I mean in 3.0 most of the time they don't any more because of how nerfed they are compared to Cops. Bigger numbers, escalate to class 2's if shot at even if crims use class 1's. One shot head shots. Forced first person view in cars. Can't run or jump while escorting. CG have become very scared of big number of Cops compared to before. Before it was everyone goes back to save the boys even if it is one person who got caught or downed.

True but I think for the aspect of GTA RP, it’s standard to handcuff for detainment. Every if not most cops handcuff when detaining. Then uncuff when done with questioning. But in terms of RP, you’re supposed to go with it. Like when someone pulls a gun on you, you put your hands up. You don’t try to pull a gun out yourself. Cause otherwise, detainment can easily become running away. Which I mean that becomes a questionable thing in RP. What if you choose to run, should that be decided before taken in for questioning, but then you can’t if you’re cuffed after. It’s kinda the deal between RP v real life. I mean in 3.0 most of the time they don't any more because of how nerfed they are compared to Cops. Bigger numbers, escalate to class 2's if shot at even if crims use class 1's. One shot head shots. Forced first person view in cars. Can't run or jump while escorting. CG have become very scared of big number of Cops compared to before. Before it was everyone goes back to save the boys even if it is one person who got caught or downed.
@super hessu I personally would use scared. Because I see it as lots of hesitation to act when in tough positions. Indecisiveness when coming up with plans. Like if Mr.K is around whatever he says goes and everyone respects the call. Whenever someone else says something like let's shoot, they get into a 2 minute conversation about shooting vs not shooting. Meanwhile more Cops are showing up. Like the amount of times just shoot them when there is like one Cop there and calls in back up. Is insane. That is why it was such a shock when Randy got out of the Car during the weed run and straight blasted that one Cop after she called for backup. And the main reason they are scared is one shot head shots. Which personal I don't like, but having that mechanic in the game makes people second guess their decisions.

I think they can like make a gang alliance and say "lets f up cops whenever anyone sees them" but they can't plan an attack and all jump cops at the same time. They wont ban anyone for swapping vehicles. What I saw during their meeting was no bikes allowed in front of banks, of they see it they will get you a car instead, if you dont take the car they breach (kinda NVL of the hostage). As for the swapping, they wont ban, they will just light up the tires so you cant escape (which is also kinda NVL because you are endangering civvies and also the people in the car)

you dont need to handcuff a person to detain them, simply asking them to stay with you and not leave until youve finished questioning them is detainment, using cuffs is an arrest.
True but I think for the aspect of GTA RP, it’s standard to handcuff for detainment. Every if not most cops handcuff when detaining. Then uncuff when done with questioning. But in terms of RP, you’re supposed to go with it. Like when someone pulls a gun on you, you put your hands up. You don’t try to pull a gun out yourself. Cause otherwise, detainment can easily become running away. Which I mean that becomes a questionable thing in RP. What if you choose to run, should that be decided before taken in for questioning, but then you can’t if you’re cuffed after. It’s kinda the deal between RP v real life. They’re also just regular people for the most part

Given they were in the area of the stolen cruiser, hiding on a rooftop and wearing masks, that’s more than enough reason to detain them for questioning. Once the questioning was done he was released due to a lack of evidence so not sure what your issue is?

How did they know who you were if you had a mask on? He claimed they had to hold guns on him because he has 8 counts of attempt murder of a gov employee but they wouldn’t have known that since he had is mask on.
I don't really like the "detain for questioning" bit. If they find valid evidence that they were tied to a crime committed then they should be able to put a warrant out for arrest after the fact. That's realism for ya. 🤷
