It's easy to forget, what with the way the nature of life in 40k is, but the Space Marines lost a future life too. There were talks among Space Marines about being able to actually retire once the Great Crusade was done. Then the Heresy happened, and no Marine would ever know a life of peace.

I think my favorite thing about this AMV, inparticular, is that you really CAN see why people consider the Imperium of Man, its military, and its government as the "good guys". War and violence is always pointless, that's why its war, because its senseless, but I think the existential horror element of the way its presented is that these races are so significantly different and in a rush to consume the most in order not to be consumed that, to the average person on the ground, a space marine really MUST look like an angel, because they're all that stands between them and the senseless chaos. We are beings born out of the inferno of chaos and war and our very existence and dominance on this earth is owed solely to the billions who have killed and been killed in the never ending pursuit of a golden age where no longer does any human being have to live in fear and endlessly struggle just to survive. We struggle ever onward just in the vain hope that someday there truly will be peace and the horrors of the past will be just that in the past.

Those who say Warhammer is too dark to have a place amidst the mainstream (as if that was important): Warhammer is a cultural und cathartic reflection on the terrors of two World Wars, fashism, communism (which many Marican have strong opinions about, but never really experienced it first or second hand. We Europeans have.) and the religious insanity of the crusades, the inquisition and so forth. If there will eventually be a warhammer movie, I do not want them to play it safe: Show me the horrors of corruption that lay beyond the reach of the astronomican, or the sheer dread but also the ardent faith of the astra militarum, show me the human suffering, what we are fightig against and what for and how much we ourselves have turned into monsters like the Mechanicum. Warhammer is a dark, cathartic vision of humanity at its darkest and most desperate. Put that into a movie, leave out any leftist SJW-BS or whatever politics is going on on your campus college and just: Make. A. Good. Movie. Grimdark, depressing, haunting, yet uplifting.
Goliath Steinbeisser You do realize that Americans have fought both communist and Fascist? We have sent our young boys to be killed and while some of us weren’t there ww2 ended over 70 years ago. Americans have fought communist and many Americans have lived under communist regimes. But Europeans love to forget that Americans fought and died for their Freedom, and that it was Europeans who oppressed them. So yes Americans have seen the horrors of both Communism and Fascism. Many have seen the effects of anti semitic propaganda. Some have fled distant dictators or radical communist governments. You should be lucky that Americans have seen fit to die for the Freedom of others. With great personal expense and cost in life served has a mighty bastion of democracy. So perhaps we aren’t so undeserving of our strong opinions, because you seem to have a few of you own.
The Night Guards Legion I might not of but many Americans have. I mean that quite literally, many Americans have fought Fascist and communist in their native country. Many Americans have fought and bled for the freedom of others against such tyrannical regimes. And you argue that the US, interventions in democratic governments was unjustified. You defend the popular governments despite their actions, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and dozens of others have been popular dictators. With the majority of their population supporting them at one time or another, so was it wrong for the US to oppose them. Should we have bought grain taken from the mouth of Ukraines, or allowed the mass extermination of Jews to go uninterrupted, or perhaps allowed Korea and countless others be occupied by Communist revolutionaries? No because the cost and effect of their actions are plain to see. Just because I was not in a concentration camp does not mean I cannot have empathy for the Jewish people. Just because I have never been forced to work for countless hours to meat impossible quotas does not mean I do not relate to the Russians suffering. Just because I did not fight in a hundred rice fields for some else’s freedom does not mean I do not understand Vietnam. Just because I did not live beneath the tyranny of a dictator does not mean I cannot have compassion and understanding for all those who have. If I can only understand what I myself have experienced than I know nothing more than what I am. I do doubt that you yourself have lived in Nazi Germany, Stalinist Russia, for Maoist China, but I’m sure you can understand what happened to those people. I’m sure you can relate to their suffering and have empathy for them. You do not have to live through something to experience it, you can gain experience by listening to those who have. Please stop being so narrow minded and hateful. The US isn’t perfect but we are a people who have experienced all of those thing I listen and more. The galaxy is changing little one. And ignorance will only hide you for so long. I am weak? By words alone worlds have fallen from your precious Emperor’s light, with truth have I broken the wills of his faithful. The Gods are mightier than ever, the fevered pitch of the screaming Materium feeding them ever greater. The Great Game is not so silly little mortal, it is the balance of the very Immaterium itself, a game for survival, dominance and power, it sharpens the servants of the Gods greater, it weeds out the weak, and it is why you are so worthless by comparison. A miniscule worm beneath notice. My defence is the truth, my strength is knowledge, my power is the blessings of gods and I assure you, I am no dust.

Вселенная Вархаммер отлично отражает что огромные шаги в прогрессе не значат никакого светлого будущего, они лишь значат страдания и смерть, то что дал император, убивает, но в то же время даёт жизнь
Let us be a bright flame lighting up this dark and broken world. Let us not go down but if we do, May the goddess of death protect us. A bit of a book I am writing.
There is always one thing I find missing from the 40kverse. And it's not a good plot, or interesting characters, or anything like that... It's the light of hope. In the far distant future, there is no hope, no light. Only the endless war in a cold, grim darkness, and the laughter of thirsting gods.
My Dream scenario: Emps gets off his duff, cuts a deal with the rest of the surviving Gods of Order. Nurgle watches in shock and surprise as the door to his Garden gets kicked down. From the other side emerges Emperor and the Dragon. Emps just locks eyes with the Big Pussball, says "Get him," then turns away to bust Isha out of her cage as the Dragon messily devours the God of Life once and for all. Khorne experiences Terror for the first time as a Webway portal opens and a reformed Khaine and Nightbringer step out. As the Nightbringer slaughters Khorne's followers with a cold efficiency, Khaine raises his sword towards Khorne and says, with a gleeful smirk, "Round Two you paraplegic waste." Tzeentch feels a knot in his metaphysical gut as the Deceiver and Cegorach play a game of interdimensional Knife and Candle with the Great Octopus. Slaanesh remains alone, the last bastion of Chaos and instability. It wonders where this feeling of Hunger comes from. It's a feeling the Prince of Pleasure has never felt before. It is eternal, unending, relentless and immeasureable. Then, a new force comes through the Eye of Terror. Enormous ships come flooding through in countless numbers. Slaanesh realizes with a sudden horror. The Hunger it felt was coming from the ships and from the creatures aboard them. It was hungering for him.
Wao, very good video, some of the videos i know from game cutscens. Where is the scene from the Parade from? Sry my english is not the best ;) The Emperror protects!
As dumb as it sounds, I can relate to the warhammer universe. Everywhere I look, I see death, pain, and suffering of one kind or another. Yet I see something else to. I see ordinary men and women, I see them fighting to push back the darkness that is human nature, I see them working to save the lost and innocent. I watch them, as they struggle against an ever growing and strengthening wave of hatred, pain, violence, and human depravity. They are soldiers, police officers, EMTs, hospital workers and human rights activists and so many others. I see them, and say to them, "thank you." I watch as, even when they are beaten, they never give up, never quit, and never just lay down and die. They fight to make things better. I say to you, you ordinary men and women, "thank you."

Slaanesh is a god of excess and extreme.
Sensation, experience, joy, grief, pain, pleasure, artistry, perfection, beauty.
How many suffer in squalor, how many live in decadence?
All your nobles and citizens with their very actions feed the Prince of Excess.
Do not mistake your foolish facade for protection.
10,000 years of this and we grow ever stronger. The Game played ever greater in the Warp, do not think yourself so highly valued little mortal.
I never followed the Warmaster.
But the Long War continues, Cadia has fallen, the Great Rift has opened and there are still greater battles to come.
The Daemon Primarchs are marching once more, greater than the Warmaster.
The song is a calmer explanation in warhammer
true
Remember what we're fighting for!
Soldiers who've been fighting for so long: what was it we were fighting for again?
rest in peace to all the soldiers who died in battle
A nation that dwells on death does not speak of pleasure. A nation that dwells on pleasure will not speak of death.
This makes me think back to the Isstvan drop site massacre
Welp. I cried.
Green Giant you are weak weak I say
One of a kind GMV. Simply PERFECT! Haven't seen something like that for a long time now. Thank you! For The Emperor!!!
This song hits on so many levels damn
Roboutte Guillaman
"Shall we stop this bleeding?"
This brought tears to my eyes. Emperor be praised.
This crumbling Imperium, lorded over by weak men, and ruled by a rotting lich… and you would stand there in defense of a this? A galactic monument to failure, built on lies and the backs of uncountable corpses! Why?!
Because the alternative is worse. That's why.
Ask Ollanius who face Horus when emperor cant. Ask Malcador who die on throne. Ask Sanguinius who fall by hand of Lupercal. Ask Emperor who almost die and kill his son and then accept perpetual torment on throne. And they do so for mankind.
Two kinds of people:

It says something about 40K that both of those are equally relevant.
There's no greater tragedy than the soldiers who couldn't live to see a time of true peace and an end to the horrors war..
Takes a while until you realise the grim truth of the franchise. there's no happy ending here, no matter how many possible outcomes are....
There is always death, on any side. There is only desperate battle for survival, and even Guilliman struggles to change with his upgraded marines. There is only... war.
@@SULFURIOUS and death and destruction...
I heard they're related in blood... brothers and cousins..... Is this true?
@@orkloota4544?
I listened to this once and i loved it.
Thank you SULFUR
When you have to hold off brutal enemies, who won’t hesitant to commit war crimes against you. So you have to resort to more and more brutal tactics.
Best youtuber EVER!!!! You thought this through amazingly keep it up I respect you and your viewers.
"They were my brothers... But for no longer"
THE EMPEROR PROTECTS.
LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!
Would be nice if someone did something similar with Magnamund. Lone Wolf is a rich enough environment and generic fantasy might fit.
A thumbs up for your name. :)
Wow so good my man. We need more
May the emperor bless you its a beautiful song I wish he will come back to save mankind
Warhammer
Bathe in his holy light for we fall for him and our fellow man to protect the future of mankind
space marines in a nutshell: THE CHEESE IT BURNS!
Let us be a bright flame lighting up this dark and broken world. Let us not go down but if we do, May the goddess of death protect us.
A bit of a book I am writing.
Вспоминаешь об руинах после боя и понимаешь, что война плохо заканчиваеться для всех.
Пустые города, полу-разрушенные здания и ни одной живой души...
Божественно!
We all just gonna ignore how that PDF soldier at 2:32 ran between two fighting space marines?
We most certainly will not. If that man were alive today, he'd get a mighty fine award for his service.
The epitome of badassery. Respec😑
What a great tribute keep up the good work
Very Nice , love it
Magnifique
If someone covered this song in Latin it might make a damn good High Gothic anthem
Damn onions ....
it is just soo good ( :
Those battle scenes with the ultramarines, cataphractii terminators and chaos marines, was that the battle of Calth?
I think it is going to either Calth or Armatura. either way it is set in the shadow Crusade
Calth and shadow Crusade
There is always one thing I find missing from the 40kverse. And it's not a good plot, or interesting characters, or anything like that...
It's the light of hope. In the far distant future, there is no hope, no light. Only the endless war in a cold, grim darkness, and the laughter of thirsting gods.
Слава Императору!
Слава Империи Человеческой!
Слава героям империи, героям фронта и тыла!
Не шагу назад, только экспансия!
The imperial Navy never faulters in the path of its duties!
LOVE IT you is cool youtuber
Ultramarine : No time to rest
Chaos : who?
An ironic ray of hope could be the return of the Silent King. If someone can kill or left vegetal a Chaos god is him.
As the Nightbringer slaughters Khorne's followers with a cold efficiency, Khaine raises his sword towards Khorne and says, with a gleeful smirk, "Round Two you paraplegic waste."
Tzeentch feels a knot in his metaphysical gut as the Deceiver and Cegorach play a game of interdimensional Knife and Candle with the Great Octopus.
@@thebighurt2495 While Malal is watching the spectacle and smoking a good Habanero pure. Then he says: What a beautiful mess!!!!!

Can someone explain why space marines are smaller than before?
i dont care what you say the humans in warhammer are the most unlucky faction in scifi
then its the necrons
change my mind
Anyone else wish they could enter the universe of Warhammer 30k and somehow stop the Horus Heresy?
I'd be fine with being put in a dreadnought even though im perfectly healthy just so i could get my sights on Horus.
Could there be a mechanicus tribute
Очень классно 👍
Not holy enough. Still good
This is where humanity is heading for.. minus the starships..
