LYRICS
Is it me against myself?
I feel like someone else
Cause I can’t find my way back home and I don’t wanna do it alone
Is it me against myself?
And everybody else
Cause I can’t fix this on my own and I don’t wanna do it alone
Had a talk with myself
Try to smile and wish me well
Feel I’m a broken shell
Hard to lie when you’re overwhelmed
It still hurts when you’re numb
Every walk becomes a run
It’s gettin’ hard to hold on
When you come undone cause
Lately everything around keeps changing
I been thinking that maybe, maybe I’m to blame
Maybe we’re both the same
Is it me against myself?
I feel like someone else
Cause I can’t find my way back home and I don’t wanna do it alone
Is it me against myself?
And everybody else
Cause I can’t fix this on my own and I don’t wanna do it alone
Alone
Alone
No I don’t wanna do it alone
It’s hard to look back
When you have to face the facts the person that I was
Isn’t coming back cause

Excited to have this song out! Just a month until you get to hear the whole album!
So excited for this album. Want to see you guys live so damn bad!!!
Great song guys! Greetings from the Philippines! 🇵🇭🤘☠🎤🎸🎸🎸🔥🔥🔥
You guys are fucking amazing, your music is just beautiful and I'm glad I found your art, keep up the great work guys.
Just stop to turn into a pop band and this should be great (from a french fan)
Can't wait for Aug. 30th!!!
It's wild when it feels like bands are speaking directly to you.
^ everyone of their song feel like that! Lol
The Amity Affliction spoke to me in my teenage years and now Wage War speaks to me in my early twenties!
I like this song. Don't care who it may sound like. My daughter listens to pop, rap and some other stuff but not metal, she however likes this band and can listen to their music. It gives us something to have in common. And trust me....it is really hard to have something in common with your teenage daughter when you are an Iraqi War Vet Metal head who loves sports.
There are bans out there that's in between not too hard not too soft...WW is one of them
checkout 'I Prevail', might be able to find more common ground there :D stay blessed cheers
@@ryzorzen Sweet. Thanks and you too.
@@FirstLast-zv5od yeah I agree with Ryan check out I Prevail. Have a great day.
@@zanderj9335 Thanks man, you too.
We dont deserve 2 songs in one day but I'm not complaining
you never get what you deserve, you only get what you get :)
As someone who loves the heaviest, deepest, and evilest gutterals out there this shit just touches the soul
Yes sir
Some of the best cleans I've heard in metal. It's songs like these that make me so thankful I wasnt born deaf
Cody Quistad and Jesse Cash
@@JimmyDenCoole Oh 100% but don't forget Spencer Sotelo
Yeah, like this is metal :D Heard the album, I don't need pop-rock with Wage War...
@@Zombot012 lmao if you dont call this metal you don't know what metal is kiddo, it's quite literally the most extensive genre of music in existence
Fearless: So how many genres do you guys want on this record?
Wage War: Yes.
Ryan O'Connor seriously. Please don’t let this album be a disaster
disverity always makes the best albums in my opinion. Wage War is killing it!!
What? Everything has been metalcore so far lmao what other genres are you hearing?
@@SpicyTortilla69 other genres is probably an exaggeration. but they're definitely pushing the boundaries on their sound and it's amazing!
thats not really a good thing

Wage War kind of reminds me of I Prevail, and that's not a bad thing. Aside from the fact that they both have a screamer and a clean singer, they have a wide range of songs that are both heavy and intense, and songs like this one that are slower and more melodic, but all of their songs are meaningful in some way. That's what I appreciate the most about them. I'm so glad I discovered this band and I can't wait for this new album!
This song actually reminds me a little bit of Chaos from I Prevail's Lifelines album.
It's funny I was saying the two of them in concert would be so damn good.
Reminds me of hurricane and chaos a lot!
I say Beartooth
This album, Pressure reminds me a bit of the amity affliction. The choruses they create sound somewhat similar vocally like when they sing higher or lower.
Been battling a crippling drug addiction for going on 12 years.. this song speaks major volumes to me. It feels like the lyrics are telling the story of my life.. this band has helped me so much. I have 2 amazing children and a loving family and friends that need me around. I can see so much clearer than I used to. I feel so much closer to home than I used to. Thank you WW, for helping give me hope again❤
You doing ok, 3 years on?
This song is part of my healing journey, and I’m proud to be where I am today. I listened to this on all my bad days and in my worst moments, this song means everything to me. I love you Wage War!!!! ❤️🤟🏽
*Crying.* Lately I’ve been going through sh*t and you guys have helped me out so much. I’m no longer afraid of change because it’s natural. Thank you Wage War for being here for me.
Love the chorus! At first I was feeling “meh” but this is nice. Stands out from the other singles
Im still feeling like "meh" hope I will see what you can see soon
Same
A good track, diferent but its so powerfull, this album is gonna be beautiful
Prime example of Keep It Simple Stupid to full effect. Song might be generic as hell, but damn man, it hits home.
Wage War can literally do no wrong
I could never agree less. This is still better than most of the music these days. So let's all be grateful, man.
Cody's got one of the best clean vocals in the business. Glad ww released a track with him taking the lead. Great track!! Even more excited for the album now!!
Nah, there's way better.
Shane Blay is better.
He said "one of."
I did say "one of the best." and there are many I like but I value everyone's opinion....but personally I think Cody is soo good. seeing them couple months ago live, after 1hour on set, Cody was still hitting each note perfectly!!! Ww will only continue to grow in my opinion!!!
So good. I've been bouncing between Wage War and Iprevail lately. When it comes to the scream I'd lean more towards Iprevail though.
Anyone else think they were about to hear “If I fall again, will it be the end?” At the beginning?
MetalWitcher \m/ I DIDDDDD!!!!
Every fucking time dude lol I Specifically came to the comments of this song to see if someone had said this lol
When?
Warseeker.
Seriously though, I love when bands show range like this. I don't want the majority of the songs to sound like this, but sprinkled in it can be a great change of pace.
I found Wage War after some shit in my life that had occurred. And then I found more after I lost my son. And then even more when my 10 year relationship ended badly. This song, with others, helped me out so much. Thank you.
Hang in there
@@asaconner9206 thank you
How are you now?
This song touches my soul. The first time I heard it I cryed because it's just so relatable. I love you wage war, can't wait for the full album 🤘🖤
I love softer tracks, and this is absolutely no exception. This album is gonna be great.
Need this and Prison on Spotify like now so I can play endlessly on repeat.
Is there an unlisted video for Prison? What was it like for those of us who didn't hear it on the radio?
@@JlNKED my understanding is Prison is heavy, with a real great "BLEGH" in it. I haven't been able to find it literally anywhere online though, and waiting to listen to my favorite band is hard.
@@fromheartfeltplaces_4627 It just came up in my recommended for me 20 minutes ago 🤷
@@SickIncKamikaze yes, I hadn't checked out my Spotify and UA-cam after waking up today before making that comment, currently looping Prison so it can catch-up to the rest of the songs lol
Prison is honestly just okay. The downtuned open note breakdowns are getting old though.
sooooo good
i like your lows too, boy
This band is AMAZING. They have so many different styles that just sound so good!!
Anymore bands like this out there? I go through phases of music. Ill jam to certain music until i need change. This is exactly the bridge between what i was listening to, and what im listening to now.
Intro sounds veeeeery much like Beartooth - Disease. Still thinking about, where i know the rest from
:54 sounds a bit like a mellow NF song...
Sitoki Sounds kinda like unlost by The Maine in my opinion
Not really. Not really at all.
Only reason for that is because Caleb started most of the songs on the record with just him singing the chorus over a guitar or something.. not digging at him just pointing that out.
@@MichaelinTexas1 it's the exact same pattern mate.
I love how Wage War can do different types of songs. They do a great job at it. This song's vibes tho 🔥
Finally a good track for my Neck - thanks for the recovery track Wage War
So true...
how about we let wage war... be wage war? wherever that direction may take them
I love both their pop-punk side and metal side. These lyrics really resonate a lot of my mental health. Good job, Wage War! They tried and succeeded at staying true to their lyrics and keeping a great sound as well. :)
WHO HURT HIM!? THIS SONG IS SO BEAUTIFUL
ikr :'|
Every song I discover by Wage War always has an effect and it seems like I discover them when I’m going through a dark time and the songs describe how I feel and what I’m going through. Thank you for these amazing songs.
The scream of "I feel like someone else" sounds exactly like amity affliction and I love amity affliction.
Joel is a beast!
This fits perfect since I've been depressed these past months and can't seem to get out of it
This really hits home. Me and my fiance are in a very rough patch right now and have been for a year. We LOVE your music. But this describes our current situation so well, and i can't help but let you guys know. You're fucking incredible and inspiring.
I hope you guys worked things out. We all deserve happiness.
I absolutely love it! Every album needs a few of these songs thrown in to keep it exciting. It’s beautiful! God bless you guys!
In love with this. I'm SO excited for this album!!
This song is amazing me and my brother have been playing it on repeat
Wageartooth
This is so refreshing! I'm so happy they didn't put a random breakdown just for the sake of having one.
It's beeeen a FKIN YEAR!!!
LET'S GOOOOO!
Thank you guys for this album.
Already can‘t stop listening, I love you Wage War!🖤
Feeling some heavy Our Last Night vibes with this one
I don’t think Wage War are even capable of making a bad song!
YA I DIDNT THINK SO TIL NOW.....MY BAD
Prison
Y’all are entitled to your wrong opinions but ok
Talk about calling the kettle black.....but ok.....🖕
This shit is wild trash. Songs like "Indestructible" were solid.
Love the bass on the verses
Wage War is the best band. They showed up and shook the metal world up. Way to set bar at the top can't wait to hear more and see you guys live!
I love you so much, powerful message and love the heavy kicks. Y'all need to come to Have on a weekend.
People complain about this being generic but being balls to the walls isn't necessarily the most original idea either. You keep complaining about artists being generic and they'll work themselves into an early grave trying to appease you. It's their art.
It's funny cuz Oh Sleeper came out with a banger of an album. Unique and brutal. These guys sold out.
Occifer FigPucker people like you is why heavy music will never expand and become more popular than it is. You don’t want these bands to make the music they want.
If they already made money doing the music they started with, it is only smart business for them the make music that can actually be on mainstream radio. People that get mad when bands make music palpable to a bigger audience’s taste need to sit down and shut up.
This is an amazing song and shows growth as a band instead of being a stagnant entity.
I don't get your point. WW have been one of the most generic bands in this genre since forever and that hasn't changed with this album either. When someone points out that they are generic, then they do this because it's true and even die hard fans can't deny that.
@@barto4586 ikr? the point of liking wage war is because most of their singles are balls to the wall bangers that can you listen on repeat and not think much of it. The fact that they are trying to expand doesn't surprise me considering their first 2 albums were pretty much the same.
@@occiferfigpucker4840 Oh Sleeper is literally the most basic and generic metalcore you can do, but yeah, sure.
This may sound weird for a song like this. But, does this song make anyone else just feel something. Like, it just makes you look inside and realize how fucked up the world has made you, how cold you are you are to people... how much you push them away because you know you're fucked uo and can't explain to people they shouldn't get close because you're just gonna hurt them or worse... and it just... makes you cry.
If I could put in words this sums it up
This whole album really resonates with me.
I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH!!!! Its just one of those really relatable songs with a good beat and sound. If I ever see wage war live I hope they play this song, because I will be screaming along to every word. They've done amazing work, and I'm excited to see what they do in the future. and how much success they have with this album 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
I prefer their heavy songs but i still love this it's a breath of fresh air, a very welcomed one at that!
Beautiful song and amazing vocals as always.
I used to love this song. I listened to it a lot when I was with my ex and now it rips open old wounds and make me remember her. I still love this song but I can't listen to it the same way I used to
Whoever mixed this loves bass guitar
so god damn good. been on repeat since it dropped
I can't stop listening to this and who I am, simply amazing fellas ❤️
This track still SLAPS
I love this so much! WW always killin it
this is my favorite song now, i mean, i looved this wooaaah
We can't question ourselves all the time. At some point we have to draw the conclusion that something or someone else is at play. Let's remember crazy is diagnosing someone they judge but have no clue what that person goes through.
Now this hits me in the FEELS
Both songs are straight up tunes!
So f*king good one ! Every singles are TOP, the new album must be epic and album of the year 💪
No doubt !!!
TØP
recien encuentro esta banda y debo decir que me e hecho una maratón de sus canciones y debo decir que todas son espectaculares, geniales y enérgicas y esta es mi favorita, espero tener mas de ustedes, son unos grandes
This song was realised on my bithday)
Thanks WW, I love you
Absolutely love this
Such a good song
Wage War just never dissapoints! Can't wait to see these guys live in January!
He has an amazing voice very talented
When you're fighting shit in your life you got a hold on to what you believe cuz I've been going through rough patches in my life and I've been holding this world can shake you to your core
Awesome song guys!!! Cant wait to see you guys in St Louis at the Firebird in October...
You guys never disappoint, ....ever!
Love all your sounds....new and old.
Thank you!
I normally hate when bands do this, but it is still so clearly and undeniably Wage War and they really didn't lose much of their unique sound at all.
Currently having bro talks with the homie while playing this through his aux.
Vibes.
Love this so much! They changed it up while staying true to themselves. Proud of you boys🖤💙🤘.
Love this
Música top! Brazilian Guy!!
Incrível estava ouvindo wage war e vcs publicaram e automaticamente cai nesta nova canção!! Nota mil!! Wage war is incrible
Amazing song
YES !!!
This song is awesome!
This song is amazing me 🧡 I love this song
On repeat. 🎧
It's always me against myself... Awesome song
My favirote band
Love this song!!! I really understand it.
Loving this new State Champs song
Love new music and the album cover
Oooh, that’s the song, that stands out! I like it
I was expecting a lot more screaming on this track just from the title. I’m very surprised and impressed. 👌🤘
Sounds like BEARTOOTH'S Disease. Am I the only one who thinks that all metalcore bands go through the same stages at once.
i thought so too.
Sounds so much like Disease!
luckily not Carnifex
Love this song, I can relate...
Wage War can do no wrong
Best song yet!
I like it, even if's not "typical metalcore". As long as they don't go into pop/hip hop, I'm fine with songs like this :) and even had some sick screams!
Basically a new Gravity !!! I dig it 👌
Amazing
I love that Wage War is doing something different from their usual style, but I really hope that there's a brutal no-clean singing track like Stitch or The River on the album
Amazing as always. Different but in a great way. Can’t wait listening to the complete album 🔥🖤
