It's not always a matter of being strong, it's knowing the way. At 51 I've survived quite well considering my trauma began with abduction and attempted murder when I was 3 . 😢
I remember my first boyfriend and he would blame me for things I didn't understand, so he would walk away and take his anger on me. I was just being a teenager and having some fun. There are times I needed his help but he would be irritated or angry so I just shut up and do it myself back in school. Then 5 years later of being together he cheated on me because I was focusing on myself with school. I still remember he showed up wrapped his arm around her shoulder who was also my friend and kissed her in front of me. That broke me deep. I'm 23 now and love is scary but the memories we shared is what kept us going
I've been there. Get therapy. It will change your life. Also, I fully believe teenagers should not be having serious relationships. Our brains are not fully developed until age 25. We should not be forming these tight bonds with anyone but ourselves. We need to learn who we are before getting into serious relationships.

My ex tried to pull some abusive BS with me and I told him “Someone is gonna die today MF’r, either it’s gonna be you or me and I already got right with Jesus so I suggest you do too cause it’s gonna go down right now”! It got rough but he never touched me again. Needless to say it was over after that.

I always wonder how the actor feels after the scene is over? If there was a role and I was offended to try a reading or to get the part as the abuser I wouldn’t want to do it. If I was financially secured and offered roles in other work I wouldn’t do it, it would be a pass for me. But if I owed a lot in taxes had to keep the lights on and had to pay my publicist to get the part then I’d do it cause I had to.
