Newport Pagnell Floods - Easter 1998

A video of the floods at Newport Pagnell on Good Friday 1998. The video shows a walk round the town starting from Willen Road then Silver Street, The Iron Bridge, The Old Cemetary, Brooklands, North Bridges, Lakes Lane, inside the home of Mr Gerald Stratton of Lakes Lane, the Fire Station, Marsh End Road, Station Road and Caldecote Street. The video was filmed by Nick Read a local resident. Flood defencies have now been built which should stop this level of flooding happening again, (time will tell!)

Long time since I've lived in Newport Pagnell, but I remember the floods once a year every year .
I miss the place

remember it well,both rivers either side of town overflowing, still had to go to work though
