but we actually don't have one.
it's merely an ideologically motivated darwinian misnomer.
the appendix for example is definitely not a leftover of our ancestors but simply a part of the immune system and it's various components.
and yes, we can survive with no legs or only one kidney or no appendix - in a civilized society!

@@chrise-ih4ix The appendix is most definitely not supposed to still be there. It's small contribution to the immune system is outweighed by it's tendency to self destruct which can be quite catastrophic.

Just to clarify a bit. Most snakes don’t have these. It’s only really pythons and boids, so called primitive snakes. A few others have them as well. For perspective, about two thirds of all snake species are colubrids, and they don’t have vestigial pelvises.
They are called spurs, and are commonly used for mating. I’ve seen some reports of certain species using it for fights between males over mating rights, but I don’t know much about that.

That’s actually quite common. There is no “intention” in evolution, it’s more or less random gene changes that can either benefit or hurt an animal, sometimes both. A great example are giant pandas and koalas. They are both examples of species that became hyper-specialized to the point where they’re nearly nonfunctional. Shifts in genetics and environmental changes have left them very ineffective compared to many of their relatives.

@@JeremiahJames246 stories are passed down. But from my research most evolutionists claim that snakes lost their legs between 100-150 million years ago and most evolutionists say humans in any form have been around for less than 2 million years and the first Homo sapiens that are similar to humans today evolved in Africa between 200,000-300,000 years ago. So based off what evolutionists are saying this makes zero sense that humans ever would have known about snakes having legs. Also the dinosaurs according to most evolutionists believe all dinosaurs went extinct over 60 million years ago or earlier yet the Bible vividly describes certain dinosaurs. Very interesting to say the least. It doesn’t really add up unless evolutionists are wrong and the snakes losing their legs and dinosaurs walking with humans happened in the same time period while humans were alive which lines up more with a biblical world view.

Except what he said isn't backed by science at all! Those are pelvic spurs and they have a very specific use during mating. In all species the mating behaviour is similar. The pelvic spurs are usually held in the "erect" position and used by the male (at least) to stimulate the female. The male at all stages of the mating act has a tendency to dig his pelvic spurs into the female's body. Whilst crawling over the female the male's spurs will scratch the surface of the female snake often making a distinct scratching sound. On other occasions the male's spurs will move rapidly in and out, up and down, again to stimulate the female snake. Evolution is a unscientific farce!
