Dooleys was a legendary pop band for most Koreans who were born from the 60s to 70s in South Korea, and I'm one of them. This amazing UK band's popularity was almost close to the world-famous pop group ABBA in South Korea at the time, and they visited Korea a couple of times. And a long time passed...South Korea's broadcasting company made their short TV program...and that was so shocking to most Korean fans. They've been struggling financially at the time because they spent lots of money to try their international concert included the concert in Korea. And some of them died of incurable diseases, it was so sad news for their fandom in Korea. As time goes by, their glorious life and fame were all gone and even their members passed away..but I'm still loving them.
No problem - Dooleys are quite popular on youtube. Someone on another youtube upload of this performance of love patrol was asking about the second performance which is of "Wanted".
Crikey those outfits are a long way from the satin trouser days 😱😬. Really interesting to see a “live” recording, my friend who works in tv says it’s 5 minutes recording and 5 hours of faffing, not far wrong I reckon! 👍
The Dooleys becoming just Jim and Kathy from the original line up, joined by the lovely Vicki Rowe and various musicians. Brothers Frank and John along with Drummer Alan Bogan (featured in this video) left in the mid 80s and formed The New Dooleys with two glamourous female singers. Sister Anne got married to the groups Bass Guitarist Bob Walsh, they left the group shortly after the birth of their first child. Keyboard playing sister Helen, the baby of the family, also left the group at that point. The 3 of them relocated to South Africa where they have performed under the name Shiraz. Early in the 90s Jim became ill and called it a day. Kathy continued for a few years as a solo act.

Hi Gareth, thanks for your comment - What particular sketch? I don't have many tapes left but I can have a look if you know the performer. Most of my uploads are my own TV recordings but a few people have also given me stuff which I go through for anything of historical interest.

The original sister was Anne, she left when she started her family. She is married to Bob Walsh who joined as Bass Guitarist in the early 70s. They relocated to South Africa and raised 3 children (1 boy and 2 girls)

The guitarists are brothers Frank and John. Frank did usually wear glasses.
