I think the 'decay' knob makes its sounds like its 'echoing' since it repeats the oscilator cycle, but its not an echo in the sense a tape echo is. You can see in the demonstration that it doesent sound like its echoing till the player turns up the decay. then the rate knob controls the rate of that pulse.
