Poor paladin girl. One of the few females who covers up and makes her costume look like it could be actual armor and she doesn't even get mentioned. Her armor looks beautiful.

After a year without Blizzcon, this year's costume contest was a huge disappointment for me. Seemed too short and rushed and not many of them really WOWed me.
are you guys serious? She was an innovator in cosplay when she popularized worbla as a cosplay material. She is a leader of the community in accessible methods of armor and prop building and a highly respected cosplayer
Well ... when you look up her work and her other costumes, you'll find out that she's not one of those cosplayers who are successful because of their "tit-bonus", but because she's a goddess when it comes down to cosplay! And not only her costumes are great - she's also a very kind and helpful person and she made books and tutorials so that all of us can learn to cosplay, too! She's such a Dear. And she's very talented. So I think she totally deserved the 1st Price :) But of course, all of the finalists had super amazing costumes! :)

It's all girls and 1 guy. The guy didn't even get an honorable mention or anything. This is the opposite of real life Blizzard where it's 99% guys in game.
Or rather because cosplay contests judge you up against the original character design, and hers was an original interpretation. Also, while her armor was cool, 80% of your costume being your own skin doesn't show off that much skill.
I was in the contest, and a lot of them were not in the contest. either affiliated with blizz, models, or didnt make it in time for the contest, but were able to walk.
They didn't put as much work as the other ones did tbh, I know how your thinking. It's just a really cool costume but you got to think about the constrast and how much time and effort they put on it
If you knew anything about the cosplayer, you'd know her costume involves references to 3 major blizzard games. It's half Diablo 3 wizard and half Protoss unit with a weapon from world of Warcraft. Also note it's BLIZZcon, not WoWcon. They don't need to wear WoW costumes to win or even to be considered to win.
