It's pretty rare for a parody to become more popular than the original, and now that the fanbase has finally moved past petty idiocy and squabbles and flame wars, looking back, it's pretty monumental, considering all the further parodies, art, hell, I've seen parodies of parodies at this point, it's nuts.
