I don't see a messy/lazy garden, I see overwinter habitat for insects. I see seeds stratifying. I see spring mud mats in the form of those stems & stalks.
Take it from an old man - Definitely, embrace the chaos of the shoes n coats.
We never had a mud room either and we had 14 kiddos so I can relate to chaos & clutter. Yes, embrace it. It won’t be there forever ❤
You and your mom have sparked me and my own family to start learning homesteading way more seriously. I found you last year..and I remember the last video from this tunnel and how close to defeat you felt then. Thanks for your knowledge and your vulnerability, both are excellent teachers. Cheers form Illinois.
I wondered why I never saw your stuff anymore and good old YT took you off as a friend.
Yt does that sometimes 😞
I know you have honeybees and so do I but recently I saw a few videos on people who buy a small box of bumblebees to pollinate their high tunnels or indoor greenhouses. Just thought I’d pass that along. I hear that they are excellent for pollinating tomato plants and other veggies.
Thank you for sharing ✌️💞🤟
Thank you for getting me into Herbalism! :) All the best to you and your family GBu
you all rock, good work
Thank ya!!
Makes me want to start plants now.
Don't worry about the chaos...it comes back with little one. ❤
💛💛💛
So glad to catch a video. I love how you teach and make it fun to learn. Hope all is well and hope to see mom and Grandma soon. Blessings….
Ha... you can get grants for those in most states... its called the HoopHouse Initiative... ask your local usda office in each state... they will give you one at, no cost, up front to extend grow season
I started so many perennial herbs last year in the garden that I’m looking forward to seeing where they threw seeds/roots for 2024 gardening. Chamomile wasn’t the hardiest so I’ll start more from seed, but I plan to put many young starts in Greenstalks again because they really thrived by planting out time in August.
I can’t wait as well!!!
Thanks for letting me know that she is well, let her know I miss her. Funny how our perspective changes about the clutter at the front door and other places in our homes as our children grow and are getting close to exit and grow their own spaces. Excited to see the high tunnel make over. You make me smile. Thank you for being you❤. Always in my prayers. Roel
I grew Hyssop this past year. Plant is still booming and green and growing. Zone 9A, (formerly 8B). What do you use it for besides a culinary herb? And everybody has a bad year. I've had a few, (I'm a little older than you - I'm 64). You just got to suck it up and go for it. Next season will be better. Now go clean that stuff up. And as for the High tunnel - If you are going to rip everything up, then til the crap out of it. Maybe you can get rid of the horn worm infestation that way. Just a thought.
I need to do a video on hyssop 💛 it is a fun herb for colds and flu!
I really want to see you do aquaponics in this greenhouse! There's so much good information on UA-cam that you can amalgamate it and make some awesome videos! Great work as always!❤
Thanks for sharing!!!!
Love what you bring to us Kaylee. Just starting out on herbal benefits with growing and saving along with teas and made first fire cider last month. I read that with my hypothyroidism that I should Not use lemonbalm, which I am.upset about because I love the taste and smell of. Can you please offer me some insight about this and perhaps a replacement of lemon balm, if this is in fact a true concern? Thank you for bringing us knowledge through your honeystead channel. Love getting my hands dirty and learning something old🌻
I love your style
You are my inspiration! So looking forward to the new year as well. Here in Maine we start a little later than you. The table is full of seed packets and the catalog has been marked for the herbs still need to get. Too excited to sleep!! Love and hug
Love the how to content.
I just signed up for the Seeds & Herbs workshop in March. Can't wait. Thank you so much..
Ohhhh yay!!!!
You’re doing amazing. You’ve taught me so much and omg can I not wait to try those gin raisins.
They are soooo good!!!!
Don't for get about the bug zapper for the hoop house/ high tunnel. No moths = no horn warms.. have a good one. Take care. ✌️👍
Ja pszczółki, jeszcze śpią?
Latają😁, moje jeszcze śpią mamy teraz w Polsce -15 stopni Celsjusza
I hope you will consider recording some of your hands-on on workshops for those of us who live too far away to join you in person.
Messy gardener here as well, but look at all those seeds ❤ hope I can make a workshop
💛 we need a messy garden club!!!
Puppies are so much Joy.😁
Kaylee, welcome to 2024👋first question I have is hows the family doing? I haven't seen mom or grams for a while. Second question how are the girls(bees)doing? Oh I need me a green house. Blessed Days...
💚
So sad you are 10 hours away from me. Great full for the home apothecary course, though!
Love you Kalie!!! I hae 155 acres to take car of.
Will you not cover crop the soil area in the high tunnel?
Yes. Please embrace it. My kids are grown and gone. What I wouldn’t give for all those snow clothes again…..
🥹 it will be a bittersweet day that they are off on their own… but I am excited for them to grow and go, because then I know we did our jobs💛💛💛
Hi! At the end of your video behind you. Is that rose hip? If so do you harvest it?
Hi Ladies, I follow you & I'm a newbie, for about a year. I've got a younger brother with Hemochromatosis, our Grandfather had this. Do you know anything about this disease?
He has slot of aches & pains , However he is very fit as he does work out. Just wondering if you would know anything that would help him? We are all into sustainable living etc. Huge gardens pick your own blueberry farm on & on. We all live in Northern Minnesota.
Thank you, Terri
😂 don’t forget your pile of cups!! Hey I was wondering if since I’m actually moving this season that it would be ok if I dug up my garlic and lemon balm and lavender to take it with me, while it was still dormant?
Absolutely!!!!!
@@TheHoneystead awesome!! Thank you!!
What is the website I can’t seem to find it? Super into herbalism since I was a baby thanks to my momma and would love to come to workshop ❤️

Hello,
I have several Praying Mantis Cocoons that I'd Love to mail to you before it comes time for them to hatch...
They would work wonders in your high tunnel keeping the bugs down, or totally gone...
I'd be Happy to mail them free of charge to you if you'd like me to send you a couple of them.. Just let me know. I have a few other UA-camrs that have said that they'd like to have a few of them so Please let me know one way or another... Thank You........Adele Hayes 1/9/24
Does anyone know why we no longer see her mom any longer??
My mom is well, but we both wear many hats and time is limited. I also am a believer that it is 100% ok to put the camera down at times:)
Have you heard of Kill um juice
Yes, you don't miss it until its gone,
Where is your Mom? I love your sh
She wears many hats and has not much free time lately so sometimes it’s best to put the camera down 💛
@@TheHoneystead thank you. You 2 make a great team. I have missed her. Prayers for continued success. Keep spreading the gardening news.love to you and your family.
We have reptiles. The hornworms intended for food don't eat tomato plants. The worms that do eat tomatoes are toxic and can kill the reptile. I'm sorry, not meaning to be a downer.
Maybe you`re trying to do to much ?
I did have a full plate over the summer!
