Miguel tried to rob Ghost but Tommy and Julio caught him. Robbery gone wrong. Effie was planted by Mecca to keep an eye on Tariq. Mecca was collecting dirt on Ghost and Tommy to give to the feds. When they broke Lobos free it messed up his plan so thats why Blanca made him go into hiding until they found Lobos. Mecca was Effie’s plug so when Blanca sent him away thats why she told Tariq she hasn’t heard from her connect in a while. It also answers why in season 1 of Book 2 she was always nervous being around Cane. She knew Cane was getting mentored by Mecca and she was scared her ties to Mecca would be exposed by Cane.

What is possible Lauren finds out Effie is the reason why her brother and Effie had connection hooked up with her as her plug and former lover and it’s possible Lauren Brother killed Effie brother for one reason finding out who Effie really is and finding out Effie can’t be trusted and setting him up the whole time with Effie’s brother and using him he had no choice to break up with her setting her up and killed her brother

I have another theory for you I believe if the Brayden character was introduced in season 4 or 5 of OG power ghost would still be alive (if he already isn’t lol) Brayden would have changed Tariq mind or maybe ghost would have Brayden talk to Tariq about killing him what if Brayden was hip enough about Tariq plan to kill ghost and he stopped him
