The Story | The Project on 'GENERATION OH GENERATION'
I still remember it like yesterday, I was in a dream, and in that dream, it did not look like I was dreaming. And there was a big party going on and people were dancing and having a good time, it was such a fun atmosphere. All I kept hearing was "Generation Oh! Generation I'm with Jesus, yes I'm down with Jesus. " It kept going over and over and all of a sudden I was woken up from sleep and I got so tired like someone who went to the club the night previously and what came out of my mouth was "that was a serious party" still thinking in my head like I went to a party the other night. Then all of sudden it just hit me, just before I was about to leave my room. This was a dream, I didn't go to any party yesterday in real life. I had just witnessed some sort of heavenly party, but in my mind, the tune was still ringing in my head. "Generation Oh! Generation I'm with Jesus Yes I am down with Jesus. " I thought to myself, I got to capture this immediately before I lose it. So I took out my phone and started recording the parts of the song that was stuck in my head. I was blown away. It felt like I was in a real party. I was so happy I could remember the tune playing in my sleep. It was mellow and chill. I was excited! I said to myself, "I got to develop this." But, I kept the project aside and continued working on other projects.
Fast-forward to a few months later, I had come back from a mastermind co-write sessions with some amazing talented artists, and the Holy Spirit begins to tug on me to begin working on the project and as I begun to work on the project, I got to the part of the verse and was a bit stuck, HENBARKS4GOD name flashed in my mind and I begun thinking, his style of rap is cool and I wondered if he would be interested in this project, so I reached out and told him about the project. He was interested and said to me to send him the track and parts I have, so I did. Not too long, he sent me back the tracks, and he laid some verses on it. When I heard them, I was like "this is perfect!" I was so excited. I told him this is it. So I took the track to the studio and bam! here we are, releasing "GENERATION OH GENERATION" to the world.
