  • Members of the public filled the streets in Aberdeen and Dundee today to pay their respects as the Queen's cortege passed by.
THE Queen has today begun her final journey after her coffin was taken from her beloved Balmoral ahead of her state funeral.
Well-wishers who had waited patiently for the opportunity to pay their respects bowed their heads while others saluted as the hearse drove slowly by in Ballater.
At 10am, six Balmoral gamekeepers lifted the Queen into a hearse ready for the six-hour journey to Edinburgh.
Draped with the Royal Standard of Scotland, the coffin was earlier moved to the Small Dining Room where a prayer was said by the minister of Crathie Kirk church.

How I mourn the Queen. Now you have an effete toddler as King. God help you.

Why would you stand at the Duthie park waving a Union flag? Elizabeth II is a direct descendant of Robert the Bruce. Some people.
