Lenteur phénoménologique ... Sergiu Celibidache l'a défendue et illustrée avec brio. Ici elle se justifie par la complexité de l'écriture. Un tempo plus rapide diminue l'entière perception des trésors contrapunctiques et harmoniques.
Eleven years since you wrote your comment. By this time (if you have worked on the piece) you ought to be able to play it as well as you wished you could eleven years ago.

Yes, I too love the tempo. What a superb organist she is. This piece needs a larger organ really but Katja makes the most of this instrument
