Is Prisma no longer in Canva? I'm using Canva Pro and I can't seem to find it.
Hi @clarkzul, there are some tools in Canva that are no longer in the new editor but you can still acess to them doing the following steps on your computer: 1) insert a photo; 2) select the photo and then click "Edit photo". A bunch of options will appear on your left screen and you should scroll until the end. 3) In the end the following sentence should appear: "You're using the new photo editor. To use the old experience click here". So you click "click here" words and the old tools will appear. Then you just search for prisma. Hope this helped

Where do I get the app Prisma by Prisma Labs? I have Canva Pro and I tried to find the Prisma option...nothing. Where do I get the app? Thanks
So you have to click Use the Old Editor first. Then on the search bar you can write Prisma. Unfortunately this is one of the apps that disappeared with the new editor so we have to choose old editor first. Hope this helps. Cheers.😊
That was a great tutorial. I really love the music as well. To do the same thing but turn it into a black and white illustration how would you do that? :)
Glad you like it. So one way to do the black and white illustration is to follow all the steps I mentioned in the video and in the end do this final step: Select the cartoon > Edit image > Duotone > Chose whatever effect you want, for example chose CHERRY and then change Highlights to White and Shadow to Black and play around with the Intensity option. Sorry, me again. Yep, Canva buried it. You have to switch to the old photo effects to use Prisma. I guess you can go back and forth. Don't ask me how I found it, but I will have to try and remember! LOL!
Unfortunately many apps were buried as you said by Canva in this New Editor so I'm sure you'll remember because they used to be there and we have to go for a treasure hunt 🏴☠😜 to find them... Take care. Cheers.
why can't i see the cartoon effect? is it only available for pro users or has canva removed it?
Hi @swastiksupakar6071. You are probably using the new photo editor which is by default, the version that Canva opens now when we log in.
To have access to Canva Tool "PRISMA" you have to use the old photo editor. This is how I do it: after inserting the photo I want to turn into a cartoon, I selected it and:
1- I click Edit Photo,
2- scroll till the end of the Canva tool options (now the first you see is BG Remover, then Magic Eraser and so on).
3 - In the end you will see this message "You're using the new photo editor. To use the old experience click here" and I click it and I'm sent back to the old version.
When I do this a box appears and it's says I'm using the new version and asks me if I really want to Revert to the old editor or Keep the new editor. I click the option "Revert to the old editor". And I'm now in the old photo version.
4 - With my photo selected, I click "Edit image"
5 - In the search effects bar, I write "PRISMA" which immediately appears and I click on top of the Prisma icon.
That's how I can have access to Prisma and the old effects that Canva has not brought to the new version but they are still available to us if we revert to the old version.

Also did you notice that the Prisma effect is in the old Canva editor and as you can see in the Short I just did Canva is taking them out after March 29,2024 so probably Prisma will not be available after this date if they don't insert it in the new editor.

looks like they got rid of prisma and all their new cartoonish apps completely alters your photos. so disappointing!
