As we step into the streets of Surat, we are greeted by the tantalizing aromas of spicy delicacies and the hustle-bustle of food vendors. We tried local favorites like Locho, a steamed snack made from gram flour and spices, and Rasawala Khaman, a delicacy which is served only in Gujarat. Yummy lassi with rose ice cream, dry fruits is a delightful and refreshing beverage available in Surat, Gujarat. This unique combination consists of a traditional Indian yogurt-based drink called lassi, which is blended with rose ice cream for a sweet and floral flavor and then topped with a scoop of creamy rose ice cream, which adds a velvety texture and enhances the taste of the drink.
The lassi is garnished with a variety of dry fruits to add a crunchy and nutty element which provide a delicious and satisfying crunch with each sip.
Our next stop is the famous Khaman House, where we indulge in a plate of fluffy and tangy Nylon Khaman. This Gujarati specialty will surely leave you craving for more. Sev Khamani, a delightful concoction of crushed Khaman Dhokla topped with garnishes like sev and chutneys. Be prepared for an explosion of flavors in your mouth. We also tried few other varieties of Khaman which are prepared in Gujarat;
Lastly, we cannot miss out on Surat's sweet delicacies. Head to Shah Jamnadas C. Ghariwala to experience the traditional mouthwatering Ghari, a sweet pastry filled with nuts, khoya, and cardamom. This treat is especially popular during festivals like Diwali.

1 question. Locho, khaman aur sev khamni mein kya farak hai?
Khaman ka solid square shape gives a different feel when you eat it, Sev Khamni ka texture loose hota hai Jo alag feel deta hai baki taste is almost the same. Locho is liked mashed khichdi or upma like consistency aur Jo masala uspe sprinkle karte hai butte daalke to uska taste completely alag ho jata hai. The first 2 things are a bit sweet and tangy but locho thoda flat hai so masala add karke chutney and onion ke sath uska taste enhance ho jata hai.

In Gujrat basicaly their Snack items are good but their Main Course is not at all good all oily sweet Sabzis, Dal and Kadi very less to no spicy dishes in their main course basicaly very unhealthy main course.
