Hi my name is Renee, a full time #vanlifer , working on my second year of vanlife living this lifestyle and wanted to be for years, a great deal of planning went into getting ready for it. With a lot of help along the way. Living a simple life with my cat Jake seemed a dream. The dream of this simple life and all my hopes that I have it all figured out. I don’t say this too loud as I still have much to figure out. We will give you a glimpse into van projects, nature, crafts, painting and so much more along this journey. I am always excited to learn a new skills. Showing you real life in its glory, the mistakes, the mishaps and adventures we plan to go on.
The Story Began Long Ago
I grew up in a small Alpine town of Revelstoke British Columbia, where I learned to appreciate the outdoors camping, hiking and camaraderie of that. Also spending over 12 years oversea working in humanitarian work has prepared me more than I can say. I am generally a creative soul who loves to express that in many forms, whether figuring life out for myself or helping someone along the way. These things drive me to live life as full as possible. Everyday is a chance to grow in some way. This human has much more to learn.
We live in a 2006 E-250 Ford extended box #van-conversion living space. This older van has over 360,000km on it. Still running strong.
Being a UA-cam creator does not come naturally for me but over time I soon will be good at it.
Please come along with me on our journey into the unknown, experiences I still have to learn.

When someone looks at a nicely made bed, we suddenly realize that we are tired and want to sleep. Your bed is beautiful Renee. I have never seen a trifold mattress before. Your art is lovely, it reminds me of very good days. Say hello to your grandson and Jake. I wish you well.

Can u separate the sections of the mattress to reconfigure them?
Yes you are able to do that it makes the mattress totally last longer.
I like the idea of a trifold. Went online and nearly all of them are memory foam. Is that what you have? My memory foam isn't practical, I don't want to sink in..I like medium firm.
This mattress is 5’ of medium firmness foam and 1’ memory foam. I thought the same thing. I do like to sleep on a firm bed but I have not run across one yet. Good thing about this is when it comes time to replace the mattress I can go to a foam shop and pick out a firmer foam and invert them into the cover. You also may be able to get a costume made mattress. It generally is hard to pick a mattress for a van that doesn’t weight a lot and take up tons of space. In the end you have to get what you need. Good luck in finding what you need.
@beyouvanlife I think it's the hardest thing to search for. I have one reg mattress, 8in memory, and a 8 inch firm foam..too firm 🙃. Luckily I have a room at my daughters and storage unit. I surly need to decide which I want and where. The regular mattress is going out for sure. Thanks for taking the time to answer. Be happy!!😊🙋♀️
Let me know what you find. I did have the hardest time deciding what to buy as well. Yes Cindy definitely try to get a tri fold it really is easier to make the bed. I hope you find what you are looking for. It is important to have a good sleep. Happy bed searching🚐🐝🐈⬛😊🇨🇦
