A North East audio show would be fantastic. There used to be one 30+ years ago held at the Holiday Inn in Washington, it would be great to have it back. BTW, I didn’t even know that this show was being held, a little improvement in promotion necessary.
The linn speakers look very much like monitor audio ,love the new sf Sonetto line probably buying them soon unfortundly no rewords and each time I see them on a video they are with mc Intosh I have a naim

You should have been at the Maverick show in Barnsley last week of October. 40 plus rooms of people's own home systems playing the widest range of music you've ever heard
Go with what you can afford, all these units selling for stupid money are just rich ppl toys. A bit like owning a piccaso and going to a super car show, no realistic expectations
Hi Fi is a luxury product, if you want the best quality of sound, expect to pay for it. You can get close for less, but the highest levels have a price to match.
Maverick forum show last weekend of October. 40 plus rooms of members home hifi with a truly electric selection of gear, music and owners. From stacked quad 57s to 1990 Arcam fm2 speakers, diy, hi end, humble and everything in-between.
Excellent Presentation. Thank you Phil

I love how calling it a hifi journey implies that you need to keep upgrading and not be content with what you have 😅
I’m playing thru my 20 yr old Marantz CD player into my 20 yr old Denon amp thru my 10 yr old Dali 5.1……..it sure does sound effing good…….
What's the make of the furniture the amps etc are sitting on?
Those Focal actives are destined to become expensive cat scratching posts.

Hi , I’ve had sf Sonetto 2 with naim 5si for six months , you won’t be disappointed.

What other speakers are recommended with Marantz amplifiers besides B&W?
I find Naim a bit like Apple. Prefer Exposure gear. Heard Focal is great, not had a chance to listen to it.
