    I loved the way of looking at correlation using averages (9:27). It is easy to be throw off when you have outliers in your data that do not neatly fit your straight lines (I have to admit that I answered incorrectly as well despite being a professional data analyst :P). I definitely learned something new today. Thanks Dana and GMAT ninja :)

    Many thanks for the DI videos. How would you work on a time management strategy for DI in general? I am new to this section so I am averaging 3:40 - 4:00 min per question however the avg. time spent in GMAT club is around 02:55 min per question.

    Great video as usual, wanted to know what the answer would be for the last one if the options were something like A then B (non consecutive clients)..

    Thank you for this video! I have one question though, when it comes to the true and false tables, would it be fair to assume that each question has two truths and one false or two false and one true? I am asking in regards to possibly saving time if we are running out on the exam. I hope to hear from you soon!

    • @GMATNinjaTutoring
      @GMATNinjaTutoring  10 місяців тому

      It would be lovely if we could assume that but, unfortunately, the GMAT question writers are not going to make things that easy! I've put links below to two official questions where the answers are either all false or all true, so we can't make that assumption.
      *Disclaimer:* these questions are from various parts of the GMAT Prep software. They could appear in a practice exam, so please don't study them here as that might affect the reliability of your practice exam scores. I'm only listing them here as examples of questions in which all three answers are true or all three answers are false.
      I hope that helps!

    Thanks a lot Gmat Ninja ! I was really looking forward to this Data Insights series, just 1 question will we have an additional Multi source reasoning episode as well ?

    • @GMATNinjaTutoring
      @GMATNinjaTutoring  Рік тому +1

      Yup! We have two Multi-Source Reasoning videos in production right now. One is going through final edits, and will hopefully be published in the next few days; the other should be up within a week or two. A fresh Data Sufficiency video and a Data Insights strategy overview are coming soon, too.
      Have fun studying, and thank you for being the first to comment on this one!

    Where can I find more practice questions for table analysis? Or MSR?

    • @GMATNinjaTutoring
      @GMATNinjaTutoring  10 місяців тому +1

      Good question!
      The paper and e-book Official Guides (2023-2024) will have Data Sufficiency questions. However they will NOT have any Multi-source Reasoning or Table Analysis questions. For those you'll need to look at the online question banks.
      If you bought the eBook OG from mba.com already, you should be able to access an online question bank with MSR/TA questions. Other sources of MSR/TA questions include:
      1) The OG Data Insights Review Online Question Bank.
      2) Data Insights Official Practice Questions 1 and 2, Online Question Banks.
      3) The official practice tests (though I would absolutely save those for the end of your review process, when you're comfortable with the test as a whole, and ready to take full practice exams, to simulate the real test).
      I hope that helps!

      I recommend going through questions on GMAT club, there's so many and you can choose what difficulty level you want to solve as well.

    In the correlation question, the trend of self check unlimited lanes isn't consistently downward as we move up along the age. So is it still fair to call it a negative correlation?

    • @kalpeshmaldikar1515
      @kalpeshmaldikar1515 3 місяці тому

      Yes, there are some outliers like Store H, Store F and Store G.
      But in real-world data, it's common to have exceptions or outliers that do not follow the overall trend. Despite these exceptions, the general trend can still indicate a negative correlation if most data points align with the expected pattern.

    • @GMATNinjaTutoring
      @GMATNinjaTutoring  3 місяці тому +1

      Hi! @kalpeshmaldikar1515 has already given you a great answer (thank you!), but I'll add a couple of thoughts here.
      For correlation, it's more about the general trend than about looking at any particular point. If the number of self-check unlimited lanes TENDS to decrease as the average customer age increases then there is a negative correlation. It might be a weak correlation, but it will still be a negative correlation.
      For an example of this, check out the weak negative correlation graph in the link below. The entries in that graph do not all perfectly follow a downward direction as you read from left to right, but the general trend is downwards. That's enough for us to say the two datasets used to make this graph have a negative correlation.
      I hope that helps!

    what happens if we have lets say 2 answers correct in the first Question and 1 incorrect. is the whole question evaluated as partially correct or totally incorrect?
    also how much time to dedicate per question having 3 sub-questions as given in this video?

    • @GMATNinjaTutoring
      @GMATNinjaTutoring  4 місяці тому

      Sadly, the whole thing is marked as incorrect if you miss one of the three sub-questions.
      As far as timing goes: you have an average of 2 minutes and 15 seconds per question on the DI section, but we don't recommend treating that as a hard limit. Instead, evaluate each question EARLY in the process, before you spend too much time. If you think you have a good shot of solving the question in under 3 minutes, go ahead and solve it. If you don't have an efficient way to solve, mark that question, put in a random guess, and move on quickly.
      Thanks for the question, and let me know if that helps!

    Q1 Negative Correlation, shouldn’t it be false, ages 42.50 and 38.80 do not have a negative correlation (second question)

    what if you take this test in person and not on the computer? Will sorting questions not be on it?

    • @GMATNinjaTutoring
      @GMATNinjaTutoring  3 місяці тому

      The GMAT is a computer-adaptive test. You can take it at home on your own computer, or you can take it in a test center on somebody else's computer -- and the test is the same, regardless of where you take it. But there's no paper-based version of the GMAT anymore.
      I hope that helps a bit!
