Oh gosh, watching this brought back some memories of our house move 6 years ago. We were an hour from having to hand the keys in and the removals people said "Sorry but we don't have room for any more stuff" There was loads they didn't get into the vans, so my partner had to load his car up three times and take it to his Mom's house. Luckily it was only 20 minutes away. So I totally understand how stressful it can be. Glad you are happy in your new home. We are too 🙂

@@LollipopBoxClub Our moving day was technically the 29th. But we moved from a rental so, we are still moving things in now! But most of it is now thankfully done.

I could see how emotional you were on the morning of your move. You held it together really well 😊 Note to self do not use AnyVan to move house 😂 Sounds like it was so stressful but at least it's over now and you are in your new home. You both seem so happy there and I'm glad moving into your new house was a positive experience despite the bad start to the day 💕

What a crazy moving day I’ve loved your journey but am so glad that we don’t have this experience in America I’ve never heard of such things that you’ve both been through. My heart sank for a moment when you were in the studio I saw the stress and anxiety in your voice I honestly thought you were going to cry. Family is the most amazing support that you could have had in the moment. Lots of love and cheers to your new home xx

Devizes is lovely to visit and also Malborough - lovely shops and coffee shops.
My son and daughter used the same removal company, one had a great experience the other a nightmare! Before I moved to my present house I had moved twice in one year with two young children. I told everyone that was the last time I would ever move and that was 43 years ago!

Wishing you years of joy and happiness in your beautiful new home. If it is that bright inside in November how glorious it will be in June and July. Yes - the salesman says one thing and the guys who are actually moving you say another. On all our moves (national and international) drawers and cupboards had to be empty unless it was towels/sweaters/lightweight clothes/bed pillows/cushions. I wonder if you can get an ornament for your tree - “first year in our new home 2023”

One last comment. I found that after we moved in to our new house, there's a period of rearranging that goes on. You think this drawer will work for this and then you find out it doesn't actually work, so you move it around.

Moving is so stressful. We moved in 2020 with our 3 kids. Exhausting!

Can't believe how much progress you made in the first day. It's interesting to see how even the new builds in the UK still have all seperate rooms. In Australia nearly all new builds are more open plan. Wonderful you had your family to help. This has made committed to going back through my home AGAIN before we move out in mid-Feb to try and pare down even more so we have less to move/ put into storage until our apartment is ready. How awful having empty all those drawers at the last minute. No wonder you were so stressed. Now I'm kinda glad that we won't be moving out and into our new place on the same day.
I class this as open planned here in the UK : )

Do you guys ever sleep??? Moving is extremely stressful but it's all behind you now. Time to look toward the future and making new and exciting memories.
It didn’t feel like we did the first few days but we were naturally waking before 6am. 2 weeks on and we are only just starting to sleep through the night 😊
The obsession with someone else’s service station food is so funny … goes to show how tired you were!

Oh and the rest of the vlog was a bit of an emotional roller-coaster too. So glad you got through the day and your families are amazing.

LOL. MOVING HOUSE IS ALWAYS STRESSFUL!!!
In the US you have to empty everything out of any type of Furniture.
Our last move was Crazy the Movers had to move us into our new house during
A blizzard with 2 feet of snow and 30 mph winds.
Your move while stressful may have been easier.
Why did you have to turn in keys on the same day, that would never happen here.
Hope this is your forever home because you do not want to do this 20 years from now.🙂
Our process is so different over here.
Everyone pays their funds on the same day.
So we had to wait for the funds from our buyers to come through that day so that the funds can then be transferred for our home.
So let’s can’t be given until all the funds have been transferred.
Then everyone moves on that day.
Oh gosh how awful for you. Having had the move from hell I can sympathise completely. The day we moved we had torrential rain, we did it ourselves and it was absolutely backbreaking work. Our sellers didn’t vacate our new home until gone 5pm which meant we had to pay extra for our lorry and when we finally got the keys we found out they’d damaged the boiler and it was leaking gas. They’d also been hoarders and left 5 skips worth of rubbish inside the house along with hundreds of fleas. We had to put everything into our lounge and then clean top to bottom it was soul destroying 😢 having been here for nearly 6yrs now I can look back and say it was the best decision we ever made but I’d never ever move again.
Oh no! What a nightmare.
We read that you can get fined if anything is left that shouldn’t be.

Hi, We moved 4 times in 2 years ( Can you imagine how stressful it was with a 10 Year old ) we had No help at all,
13 Years on we still feel stressed by it. We always buy New homes 🏠 .. Your New house looks lovely so homely already enjoy every moment. I think 🤔 decluttering your life is the key ? We all have so much stuff we never use.
Maybe just relax for a while in your new home and get your energy back .. xxx

The house looks beautiful. You really have done such a lot in such a small space of time and I appreciate the exhaustion I love seeing your happy faces.
I’m sure you know this and you probably won’t be using the 303 as much once you’re settled but we go down to Dorset a lot on that road. I have done up-and-down for the last 40 years
Until they sort Stonehenge out, it will always be like that always has been always will…
If you don’t know already, you can take a detour via lark Hill army camp. Have a look on the map it doesn’t really save you much time but you’re not sitting stagnant in traffic we would rather be moving. It’s kind of at the roundabouts each end of the long stretch going past Stonehenge, if you know what I mean

Glad you are both ok after your dreadful move out! What a nightmare. We’ve moved a few times over the years, twice to new builds. It was hard work as we had zero help. I think before you unpack everything just live in your lovely new house for a while, you will get the feel of it then & maybe a better idea of what you want in it & where you want to put stuff. I’ve still got boxes in the garage that haven’t been opened, 23 yrs later 😂
