Here's some motivation for your drivers test: Everyone you see on the road passed it, everyone went through the same test you're gonna go through and they passed. Driving is just controlling a machine on wheels, you don't need to be a racer driver. You can drive as comfortably as you want. Stay safe, most people on the road don't know how to drive as well as you do now.
@@Hugh_de_Mortimer Is it though?? In my experience lots of people get a little too complacent with the way that they drive doing things that would see them fail were they to take the driving test now.
Your instruction and editing is fantastic, and I really appreciate the realism of having a pupil do this because it's good to watch other people learn as well as sometimes I feel like I'm just overwhelmed or not getting it! But it's just a part of learning. Thanks!
Had my test today and forward bay parking was my manouvere, smashed it and passed my test because of your videos! Thanks for the easy to follow and informative videos !
Difficulty is now, on your test, they do take you to busy car parks and it's horrible!! I've failed twice for this reason as I just get overwhelmed and make bad decisions with my judgement of which bay and my ref points. These videos are really helpful though!! Fingers crossed for my next test!!
So helpful, well pleased you made this video. All I can say is thank goodness I'm learning to drive an automatic. All that clutch business would play havoc with my limited co-ordination skills!
Very good and calculative tips but if cars are parked on sides of choosen bay, the learner car might hit or go so close to parked cars. Need to fix it as at 7.01..the learner car is in another bay..
I have my driving test tomorrow, i keep watching this video over and over. I understand everything apart from my reference point ?? Please help? Where is the reference point of when I should start turning into the bay for forward bay parking please?
I'm driving a different car that I'm not used to. It's an SUV. The problem I'm having is I can't see any of the parking bay lines from this vehicle. If I'm perfectly parked in the bay and I look to my wing mirrors... nothing. If I use the power mirrors to see as far down as I can....still no lines. So when I"m turning into a spot I've got 0 reference to know if I'm centered or not. I'll Try using a middle reference point as I'm pulling in but I loose my mental line of "middle" as I'm turning because I'm not going straight. And I feel like most lots are too narrow to be able to turn wide enough into a bay spot so you have enough angle and time to center yourself. So I wind up guessing. I get as far to the other side of the lot as I can before I start my turn into the bay. So I have as much room as possible. (Can't see any lines on the ground btw from my window because the window view is too high up) So straight away I'm not even sure where that middle point would be. I've got no line reference to see at all. Unless if there's a car on either side then at least I can just judge between the gap of those two cars. And of course it's just as bad for me reversing into a spot. I'll do the recommended positioning, look in my rearview then sometimes I'll get confused and see the bay lines of the spot I'm not trying to back into because I can't see the ones of the bay which I AM trying to back into. This SUV has smaller windows in the back side doors then it does in the front because of it's design. I feel like most American parking spaces are pretty tight since a lot of us over here do drive bigger vehicles.
Could you use a line by your shoulder as a reference point but with the intent of going in the bay after it (for front bay parking) Don't remember using the front of the car as a reference
I think the reference point should be a bit earlier as if there was a car next to where the learner turned in he woulda hit the car cos he went in the other bay
Thanks for the videos I am learning alot I wish my instructor was this good with explanations.I have a question please, when doing the front bay parking if I understood well the reference point should align with the front of the car.Am I correct? Also when turning the wheels do you do a complete stirring turn(full lock)?
You are correct, yes. Sometimes steering and reference points can vary depending on the vehicle that you are driving, but for the majority of the time, this is a good guideline.
My forward bay park has gone out the window. I go dead slow just enough. But seem to be parking slanted and too close to one car. Ar work someone actually left a not saying learn to park jeez like they are the perfect driver.
He's not joking about failing on reversing out of the car park! That's the only reason why I failed one of my driving tests - didn't check all the 6 points. Be careful!
He's had a fair few. Manouvers will come when you have a good grasp of controls. If you feel like you're there already maybe you could suggest to your instructor that you fancy learning a parking manouvre!
Get Licensed Driving School lol I could do all manoeuvres bay parking parallel on my first 2 hour lesson with my instructor some man just don’t have the brain to drive
Am driving an automatic car don't know why I can't get into a bay because 1 I will be too far pass the turning point or too early for the turning point and I had about 3 lessons on it but still can't do it and it annoying me now
Hey just a quick question please I paid for an instructor to assess my driving which was a £35 lesson. I couldn't book an exam so I asked him for assistance. After 2 weeks he called me yesterday saying I had an exam for today. I requested another lesson before the exam which was £35 again. Then he told me I needed to pay £200 for the use of the car and the exam. I refused and lost the £62 booking fee. Is this the right costing or am I just out of touch?
There is some thing wrong with me or I'm cursed or something. Not only have I got all these issues but after over 35 lessons with various instructors I had one psychopathtic female instructor about 2 years who threatened to hit me, constantly compared me to other learners, told me she didn't want to teach me and to find someone else. It's difficult to explain boa a youtube comment. I'm disabled and anxious with no support from anyone. I'm in mid 20s and yet there are 16 Yr odls
I P dw man we’ll all get there eventually, go at your pace and try focus on the positive (even in harsh criticism) so you can achieve your goals. Throw any comparisons out the window, but try learn from positive examples
You can't compare yourself to others! Some people just have a slightly tougher time picking up driving, and that's completely okay!🙌👍 The first step would probably be to find a Driving Instructor that understands you and your concerns, and then you can work on it from there. Don't get discouraged - driving isn't easy!

You would be a fabulous TV presenter 🙂
Thanks so much!
love those animation demonstrations, really helpful in explaining what can happen from a birds eye view.
I passed my test a long time a go but recently got my first car and forgot these manoeuvres but this vid has been perfect
Who else doing it like this brother? Clear and precise and the camera view is next level. Thank you so much.
Quality video so clear, wish I had videos like these when I was learning
Instructor from God . explains in a video everything very good . Bless

That’s great
You explain it really well . I always have trouble getting the car parked in between the lines

Hi Sir your driving lessons are really helping me hear in Belgium.
Mark is adorable 🥰
:)
🤢
Thank you for a very well explained and demonstrated tutorial.
Learning to drive looks like such a happy and positive experience with you, yet I’m being taught by a human cloud of negativity 😫😫
Time to get a new instructor😬
😂😂😂😂
Your videos are amazing really helpful
Big thanks for sharing sir

Hey, when you pass the first white line do you do a full lock turn of the wheel? Any tips of how much to steer would be much appreciated!!
Got my 7th test next week and this is the best explained way for this manoeuvre! Love all your videos ! Extremely helpful and accurate xx
We are happy to hear that the videos are helping! Good luck on your test. Let us know how it goes👍
Did you pass?
7th
So simple, and I can't bloody do it!
Keep practicing! Never give up ☺️
"I've seen some shocking parking in my time!"....honestly my bay parking is all over the place but between the white lines....!!
As long as you're between the lines you're good 😝
Get Driving does on the white lines count as between the white lines? Lol.....test is tomorrow! Wish me luck. Eeeekk!!
When you are doing any parking manoeuvres in bays are u aloud to get out and check if you are in and redo it and would that count as any minors
Thanks alot
Could you use a line by your shoulder as a reference point but with the intent of going in the bay after it (for front bay parking) Don't remember using the front of the car as a reference
Awesome I will copy these!!
I find this so hard I feel like I never will do it right 😓
I think the reference point should be a bit earlier as if there was a car next to where the learner turned in he woulda hit the car cos he went in the other bay
He didn't turn left more wasn't really the reference point
I was thinking of the same
Got my test In 2 hours and I’m watching this 👁👄👁il update yall if i passed wish me luck !!!!
Did you pass??
Thanks for ur video it help.
You're welcome! Happy to hear that it helped :)

@@GetDrivingjust to add is it best to align your car to your mirror as a reference point or should you align with your car? Before steering?
France, please try to make another version for some of us on automatic gear please. I don't understand or need clutch lessons
U don't cover bolton area do u lol 😆 😪 I need major help with this
Please reply if the car front can swing out into adjacent bay while going into target bay? Will examiner mark it as a serious fault?
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Whats easiest? Forwards or Backwards bay parking? 🤔
Forwards for sure
My forward bay park has gone out the window. I go dead slow just enough. But seem to be parking slanted and too close to one car. Ar work someone actually left a not saying learn to park jeez like they are the perfect driver.
😂😂 You're not alone. I'm driving for the first time in 7 years, so my parking isn't pretty. Just reverse out and go back in.
Would love to see some mock tests :)
Keep your eyes out!
Does the reference point work for both park to right and to left bays?
Is it best to make the turn when your mirror is level to the nearest line of your parking bay
Plz let me know how many turn steering wheel turn I m confuse

How many lessons has he had so far? I’ve done about 12 hours and I haven’t done a manoeuvre yet.

What was the reference point?
He opened the door, like someone was in the back seat. loool
6:14 the wing mirror doesn't look in line with the first line of the bay like at all!?
I was thinking that as well and so confused 🤷♀️
U don’t signal ? After 6 point check

u need to pay for the use of the car yea but idk if £200 is right. i just paid another lesson fee (for the duration of the test)
so for those numbers it would have cost you £132. £62 exam. £70 for lesson (35x2)
Slightly pass the reference point? Why not align with the line?
You didn't show us the reference points.
In driving school they never taught me how to parked so sad
Would this manoeuvre have been a pass in a test as at 7:01 the car went over the right line into the next bay?
I don’t think that matters
Would still be a pass. Doesn't matter at all.
Indeed, same thing happened to me and I have to reverse the car.
@@tayxenia7481why not, it can hit other parked car
Lots of emphasis placed on safety, I get it. So much so you rushed over reference points for alignment and possible turning in.
