Salah's position was a reason to transfer him out weeks ago, now, he didnt change position, its the reason to transfert him in, content creators you are exceptional 😂
@daveedwards4242 no i just play this game depends on my feeling and own eye test, impossible for me to guide someone of how to play or use chips in FPL.
The data for Wissa is great but quite skewed, how can you say Archers data is skewed by low mins but not Wissa when Wissa has played less mins than Archer? Wissa has played more than 45 mins in 4 games. His xg is huge but the two top scores were on home games against Southampton and Ipswich who are the two worst defences, one is palace at the start of the season, wouldn't say thats an easy defence to play against but palace have been poor this season, 4th one was liverpool where he had 0.00 xg. Overall the sample size for Wissa is quite small so the huge xg he has had on home fixtures against the two worst defences really skews the data (without these two his xg per 90 is about 0.5, still good but on par with others at the price point). A lot of other players are getting v high xg/xgi againt the 3 promoted clubs. Haaland put up 2.33 v Saints, but mentioning him is pointless as then the argument can become that if Wissa is similar to Haaland in data then hes a great pick.Other forwards against these clubs are, DCL 1.31 v ipswich, vardy 1.03 v saints, mateta 1.36 v leicester, archer 1.26 v ipswich and 1.02 v leicester, zirkzee 1.14 v saints. I am not saying Wissa is a bad pick at all but i think you really need to take into account the sample size and where a lot of the xg has come from. What he has done against these two teams is what many forwards are doing, and you would expect to happen quite often as the season goes on. I think the take away from this is less bring in Wissa and more that the 3 premoted clubs are really good to target for attacking players, but this is something that most people should already know
It's a fair point. But could probably be condensed to the fact his 0.93 xGI per 90 this season, compares to just 0.42 xGI per 90 over the previous two seasons. So yes, it's skewed by having a disproportionate amount of his minutes this season against weak defensive teams but, given he's on radar because the short-term fixtures are favourable, it is encouraging he accumulates good xGI in those type of fixtures. So, as you say, he still represents a good pick - we just shouldn't be intoxicated by thinking he's a return-a-game man.
Apologies if i kill your watching metrics... I must pause every single video of yours 12 to 15 times because you have given me something to think about! I don't always agree with your conclusions but your insights and questions are contributing to my best ever FPL start - so thank you!
What I like about saka is his consistency, he's not the most explosive asset, but he literally hasn't blanked all season when he's played, also I'm an arsenal fan I have to back my boy
Nearly the same situation. I'm gonna sell Trent, Gabriel and Foden for Salah ,Dalot/Mazraui and Aint Nuri. But really don't want to sell Trent think he should haul ... Have 3 free transfers
The segment on the premiums / captaincy options really made me feel good about my decision to have haaland salah palmer. I felt forced into getting Palmer because of Saka's "injury" but in the long run could be a good choice. But now I'm already enticed by the idea of dropping Haaland lol
also genuinely super interesting segment about the bonus points system. That is some fantastic insight and could prover super useful. Also, sell Dominic SoBlanke
No thank you, I'm sticking with Haaland. This discussion was had before and all Salah owners switch to Haaland. Most of man city fixtures are great. He just missed chances last game. He'll be fine. Man city offence is focus on Haaland. Can't really say the same for Salah(etc Diaz, Jota) TAA now tend to swing the ball to the other side where Diaz or Gakpo is
This video made me feel justified. I already swapped Solanke for Wissa before this video popped up, just in case Wissa rose last night, I was going to be priced out. Turned out he didn't anyway, but I still think I made the right choice 👌
I'm pivoting to Salah, but my thinking is I will switch back when de Bruyne returns. Have structured it so that it would only take a minus 4 to get back. I will have Saka,Salah,Palmer,Mbuemo, Rutter, with Cunha, Wissa, Jackson up front and 4m in the bank. Defence is Konate Lewis Hall with Sels as keeper
I've had both for a long time but to many compromises in the rest of the group, especially when Haaland doesn't deliver. I sold him now and went Haaland->Cunha, Carvalho->Saka, Rogers->Mbeumo, Greaves->Ait-Nouri. Hope it pays off and Haaland doesn't start with hatricks again 😅
What do you think to my team? 0.3 in bank… Raya Gabriel, Lewis, davis, aina, harwood Salah, palmer, rogers, mbuemo, dibling Haaland, Wissa, strand Larsen
Now having my internal debate over switching to Salah from Haaland this week and take a -4 or wait another week and have two free transfers. Currently have Raya/Fabianski - Trent/Gabriel/Pau/Harwood/Greaves - Saka/Palmer/Mbeumo/Morgan/McNeil - Wissa/Raul/Haaland. Thinking Haaland to Cunha and McNeil to Salah. Gives me 1.6 to play with for later rejigs. Alternatively could go to Jackson and have 0.1 left. Need to rework defence as well, but that keeps getting delayed.
Do you think it would be a good idea to replace Gabriel for lewis, solanke for raul, foden for salah? (-8 hit) full team (after above transfers)- martinez / slicker gvardiol ait nouri lewis / van den berg, greaves palmer salah mbeumo rogers / carvalho haaland raul wood
I think the 3 transfers at the end of the video are good. I'd be 60-40 in favour of making the moves on paper. Although, I don't believe Foden is a must sell, rather a distaste for him blanking in GW9. Away at Bournemouth and Brighton will be way more open games than Southampton and I see lots of space and chances for both Haaland and Foden. City v Spurs midweek may help make your mind up. If Solanke starts and plays more as he should (in the box) and he gets them big chances back, even if he doesn't score, I'd be more reluctant to sell, personally. But owning Salah and Haaland stops all the FOMO for the rest of the season which may make your experience more enjoyable lol.
That’s interesting what you spoke about with Baker but what I don’t get is, how did Salah get all 3 bonus when Saka also scored and was way better at dribbling and winning fouls in that game? Makes no sense to me, he was better at passing as well
I’m looking to roll for the next 2 weeks to then do Haaland, Rogers, Solanke and Kulusevski out for Saka, Salah, Wissa and Welbeck for a -4, would you do it Ross?
Is it worth keeping watkins for this week, over one of Wood/Wissa/Strand Larsen (I already have Cunha), before making this switch next week? I dont know whether to expect good things from Villa against Spurs away or if those cheaper options have better prospects. Thanks
I've drafted no Haaland WC without hitting the button ; Sanchez + Fabianski Trent, Gvardiol, Ait-Nourri, Van den berg, Harwood Bellis (just to keep team value) Salah, Saka, Palmer, Mbeumo, Rogers Jiminez, Jackson, Cunha with 0.7m in the bank and 1FT. Plan to save transfers for fixture swings in 12\14 to get Watkins e.t.c
Chelsea fan here. There’s a possibility of Jorgensen coming in for Sanchez bcz Sanchez is just making way too many mistakes and his passing accuracy is horrendous. So there’s a caution of him being benched in near future. So don’t u think we should avoid Sanchez in WC?
I'd personally keep DCL for the Southampton game, but I have absolutely no issues selling for the same kind of reasons I discuss in the Solanke section
I think you're somehow really underestimating Haaland, not sure if its recency bias for him not fulfilling his xG v Southampton? He has only not returned at home once this season. Spurs, Forest, United are all easy games for City and at home, Haaland will return. For me, Haaland & Palmer are the 2 premiums to absolutely lock into the squads for the foreseeable. It's then Salah v Saka (+£2.5m). Haaland you shouldn't remove until GW23, unless he is injured.
@ApocaWho And a team value of 102.7. I started the season with Haaland, still have him, was an easy 0.4 profit. But I'm sure everyone went with Haaland as each season he just go up in price and scores goal no ?
Why is EVE (H) a captainable fixture for Haaland but not Saka? And FUL (H) for Son but not Salah? Are you reading something into the way that these teams will set up differently?
It’s because the other fixtures in those weeks for other assets are better (or not). So FUL (H) in that week for Son is captainable because there aren’t many good alternatives
Wissa has accumulated all of his xG against the worst 3 teams in the league and the first minute against Man City. He won’t play those teams again and could get another flukey first minute goal but looks like a clear trap to me I’ll be avoiding, no pens, would not be surprised in the slightest if he blanks 4 of the next 5
Been following Haaland from Salzburg, and Dortmund. I will go away from Haaland because he usually struggle mid-season. He is a big player and can't keep up with the high demand.
I know hindsight is a beautiful thing but do you feel you got too caught up in bringing in Haaland for Salah? Start of the season you were big advocate for Salah and everything you were saying back then made sense. I felt your logic and reasoning was just thrown out the window and now you are in a position of uncertainty. My question is why did you throw your logic out the window? Knowing it just isn’t possible to score 3 or 2 goals most game weeks.
raptor, would you ever do a behind-the-scenes video? it would beally interesting to see both the quantitative and qualitative materials you prepare to make a video

Great triple transfer!! Go for it!!
Just transferred Son > Palmer & Wood > Raul for a Haaland + Salah + Palmer triple premium 🌟🌟🌟
Love this, i just woke up, day off. Let's spend the morning with Mr Ross get in. ❤

I'm thinking of getting Salah in and selling Trent for a minus 4. In addition I will be bringing in Cunha and Ait Nouri with Salah
Good for you but I couldn’t give a F what transfers you make.

Tbh Ross I am looking at Wissa rather than Cunha who seems a good option too. I have looked at Dalot who has great data. Good shout 👍

I have 2 options:
Raul and van der berg with 0.2m in bank
Or
Wissa and burgess with 0m in the bank?
HELP (I’m happy with the rest of my team)
What do you think to my team? 0.3 in bank…
Raya
Gabriel, Lewis, davis, aina, harwood

Haaland, Wissa, strand Larsen
Now having my internal debate over switching to Salah from Haaland this week and take a -4 or wait another week and have two free transfers. Done Havertz, Solanke, Semenyo to Cunha, Raul, Palmer, Haaland and Salah already in
Do you think it would be a good idea to replace Gabriel for lewis, solanke for raul, foden for salah? (-8 hit)
full team (after above transfers)-
martinez / slicker
gvardiol ait nouri lewis / van den berg, greaves
palmer salah mbeumo rogers / carvalho
haaland raul wood

nice hoodie!
Salah is essential.even v man city is a good fixture as city's defence is leaky
Would you rather have Salah, Ait-Nouri, Strand Larsen + Gabriel OR Saka, Trent, Cunha + Ait-Nouri?
I swapped Haaland to Cunha, and Semenyo to Salah. Please don't bring salah in, I want him to keep scoring😂
That’s interesting what you spoke about with Baker but what I don’t get is, how did Salah get all 3 bonus when Saka also scored and was way better at dribbling and winning fouls in that game? Makes no sense to me, he was better at passing as well

I like more and more to own 4 premiums :) obviously, this comes with big sacrifices -- but, why not? :)

Who is the best cheap midfielder??
McNeil, followed by Rogers
Are you still fine with DCL owners with 2 transfers selling to cunha. Also do you think I have to sell one of Trent/gabriel this week to raise funds
I'd personally keep DCL for the Southampton game, but I have absolutely no issues selling for the same kind of reasons I discuss in the Solanke section
I have DCL and solanke so think I’m keeping solanke for the next 2 games then moving on

Wissa is 0.91 on npxG due to fewer games he's played compared to other players. Sample size uped the data..
He’s still played a decent number of minutes
