Pressure transmitter is an instrument that is used for measuring pressure in gases and liquids.
As the name indicate the Pressure transmitter senses pressure and converts it into a proportional electrical output signal and The output is then transmitted to a control system like plc
In the process industries, it is often necessary to transmit the measurement signal from a sensor
over a substantial distance so that it can be used to implement a control function or can be combined with other measurement signals in a more complex scheme.
Gauge pressure transmitter measure the input pressure with reference to atmospheric pressure (vented to atmosphere). As the sensors are open to the atmosphere, they are susceptible to humidity. Care must be taken that units are installed in dry areas (otherwise internal circuitry can fail).
Absolute pressure transmitter measure the input pressure with reference to a vacuum sealed port at 0bar . Specified where absolute pressure measurements are required, eg barometric pressures, or where equipment needs to have all the air removed.
Differential pressure transmitter
Here the reference pressure is neither ambient nor internal to the sensor. The sensor is supplied with two ports - high and low inputs - and will measure the difference between the two. Generally used for filter measurement applications. See our range of differential pressure sensors.

You r Contributing to a great extent to freshers knowledge enhance ...keep it up❤
i just started watching your channel and I would say this is one of the best channel.
Thankyou sooo much ...this video is very helpful to me.
Many thanks for your useful information and videos
It's nice and help full .thank you for providing a beautiful lesson
Hii.. Please kindly post Each Videos for Coriolis Mass Flowmeter, Electromagnetic Flowmeter, Turbine Flowmeter, Vortex Flowmeter and Portable Ultasonic Flowmeter - Transit Time & Doppler Effect - Working Principle, and its Application
Excellent teaching.
Please upload more instrumentation videos... You are doing really great..
yours videos is very interesting and very knowledgeable . Thank you for making these videos . I hope you will make more videos on the Instrumentation . 👌👌
Very good explanation it's halps alot
Mam, your video is actually awesome but tell it slowly to understand better and your simple animation is also easy to visualize things.
thank you maam
beatiful
Best explanation of concept
Really very detailed n helpful

I wonder if the low pressure side used atmospheric pressure when measuring the differential pressure between the forced draft fan and induced draft fan.
Mam more videos required
Dear Mam,
I am gonna build egg incubator. I am planning to use PID digitel controller w RTD PT 100 sensor and capacitive humidity sensor. I need suggestion which brand ofcapacitive humidity sensor best to use? Also which calibration instrument is appropriate to use to controll heat and humidity inside incubator. I am hoping to hear from you soon thx foto you kindness.
iam still dont understand differential pressure transmitter work, the pressure which want to be measured must placed in both side ? anyone can explain ?
Ma'am where is your office
How gauge transmitter is independent of atmospheric pressure while in port 1 it has the pressure of atmosphere acting on the diaphgram in between two ports. Anyone please explain.
Okay thanks there was another video before it. I got it. Lovely explanation 🙌
The atmospheric pressure acts on both sides, so they act opposite to each other, therefore they cancel each other leaving only the measured pressure ..IE the pressure from the process for example wich doesn't depend on the atmospheric pressure and depends only on the process
@@ram31299 if atmospheric pressure get cancelled both side, then why we take atmospheric pressure as reference.??
@@mdabdullah8819 I think that's why they said that Absolute/Vaccume/Zero preasure guage is more desireable when looking for accuracy in preasure
Wanna talk to you
