As someone whose played this game off and on since launch, EVERYTHING gets nerfed. They may get minor buffs or a care package buff but overall every gun is worse then it used to be. Wingman’s gotten like 3 major nerfs, charge got nerfs recently, L-Star used to have huge bullet radius and even had its own meta that guns worthless now, spitfire had a long dominant meta early in the game, been ass for years now, R99 used to have 27 round purple mag, R301 used to be a meta laser beam that was so fun and had 28 (might’ve even used to have 31) rounds in a purple mag, etc etc

nobody is paying attention. the devs said in the dev video that the perks were completed when they did the class redesigns and they sat on it for an entire year. they want to string everyone along to increase engagement and shop buys
From my Understanding the smg nerfs are an attempt the combat the rise of Controller without touching aim assist.
Character meta I agree it's pretty open now. I do believe you do need some kind of beacon Character though. Play ing Skirmisher/Assault/Support and unless you drop super hot, your walking with 3x Napkins for awhile.

Die hard day 1 Bangalore players might hate this suggestion, but I think the best solution to the digi problem and the “Can’t See” meta is to rework her tactical.
Make smokes a single use survival item (maybe a double use, if single use is too weak).
Replace her tactical with a skill like Inspiration where she gives all her teammates in X radius a 1 second speed boost for closing gaps and capitalizing on damage.
