For people wondering about things missing, let me quote someone from a different video: Many participants of the tech alpha don't seem to get what the point of it all is. It's about the systems and services in the backend as stated by Asobo before AND after the alpha started. This version is stripped down to the bare minimum for that. It is not for you to check out early how it will look when you get the "final" product. Most of the procedural/ai stuff like rocks, foliage, grass, fields/crops, basically all the new eye candy as seen in the previews and trailers is NOT implemented in this build. Traffic of any kind is made of generic models. The final build we get next month is going to be much better 😁 I can’t wait 😁
They said the same during the msfs 2020 alpha and it took a year to get liveries. At what point do we start asking why things aren’t shown fully baked, less than 30 days away?
@@BobDolelol I totally get what they said, I read what they said, yet I still have concerns. Alpha/beta or nothing in between, the sim is not as “next gen” as they claimed it would be. And trust me, come December, if I’m wrong, I will GLADLY admit to it.

But the last few hours I have not been able to watch them this way. FYI there is NO vegetation of any sort in the alpha aside from the new 3d trees, which do look amazing. However, the satellite data is woefully lowres and outright blurry.
@@twotonemurphy I waas able to cycle through seasons and months. The trees get progressively more barren as winter approaches and the crops do appear and also have progressive growth. Nice.
It’s not a beta is to stress test the servers , this product is far from a finished product and you can’t compare this to 2020 in this stage yet I hope people understand this. This is stripped by purpose that’s the whole idea of this alpha thing

You think there’s a fully baked version ready to go, 30 days before launch, that they’re just sitting on? Wouldn’t one think they’d want to test that as well? Instead we get a super basic sim for “telemetry testing” and we’re a month out from launch. It just doesn’t provide confidence that the product is what they say it will be. (Hint: us MSFS 2020 alpha testers have seen this dance before… they’re nowhere near as ready as they say.) I hope I’m wrong. Truly.

I have wiped out my SSD and it's already for the new flight sim. Thank you so much for a in depth video, May I ask, what specs you are using on the flight simulator? It looks. like 4K to me. I am quite worried about my specs, I have a 4060TI 16 gigabyte Nvidia card. But I think my processor is going to let me down. I have the AMD 5600 X.
Murph I've been flying on the Alpha around the UK, do you think the Autumn seasonal is a bit too full on? Flying over Northampton it feels to orange and golden as i still see a lot of green outside. I know Ireland will be much the same in reality - what do you think? Also have you had any crashes whilst zooming in external view -I've had a couple of CTD's
Good video! My main issue with 2020 is that with DLLS and frame generator the screens and dials of the cockpit panel are blurry to a point I have to run without DLLS and Frame generator to be able to use them. Can you tell me if that is solved in 2024 please?, can you run with DLLS and Frame generator with clear screens and dials?

Maybe I'm missing something, but....is this a 9 and a half hour video of a flight simulator with no flying? I understand looking at the terrain detail to see the improvements but dang. That's a long video with no (or virtually no) flying.
Once you set all your assignments, save it as a copy, and every time you launch the game, go to your Controller settings and select your 'copy' preset. This worked for me with a hotas.
@@Adventure494 Make sure you're configuring your control as an Axis and not Increase or Decrease. Then, adjust its axis sensitivity, save and reset to zero and save again. This has worked for me for various axes on a hotas that were just giving me all or nothing.
Flight Simulator 2024 for president! I am telling you let's all ditch the real world and slide into FS2024, it looks way better then reality 🤣 Probably, way more fun too lol.
Running the alpha on a 4090 is pretty flawless bearing in mind this is far earlier than the current built state if you have a 4070, 4080 or 4090 or Radeon equivalent I wouldn't wait will it be perfect on release no but it's VERY much worth buying in to.

Clouds are same, weather is same, terrain is a bit more high def… not sure where this “next gen” sim is though. Also, why wouldn’t they let people test the full product? They’re 30 days away. Is it not done yet? Same vibe as MSFS 2020 alpha.

Downloaded and played w the Alpha today. Having some issues setting up the 3D extreme joystick. Will keep hacking at it 😅
