The KT had a unique banjo sound that I’ve always loved. For some reason you don’t hear it played like that anywhere else. This was a good banjo song. Banjos are always happy.
Always good to hear some really and sincere wonderful music. Thanks KIngston Trio for so many, many wounderful songs that touched my heart so much as I rambled all over this world.
This recording is interesting because it shows the difference between a more polished studio song (in Stay Awhile/ Decca) and a live recording here, more soulful and moving. They seem more concerned here about the words. In the Stay awhile album they seem more concerned about the sound. Thanks for posting.
Thanks a lot for posting this - Although I played 'Stay Awhile' until it turned white, this is like hearing a new song. There is also a slightly faster version of 'Little Light' recorded live in 1962 that is interestingly different from that on the 'College Concert' album. Thanks again for posting this!
It sure is nice to hear different renditions of this good old Tom Paxton tune. Our group recorded it in our CD "Still Hangin' Around" Riverbend Folk Band. Ron Wilburne is the featured singer for our version.
This is a most sensitive song sung in a rich Baritone. Thank you Stan Rogers, I trust you're doing well where you are.

This isn't Stan Rogers
@@caitlinhanson8631, thanks. I don't know how this happened. Both Rogers and the Kingston Trio are favorites of mine. I wish you well.
Finally found the album that this great tune is on. Search over.
Never heard this cover of one of my favorite songs - Great!

I agree with you, Stephen!
- BanjoBob of the San Francisco Banjo Band!!
@@robertsmith1860 I believe he is "frailing". That's a real banjo style, though quite uncommon. Grandpa Jones used to play that way.
This Song Reminds Me of the People we meet in our lives! A Great Song! R.K.
How hasn't anyone resurrected this format of matching outfits & close harmonies... oh, did I mention really catchy tunes!?! Great stuff...
They were reely good, much more than we knew about!

This should be the theme song for all Americans today.
Always loved the KT, still do....

Rafa, you hit the bull's eye: timeless!
Where ever I will be there too!
Their song reminds me the great film "Nomad Land."

It hurts to see the pictures of them as old men.
At least they lasted pretty long! May we all...
Doing the best I could.
