My favorite tip for casting on a lot of stitches with the long tail cast on: use both ends of the yarn ball. You'll never run out of tail before you finish.
Just discovered your podcast today. Great to get a kiwi take on knitting. Have been binge watching your past episodes as I knit. Keep-cup tip - fantastic! Immediately went and got one I have with a leaky lid and it works perfectly. Thanks so much. Keep up the great work.
When casting on to work in the round cast on 1 extra stitch. Then when you join the 2 ends together knit the first and last stitch together. This closes up the gap you sometimes get at the join site.
Thank you so much!! Glad that you found them helpful, that's so great to hear :) enjoy watching my other episodes! I love watching video podcasts as I knit too xx

Diana that is genius 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 will definitely use that tip, thank you!!
My best tip is using colourful paper clips as stitch markers - cheap, flat and in many colours. Greetings from UK xx
Those are great tips too!
Thank you for your tips appreciate it.
I also check thrift store clothing for nice buttons. Those can be purchased cheaper than 2 new buttons. Love your podcast!
