I'm giving my mom a bridal shower for her 54th wedding anniversary. One thing she didn't get to do and wished she had done was a bridal shower, so I'm going to surprise her with a luxurious bridal shower so she can feel like a Queen for the day....I'll be making these beautiful rose petal bridal candles as centerpieces. What weight paper are you using for the base of the rose pedal gown?

I used a poster board piece from Dollar tree. I's in their Jot office supply section. I think it comes with 4-5 pieces and I'm not sure if the still sell it but any lightweight poster board should work.

What type of paper did you use for the skirt

For the underskirt of the rose petals I used leftover craft paper. You can get it at any craft shop but construction paper will work too. Even thin cardboard (cut up a cereal box) or photo grade paper would work.

Sorry I didn't see this but it really doesn't matter which you get. I have made a ton of these and I used both sizes. You can cut the middle out more to make smaller ones. Hope that helps.
