i hated it at first but i've watched this video like 100x now and his voice actually grew on me. aside from the controversy of matt filling in for CBP, this is obviously a stellar performance...from karl's solos to justin's rhythm guitar completely on point, this is one of the best live CBP vids i've seen. the atmosphere is electric.
No. I like them JUST with THIS singer. Thats what i called a real Rock'n' roll singer. A great band and sound. But i dosnt like all the other singer. Before and after this one. "Dark was the night" !!!..for example.✌🏻
Volk was amazing, and so many of the earlier songs centered around his talent. He went solo. It happens. I'm glad the band didn't try to get a copy to replace him. Listening to the band with the new singer on his terms, they seem to have the electricity back. Love it. I was worried because right after Volk left, they just sounded flat. The Phoenix has risen. They tend to do that.
I must be one of the rare ones that appreciates the singers grittiness, it adds to the ‘i don’t care how it sounds, I gotta get this shit out’ of this song. Next to that, if the band is okay with it, so am I, I’m no personal-taste-purist.
The singing is fine, but after the band comes crashing back in following the crowd's chanting he should've just kept quite and let the instruments and audience sing.
I'm sorry for hating, but this singer is the fake kind of rocker I just can't stand. So busy with slow-dancing against the mic stand, smoking, having long hair and having a rough sounding voice, that actually being able to sing isn't a priority anymore.

after Joe left, this was a fantastic CPB lineup. they're still good but man, it's a shame when egos get in the way of making good music.
