Bro, You are an excellent drummer. Whenever you post a video its been a great pleasure to watch. Great sounding drums & cymbals. Which are they? Samuel, India.
So i was wondering, i would say at least 50% of all the worship songs now have the 'build-up' drum part. Firstly floor and snare, then cymbal and snare. When did we start (over)using this? Do we have to use it? Yes, it builds tensing and so it helps the worship but as a drummer myself i noticed it is used soooo much. What are your thoughts on it?

I prefer clear heads.
I’ve been playing with clear for years. It’s not popular but I feel the snare is warmer and more sensitive.

Not hard at all. This is what I do. I’ve been playing CCM since I was a teen. I just never had the opportunity to play it.
Now days you gotta have the complete package and I have that. I just need more opportunities.
