Thanks again for coming down to visit the shop Chris, it was a pleasure to finally meet you and talk puzzles and magic. And thanks for the great video tour of the shop!
Would be cool if you would have your entire house done like that. You've got a week to figure out how to open the fridge in order to get food to survive. :)
Just conjuring up the image of someone desperate to use the loo, frantically searching the bathroom for the means to lift the toilet lid, then once successful reaching for the loo roll to only find it locked in a perspex box.
There is such a delicate balance between "very very challenging but satisfying" puzzles and "needlessly hard/confusing/impossible" puzzles. Designing puzzles while not overstepping that line is an art in and of itself. Craig and his team are incredible craftsmen and artists who understand that delicate balance better than anyone else in the world! Incredible!
The rooooom. I downloaded the 1st “the room” game shortly after it came out, and it is solely what has gotten me into things like puzzle boxes and escape rooms.
I know I'm 2 years late lol but I couldn't agree more!! I have played all of The Room games except the VR PS4 version.... Now I think I have played every game in the Google play store that is similar to it... Sad... I need more!!
It's pretty awesome to see how you were acting while in this amazing puzzle building shop. I felt like I was watching a kid at Walt Disney World for the first time you can honestly tell that you are in love with puzzles and magic in general. I am so glad you are one of the most prolific if not the best puzzle solver or reviewer on UA-cam cuz you are so darn entertaining and you're such a nice guy.
200 steps!! Oh man. I would love a desk like that. Keep priceless items inside that you pass down the desk to your kids and then down to there kids and so forth... really cool. Talk about craftsmanship. Could see it in your eyes Chris.....you’re getting him to make a desk for you right? You can’t help it...it’s going to happen lol
Chris: "I want my house to be like this" > random stranger "can I visit you?" Chris: "sure, GL finding and opening the front door, you dont need a key"
As a long time woodworker, that Puzzle Desk is totally freaking insane & off the charts amazing! Thanks for the tour Chris & I also can't wait to see it when he gets it done. To bad that we won't get to see how to solve the Puzzle part of it...............
Craig, that puzzle bureau is awesome, I used to make single puzzle miniature in the guise of pagodas and I made my son's bed with a few hidden compartments and crawl ways. I look at your work and you are levels ahead. I am a Mechanical Engineer in the power transmission sector. We make large and small gearboxes and pumps as well as precision gears, so I can really appreciate your mechanisms. Chris, we all love your work and your dedication to entertain us, hopefully one day you'll get the chance to solve the beautiful desk puzzle.
This is the coolest warehouse ever! Can you imagine having furniture that’s tricked out like this throughout a person’s home? No burglar would find anything
You better get yourself a desk like this to solve this is truly a magnificent masterpiece! I am bad at puzzles but I love watching you solve them and this one, even if it would be a video of 2+ hours, is something I would watch entirely.
OMG I LOVE THE ROOM! I have all four games, solved but I replay them. I got all the alternate endings too. I love puzzle boxes. The desk in the seance scene is a joy, also the other one in the dollhouse.
Got my V3 playing cards in the post yesterday and omg I LOVE THEM!! Absolutely beautiful design and soooo smooth to use. Will keep for collectors obviously because it’s precious so I thank you so much for these Chris! ❤️
I like this puzzle very much... I also like my "1st" cards which were delivered this morning, now safely locked in my puzzle box... Greeting from the UK @Chris Ramsey
Aaaahhhh, you’ve already discovered the game “The Room.” 💜 Being a fan of that, and I chanced upon your channel, my wish came true! I was wishing I could see stuff like in The Room, in real life! :)
I started turning pens and bowls on a wood lathe, back in April. I like watching you solve puzzles, but I really like this behind the scenes video. I hope to see you do more like this.
I like how Chris brings up "The Room" within the first 3 minutes and that's where my head went when i was the intro. Amazing game/series played each multiple times and its awesome to see that someone is bringing something similar to what you would find in the game to reality, even if the designer hasn't played.
Stuff like this is just cool and priceless. I wish I got into wood working. Where I made more than just a wooden lamp in elementary woodshop class, or the gun rack in highschool. Absolutely cool puzzles here man.
As I've been watching your puzzle videos I pass this one often (dk why I haven't watched it yet) and always think it's a piano. Amazing beautiful piece!
The desk already is a work of art and it’s not even completed! Whoever gets this puzzle is one lucky person! This is the type of furniture that will become an heirloom. I would make it so you can only earn the desk if you can solve it!
I can't believe it!!!! I had a dream about this desk. A cross between that national treasure desk, goonies, with a 200 sun Japanese puzzle box! I wish I had the money to have something like this.
Love it, i think this was a great move on your part chris. We all want to see this shit. Ive been watching you for about 6 months and im hooked. Keep it the Magik
The actual attention to detail here is just other worldly... currently eyeing up my dad's ships captain's desk and seeing if I can make it into a puzzle desk. 😄
Thanks for this video Chris ! I’m one of those who want to make woodworking my magic world 😊 (I am also happy to see that you can nail the art of woodworking AND keep all your fingers)
hey chris, 4 things, 1: are you planning on doing more deck reviews? 2: how did you get so epic? 3: who is your main inspiration for magic? and 4: could you make a playlist for all the music you use?
Chris, found your channel recently. Liked and subscribed. I noticed in one video you were at Pilot Coffee Roasters (one of the coffees I drink often served at a shop near me in San Diego). Then I noticed in this video you had a James Coffee shirt from San Diego (another shop I frequent). If you're ever in the area again let me know and I'll show you some other great coffee we have here!
I cannot find the right word to describe that's unique piece of furniture, maybe the eighth wonder of the world, Leonard Da Vinci will be proud of you.
Ive been thinking someone needed to make the stuff from "The Room 1-3" but in real life, and when i saw this my reaction was literally "holy shit they did it" and then you mentioned "The Room" I knew you read my mind!
Very cool. I'm going to a house tomorrow that has one of the actual old puzzle desks. Blew my mind when I twisted something (thought I broke it), but found out that it unlocked something near the back. I then decided to spend the rest of that Christmas day solving a desk. Lmao.
That is pretty insane, I probably go crazy trying to figure everything out and get agitated but it looks so awesome pretty cool, looks like a lot of hard work goes into these epic puzzles
Thanks again for coming down to visit the shop Chris, it was a pleasure to finally meet you and talk puzzles and magic. And thanks for the great video tour of the shop!
That desk is amazing!! Nice work man, seriously! Wow. So cool.
Danny Dunwell 😂😂😂
Craig Thibodeau amazing work man!
Would you ever consider building an entire house into a puzzle with secret corridors and stuff?
SwiftyStickGamer that’d be insane
I'm surprised Chris didn't try to spin that desk.
😂
I thought that was MrPuzzle that did that as a first resort!
Psssh haha I just pictured that and it was upside down.
Lol
Or bang it on his table.

Just conjuring up the image of someone desperate to use the loo, frantically searching the bathroom for the means to lift the toilet lid, then once successful reaching for the loo roll to only find it locked in a perspex box.
I think I need to put my pants in the laundry after figuring that out but I guess that is another 50 steps.

I feel like this should be for Nicholas Cage, because of the presidents desk in National Treasure

I have time to build another one.
Chris: Seriously considering how much everything he owns could be liquidated to afford it.

So THAT'S why there's so many puzzles in Resident Evil houses. It all makes sense now.
