That is the best explanation of this particular thought that I have ever heard laid out. Some of the paths that you and I take to get where we’re going with the horse are sometimes a little different, that is mostly because we are heading to two different end destinations with the horses. But the heart and philosophies are the same. I really like what you do, and the heart and thought behind the way you do it. Many thanks, brother.

@@HorsemanshipAsAnArt I'd call that high praise from Dewayne, who I consider a wise man. You got me thinking about my "Pony boy" horses. It's a good feeling when someone tells you a horse of yours helped them in their life.

As you have said, good training is the very best life insurance you can give a horse!

Well done and said. As a breeder of traditional Shetlands for many years, the most important qualities we bred for and insisted upon were quality, sense, kindness and versatility. So that when they ran out of kids, mom or pop could drive them or show them in hand and in obstacle classes or have them be babysitters for the weanlings.

Excellent philosophy on pony boy raising the kids, the side effects of having him, being discipline and responsibility in caring for and advancing him him in his training, in a way pony boy is mentoring these youngsters. That is why I think 4-H and FFA project animals are so beneficial for youth, even town kids. Enjoyed your first book, looking forward to the second!

Look up a quote from Australian horseman Tom Robert’s, it pertains to what you are saying, train a horse well and he will always have a home. You put out great content, thanks.

Raise your children, dogs and horses to be good. If something happens to you, people will want them. You don't want them to go to foster care, the shelter or an auction. ❤️
