I did the same things you told but still could not get the visor off and i saw that the lock mechanism on the visor broke...the instructions are right as i did the same thing with a drifter and it opened with a little elbow grease but would not budge on the thunder. Probably there is a problem with the mechanism in the thunder

@@CAPTAINRIO7787 it's same for Thunder and Drifter... Just some mechanisms are too weak to break.
Those mechanisms are weak as for safety concerns. If someone has met with accident, that mechanism will break and visor will come off, so that rider can get ventilation after accident.

Do not force to remove visor... Take it to nearest helmet store... He will help you to remove it... Max chances is you might have to change its visor mechanism

How to fix top air vents its making cracking noise?

Carefully try to remove upper vents (its press type locking), use Fevicol's All Fix Glue to stick it again.... Cracking noise will go away...
Or try putting new Vents
