Those where bi-lingual signs in Finland. The languages are Finnish and Sami. The sami language is spoken in the northern parts of Norway, Sweden and Finland as well as North-western Russia by the Sami people. They, much like the Kurds of the middle east, Don’t have a country to call home but they have there own culture, language, flag and people. The language is from the same language branch as Finnish and Estonian. Bi-lingual signs can also be found on the Finnish coastline, but then the languages are Finnish and Swedish instead.
The Finnish signs were actually a combination of finnish and sami, which is a language (family) spoken in finnish, norwegian, swedish and russian lappland Edit: added sweden to the list
In Finland, we usually have at least two languages in signs: Finnish and Swedish are most common, but there's sometimes Russian, English and Sami languages also. Sometimes there's not even Finnish, it's just Swedish
Russian? Never seen Russian (or English) in Finnish signs, but I guess they could have some Russian text on them somewhere close to Lappeenranta. North Karelia doesn't have any, even though we're close to Russia.
@@6891x Yes, there are a bunch of russian signs close to Lappeenranta and areas near the border crossing. The languages on the signs tend to change to just Finnish fairly quickly the further from the border one gets. Swedish signs also start close to primarily Finnish-Swedish speaking cities (like Vaasa) but drop out very quickly. English is mostly seen near airports, at least I haven't seen many english signs outside of those. Pretty much all signs have Sami in them when one gets north enough. Close to northern swedish border I've seen signs with swedish, sami and finnish.
welcome to Uusimaa, where everything is in finnish and swedish, even though the swedish-speaking population is regional at best (only certain municipalities) and minuscule most commonly.
In addition to finnish having sami language signs up north you have to remember that swedish is also an official language in finland. So anywhere near the western coast most signs are in both finnish and swedish. That's actually an easy way to tell if you're in sweden or finland since in sweden they only have swedish signs. Also in finnish they have ä, ö and å but å is only used in the swedish names.
Never thought I'd hear people talking about my hometown with NL. This winter it got into the lower 30s a few times in Pensacola, but would really only stay that way for the first half or so of the day.
I'm around NL's age and have been hit with the knee hammer a few times, but I do have neurological stuff going on so he's probably right that that's a factor. I also don't have the reflex in one of my knees but apparently that doesn't signify anything.
was watching this to fall asleep when i heard sinvicta say “pensacola” and shot straight up. as a pcola resident, it is usually warm, but when it dips below 40 F people here are lil babies

You'll find such signs in northern Sweden as well.

DAFUK THAT SCOTISH HIGHLANDS GUESS!?1?1
the truck said campbell, so not that strange a guess.
@@badcatbad I don't think that everyone knows campbell relates to scotland, I sure as hell didn't. it was still a crazy guess
I mean if you've ever been there it was very obvious, first nowhere else on earth looks like that, and then cattle grids are EVERYWHERE in Scotland
i'm Scottish and I agree
@@ArkhBaegor Switzerland looks a lot like that guess, imo
it became a tradition for them to mess up the codes and be on different maps for the first guess by now

I saw that 27 minute run time and knew something was gonna go horribly wrong.
Finnish signs will often be in finnish and swedish in the west/south, and finnish and sami in the very north

he's done it, again
could it be finnish and sami (lappish) on one sign?
It is. In Lapland traffic signs are in Sami too.
@northernlion: In theory, you could find signs in Northern Finland that have Finnish (Suomi) and Lappi (the language spoken by the people of Lapland).
5:12 - That face is why every single one of us spent $100 for this content.
I learned a lot there at the end.
I was the 400th like. Always makes me happy to turn the counter to a nice round number.
Surprised Sinvicta doesn't tout Bill Hicks with Carlin and Izzard. Had Hicks lived, I'm sure he'd continue to be one of the greats.
The game is about to start
How did you guys start out in different countries? I still am totally confused as to how Northernlion played on extra seed.
They should do a version with only sucky camera or no sign areas
