Same, the college application process this year has been extremely stressful due to delayed testing dates, and online schooling.
Just grind out those essays lol that’s what I’m doing
Dont wanna be the guy but this dude went to Troy HS LOL. Those stats are pretty good from a such competitive school. Also his sophomore-junior grades were pretty good and for UCs they only account soph-junior grades. I wouldnt say this is perfect but it definitely is not someone with bad stats getting into good schools. I have multiple friends from Troy tht get into Cal and ucla with similar or worse grades thn him
Nice, good video. I was a highschool dropout, dropped out of community college then went back and redid classes, and still got into Berkeley. Having a compelling essay and story matters a WHOLE lot more than being perfect in every regard. Failure is part of process.

Hi!! Your essays are amazing! For your personal statement you brought up a lot of extracurricular achievements you’ve done, but with other essays I’ve seen that worked they avoid anything listed on your app already, do you recommend putting accomplishments in your personal statements?
Personal Statements should include impressive accomplishments and should expand on your activities section. Generally, when people say to avoid repetition, they mean talking about the same extracurricular across multiple essays. You should definitely include accomplishments in personal statements and expand on them!
I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR A PERSON FOR SO LONG WHO HASN’T GOTTEN PERFECT GRADES!! Overall I’ve gotten One C for my final geo average, about 4 B’s and 2 B+’s and you don’t know how encouraging this is for me to see that it IS possible for someone to get into prestigious schools with these lil slip-ups! Thank you so much for your wonderful video! :)

His grade is not perfect but every course is Honors/AP/IB. I am pretty sure his situation and yours is different in weighted scale.

Im abt to end my junior year in high school and oml i thought people were joking when they said it was gonna be rough. Ive been on honor roll all my high school career until this year idk if its cause of corona but I'm scared its gonna affect getting into college.
I'm in junior year too and just received my ACT scores today. Hopefully we both get into great colleges and our essay is fire!

Keep writing. I scrapped 3 full essays because although it was well written, the idea didn’t give a good idea of who I am. Don’t be afraid to restart and keep a positive mindset!

Hi, I am a high school senior and I used the UC GPA calculator to check my gpa (bc UC has their own gpa system yk) and it says I have 4.05 weighted and 3.68 unweighted GPA. (I am not sure my my unweighted is so low) does anyone know or think if this is a good enough or safe GPA for UCSD or UCI? You guys can be very honest. I am going through college apps rn and I really need serious advice or feedback not a sweet comment :') (oh bty I am a California resident)

I got 3 C’s in my freshman year because it was my first time having full honor courses and I also came to US when I was almost done with elementary school so everything was challenging for me.
But I only got 2 b’s thruout my sophomore year with full honor courses and one ap
So I tried to get all A’s during my junior year so my gpa shows an upward trend. But now it’s almost the end of the first semester of my junior year but I have 2 b’s,, it’s not because I procrastinated but because my mom got really sick and my dad was always at work so I had to take care of my younger siblings for the last few months while also doing all of my ec’s..
I really wanna get into berkeley but I’m scared that they will reject me because of the downward trend of my gpa..
Sorry this is so long but I needed someone to ask. What should I do to raise my chances of getting into berkeley and other good colleges?
