When to Prune Asparagus Fern

    Growing asparagus is a long game. It's a perennial vegetable that will last for 20+ years. But in the first few years it's best to let it be and harvest minimally or better yet, not at all. However, each year the asparagus will fern and you should leave the ferns until they completely die back and then you should prune them off at the soil level. Continue doing this process year after year for better success with your asparagus.

    So my asparagus has been planted for two years now and this year we got some Speers and I picked them is that gonna effect next year ? I planted from crowns
