What I find refreshing is that Shawn takes full responsibility for what he did, for his choices, and his drug issues. He doesn't blame anyone else or anything else. Nothing but respect for him. Glad I got to enjoy his entire WWF/E career from beginning to end.

I'm amazed how this man wrestled with other Tough & mean spirited wrestlers from WWE ! And he is a born-again Christian ! I just pray he will certainly be a good Follower of Christ!? I'm not religious and I don't get into the whole God and Jesus stuff, I'm a wrestling fan, but I'm so glad and happy Shawn got his act together and if finding God and being saved from drug addiction helped Shawn become a better and clean person then terrific, I couldn't stand it if Shawn had died from drugs or other bad stuff, good on you Shawn.

My respect for HBK has escalated to an epitome of unscalable heights. Inarguably one of the greatest entertainers and yet one of the humblest humans that ever walked on land.
He use to be the exact opposite. It is truly a testament to the Power of the Love of CHRIST.
I have been watching WWF/WWE since I was 4 years old.I have seen just about everything there is to see but let me tell you this much..It is not easy to reform yourself from ANY addiction especially when you make the kind of money like Shawn makes.He made the right choices and God gave him what he needed to live through it.God Bless..xo
Shawn was going down the road of fame and money and all the ego type stuff that went with that for a long time. Apparently he realized he just wasn't happy and changed his ways. I loved his wrestling career, was the best times for wrestling, but hats off to him for finding what makes him happy and gives him peace.

I've been silent about this for YEARS and it's time i spoke my mind on what's bothering me. in December 2010 i saw a shoot interview with Shane Helms (Hurricane) and he started talking SO much stuff about Shawn Michaels and that his faith is a "work" (aka scripted) It was NEVER scripted, He truly is a man of the Lord Jesus Christ. He became a born again Christian on April 24th 2002. What you're seeing in this interview is REALLY him. God bless this man
100 percent an addict, but im really really genuinely happy that his journey with drugs and alcohol was able to end so easily, i hope his story is as inspiring for others as it was for me. What a humble man
I had a spinal fusion and when I see what Shawn did in that ring after being fused gives me hope that I can do anything I want and still be ok. Obviously, I would not want to wrestle but the simple things like skiing and boxing. I remember meeting him after his first match back and I asked him how does his back feel and he said it feels like I have been hit by a truck and then ran over. I know that his back was killing when he wrestled, but he did a great job wrestling for 8 years after the fusion.

Shawn Michael s is one of my favorite favorite wrestler's. He is Mr. Wrestlemania. He is the best! I loved watching him wrestle. From the time he was a Rocket until he went solo! Absolute BEST!

I had no idea on his massive struggles from virtually the beginning. But many things make even more sense now. Art imitating life was really the easy storytelling for WWF story-writers.
I'm so happy for him I literally cried. God already blessed him in showers - his wholesome career was perfection! A thousand by his side struggled while he rose and rose and rose and rose. Even the Bad Karma Back-Injury retiring him early at 32 just climbing to the top was actually Good Karma! Finally settling and finding himself!

I was fortunate enough to see he went to a ComicCon a couple years ago. I traveled almost 2hrs each way, paid a couple hundred dollars (between tickets, photo op & autograph) and it was worth every second & every penny. He's become such a reformed man & with him being my favourite, that fills me with such great joy.
Met him at wrestle mania 12 after party as a kid.

I never met him... was way to young... and then lost interest growing adult until recently. I lost my smile basically on these hard times. No drugs ever involved. I only hear ppl turning around from drugs... but life is tough as itis drowning you. I turn to may happiest childhood escapism.
@@BEEyonced my dad knew some one behind the scenes. The after party was a buffet type vibe. The million dollar man didn't party so he took me around meeting almost every one. Bret and taker didn't show. It was amazing. Shawn had a group on women on his lap and had them get off to take a photo with me. Times do get tough trust god ! I know what you mean things hurt and take away your smile ..... We have to fight to win ! Wish you the best

I was always a wrestling super fan and Shawn was my favorite wrestler. Then I got saved in 1998. When Shawn returned in 2002, I was literally jumping and screaming in my living room. So, Imagine how overjoyed I was when I went online and found his first interview for WWE after returning and he's talking about accepting Jesus Christ in his heart and being a born again Christian and having overcome his drug habits and all. That became one of my happiest moment involving wrestling.

I think I kind of know what Shawn alluded to, god came to my life without a major tragedy, he just came all of a sudden (and I was as anti-religion as you could get)and I went to church on a Sunday, went to bible study and that was it....I still have challenges in my life but with god's help I carry on and I feel I'm not alone

he probably still takes pill for the pain, but just as prescribed.. that wouldn't be considered abusing the drug

+TVC That probably played a large part in him retiring in 2010. The human body can only take so much.
I knew about all of the injury stuff, but I was surprised to hear him talk about his now-limited mobility and probable need for replacements in the (near?) future. I have such tremendous respect for Shawn though. He's such a phenomenal person, athlete, and example of genuine Christianity.

God will help you man. All you gotta do is seek Him with all you have and truly believe that He will help you. Jesus said in John chapter 6 that any who come to Him will not be denied or turned away.
"For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day." - John 6:40
God sees that you're hurting and that you have a desire for Him, and He'll reward that kind of behavior. But you have to cast aside all things of the world and seek Him. One of the ways is by reading His Word, the Bible. The book of Romans says that nothing can come between us and God's love.
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."-Romans 8:37-39

+johanzo88 It's all about praying and being earnest in your prayers. God doesn't always answer when you think he will but he will answer in His own time. The main thing is to be sincere and to have faith, otherwise it's a waste of time.
