honestly the -easy- way to beat the level is cape your way to the end of the first part, steal a clown car, and ride all the way back to the troll pipes at the start of the stage at the top in order to skip to the end
+Dooleh I don't actually mind that, it's pretty clever -- if you haven't even taken a wrong pipe before, you probably won't realize they're there until after you've been spit out the wrong end. They might well be the closest thing the game has to checkpoints, in that sense. I just...you guys made this level work somehow. That blows my mind completely.
I disagree mainly because it can take a while to get the magikoopas to destroy enough bricks to make it easy to pass the wall, and you still risk taking damage from their projectiles. The clown car just lets you fly over all the obstacles.
I've seen Drew a million times and every single time he looks different than I think he should look. Not significantly different, but I always picture him exactly like Steve Zahn and he's not quite that and it always weirds me out. Anyway, Super Mario Maker looks amazing.

I'd probably have a dozen derp moments like Drew had about the hand on the game screen if I were doing videos like this (unless that was Dan's flub and Drew was too taken aback by him thinking he was serious to let out more than an "oh"). Let's preferably not.
Nintendo has been pretty good about making significant updates to their games recently. I wonder if they'll be able to add any more features you can add to these levels at a later date through an update.

+Mario of “Guardian” Seven Stars I don't hate it, but overall I like the SMB3 and SMW themes better. I feel like a part of it is how over used the "New" SMB theme has been used in games recently. There was ONE awesome SMW game... we've had what, 5 games in the NSMB theme? It's just lost it's charm in a way. It's still good overall though.
+Mario of “Guardian” Seven Stars Probably because of the more realistic movement. All the inertia they give to the player character makes it sluggish and unresponsive in a way that people who are accustomed to old Mario understandably tend not be excited about.
They grew up with old Mario so its what they care about more. I don't think they don't like the New ones, they just don't have the same reverence for them.

I really like hearing the game say the names of things pitched to the music.
It's a really nice little touch. I think half of the file size is nice little touches. Easter eggs absolutely everywhere. So good.

It took almost 40 minutes to get a Giant Bomb into a Giant Bomb level but this was so much fun!
This was a ton of fun to watch. so many unintentionally great moments happened because of the chat suggestions.
That feel when the Magikoopa magic turns the finish cage blocks into random things, so a small Mario can easily slip in and skip the sub world.

not a bad level very frustrating at first but I found a way around. giant wizard attacks break the blocks around the finish
