Wish you had shared, why in world would a country legend have his birthday celebration in C. Sort if sad to all the country folks and olaces Willie grew.
My tears weren’t heartbreak…they were gratitude to see him again. He has a tender place in my heart…sweet, kind man. I’m so glad he was there to celebrate.
Hard to pick favorites from this show, but Kris' two songs are certainly up there. Tears of gratitude for sure. Roseanne and Norah both had his back and were so great with him. Amazing moments.
He came to celebrate Willie, his best friend of over 50 years. He sang both nights after having been retired for some time. That took guts. This 86-year old troubadour has written some of the finest songs in the English language, and he can sing them any damned place and any damned way he wants to. This is the same man who stood up for his principles and endured the oppobrium heaped on his head by folks who thought we had the right to interfere in other foreign countries as much as we wanted. Never backed down, regardless of the impact on his career. I cried too, not because of heartbreak, but because it was so great to see him again. The fact that he retired totally without fanfare is a measure of the man's humility, and I'm sure that the incredible reaction of the crowd both stunned him and warmed his heart.
It’s so hard to put into words what he has meant to so many. He doesn’t look his age. Kris is one of those people that you always expect to be around. But whether he is or sadly if he isn’t it’s a huge loss. God bless Kris always. ❤️🦋❤️
His ex wife Rita Coolidge once said that despite the drinking that led to the break up of their marriage, Kris had the kindest soul of anyone she had ever known.
Thank you Roseanne for getting Kris through this. I've loved him SO MUCH for most of my life, that it was painful to see him so "frail". He has saved my life several times with his lyrics!!!! And he, to me, is the finest example of what a human being should be!!!!! Whenever is my time to "Fly Away", I will always carry his heart connected to mine to wherever my destination may be. Please let Kris know how much he is still, and will FOREVER, be loved by those of us he touched. Thank you.. Lynne Henry
There are so many memories I have of Kris growing up. I was lucky enough to have a mother and aunt who had great taste in music. I remember where I was and what we were doing when at 5 years old listening to Janis Joplin singing for the first time on the radio Bobby McGee. I remember Sammi Smith singing Help Me Make It Through The Night and seeing the man who wrote those amazing songs for the first time when I was 10 in A Star is Born with my Aunt, Grandma, and cousin. About 25 years ago my mother, aunt, and I stumbled near his ranch in Maui. When we found out it was the Kristofferson ranch we, didn't dare trespass on his property or try to meet him, we did spend the rest of the day in Hanna smiling and singing all his songs. He is as much a part of my life and special memories as Elvis. In a few years, we will be celebrating this special 90th birthday occasion for you! You are so loved and appreciated Kris!♥♥
I've been deeply and seriously in love with Kris Kristofferson scince 1972. And at age 65 still in love. Thank you Kris for giving all of us some of the truly best song lyrics in all of human history. Yea, all time. Enjoy each and every day, dear man.
Watching this on the night Gordon Lightfoot passed away… Kris Kristofferson … is a great talent… tough to see so many people who make up your past… getting older and slipping away… Guess I’m getting older too… the time just passed so quickly… savor the little things… they are so beautifully important…Peace…
We need to give Roseanne Cash credit for helping Kris to walk and stand on stage, you could see she was giving him strength by holding his hand and helping steady his walk.
First off, Kris is without competition my favorite singer songwriter of all my life, and I'm 73! And this comes from someone who was a rabid Beatles fan, before I ever even heard of Kris. But even John and Paul don't match Kris's genius as a song writer. And though many people have covered his songs, only Kris can sing them with the heart and soul his songs deserve, imo! You asked for my favorite Kris memory. That would have to be during the first concert of his, I went out of 4 times. This concert was in the Muncipal Auditorium in Kansas City, KS, which is not a huge venue, and I was lucky to be in the front third or so, so had an excellent view. This was back in 1974 or '75, and I was already a HUGE fan. So I was pretty much hanging on his every word and note. Now mind you, as with most of the time in that era of his life, he was either, pretty darn drunk or high, or both. But anyone who was a Kris fan in those days wasn't shocked by that. It was kind of his trade mark. Now this did not mean he wasn't putting on a fantastic show. He was! He never missed a word or a note, what it meant was he had zero filter! And he had us in stiches pretty much every time, he'd stop to chat between songs. Well, maybe, halfway through the concert, some dude in the audience, who was probably as drunk as Kris, kept yelling at him, "Where's Rita???" Never mind the concert had never been billed as her being there. Finally after the umpteenth time, of him yelling that, and Kris trying to ignore him, Kris stops mid sentence! He gives the guy a level glare under those magnificent eyebrows, and says, "Rita?? Hell! Rita's pregnant!!!" Well, that shut the guy up, and the rest of us burst into raucous laughter!! 😁 Kris gives us all his famous grin, and goes back to whatever it was he was saying!! So, yep, that's my favorite Kris memory, unless you count every song he sang in the next three concerts of his, I was privileged to attend. And the last of those was during the time when he came back after the Lymes Disease treatment and gave us another two or so magical years, before retiring for good. I love that I got to see him during that time! Lord knows I will love Kris and his talent for the rest of my life. And yes, his two performances at Willie's Birthday party, though I only saw videos, moved me to tears, primarily at seeing his pure joy at being there!!
I have loved Kris Kristofferson since I was 12 years old. 59 years old now. His pictures were all over my room, t shirts I wore with his picture, albums, movies, etc... I met him twice in Savannah, Georgia. Once after a concert at 16 years old at Savannah Civic Center, went on his bus and in Donnie Fritz room at The Desota Hilton. Donnie Fritz called my home at 12 something that night and my mother cussed him out not knowing or caring, totally embarrassing. Then after another show he did at a bar "Night Lights" in Savannah at 21 years old. I met him personally, chatted, even got a huge kiss. He has and always will be my major crush and love. Thank you Jesus❣️ Kristofferson 💖❣️ BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES FOREVER ♾️
I've been a fan of Kris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson for most of my life (I'm 62 this September). They both seem like humble people to me. God bless both of them.
I saw Kris at a concert at the music circus n Massachusetts in the early 80’s. I became a fan after seeing him in the movie, Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. Have loved him ever since. His songs are poetry put to music. After the concert, his and his band went outside to chat and sign autographs. My husband, Bob was talking to Donnie and I was waiting to get an autograph. My husband shouted “Kris, can you come over and give my wife a kiss so I can go home”. Kris walked over to us, shook my husbands hand and gave me a sweet kiss on the lips. I was in heaven! I also saw him and Rita Coolidge twice. The last concert I saw him at was with my granddaughter three years ago. He still was great. A great, great songwriter.
Kris Kristofferson is the greatest songwriter of our generation. I was a shy kid who didn’t know how to express my feelings. I somehow got a Kris Kristofferson album, and I wore that thing out. I said “l’m going to write a song like that”. Well, almost a thousand songs later, and l haven’t come close. But songwriting is the one thing I love and still do. I wasn’t talented enough to make a living writing, but l won some awards, had 30 songs published, wrote some theme songs for radio shows. But not being good enough to do it for a living means nothing to me now. Songwriting has saved my life and Kris Kristofferson and the honesty that pours from his pen, has been the greatest inspiration to me. When Kris does go to heaven, the world becomes a different place. At least it does to me. I love you Kris Kristofferson.
Kris and Willie showed me the light of the wisdom and beauty of Country Music. They are more than poet minstrels, they are our greatest leaders and bring honor a grace to our nation and to all of humanity.
I’m approaching -all too quickly- my late 60s. I’ve had two challenging careers: military and federal wildlife law enforcement. Watching this well-deserved celebration of Willie’s birthday, I do so sincerely wish that Merle could have been there. And I learned just a few hours ago of the passing of another favorite of mine: Gordon Lightfoot (I did lights and sound at his live concert at New Mexico State’s Pan Am Center in 1980). While I recognize the talent of so many younger performers, across all realms of music and entertainment, I can’t help but mourn the loss of so many that have gone on before them. But with each passing of friends, relatives, and these entertainment giants who played a large part of my younger years, I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I do so tire of death. If I have consolation, it’s that I believe in “something far greater” after this life. And if so, there must be some great parties waiting up ahead! Peace to all, both old and young….all of you….many who have taught me acceptance, and through acceptance and kindness, brought me an inner peace. Peace out, Willie!
I was in America in 2012 and was fortunate to be able to see Kris Kristofferson and Merle Haggard together in Portsmouth, I particularly wanted to hear Kris's service songs he sung a couple with compassion and dignity. Also heard my favourite Silver Wings and a song Merle said he wrote for his brother, which I really liked but cannot remember the title even looking through his song list to find a clue.
Nicely said and much appreciated. We have it backward at this time, as I'm watching the Willie Tribute for the 1st time tonight. Blown away from his entrance...a bit hard to handle but Roseanne hardened my spine a touch. Gordon being (I was going to say, 'one of ours') but he too, was certainly, ONE FOR US ALL.
I had the pleasure of working in a Movie with Kris and Burt in 1977 and Kris caught up with me online about a year ago. Thanks for Remembering Me My Ole Friend 😊
Kris Kristofferson has always been one of my favourite country singer/songwriter/entertainer since I was a teenager! I am sorry i didn't get to see him in person but i am thrilled that he was able to perform for one of his oldest and dearest friends. Im happy for Willie that his good friend could be there! Awesome! 😢😊❤
Rosanne, thank you for helping Kris through this. I broke down crying, still seeing his smile and the glint in his eyes. Your respectful, caring being, was appreciated by this fan. Thank you. Amazing tribute. 🥰
Love Kris and Willie. The very best and most listened to in my house. So glad to have seen them perform in person. Prayers for them to continue singing their heartfelt songs.❤❤
Happy Birthday Willie. You and your music will be loved forever. As for Kris,: A Viet Nam Vet, a Rhodes Scholar, a Golden Gloves Boxer, a helicopter pilot, a Captain in the military, a professor at West Point. - just to name a few accomplishments... All he ever wanted to be was a song writer!!! So, he gave up everything including his family and went to work as a janitor where he was finally discovered by June Carter Cash. June lead him into Johnnies sights and finally he was recognized for "Sunday Morning Comin' Down." The rest is history as his career not only made GREAT MUSIC but also GREAT MOVIES.
He left giving a nice hearty 8th Infantry Division Salute---who he served with as a Helicopter Pilot in Bad Kreuznach Germany...."Follow Me" "Pathfinder" "These are my Credentials"...the many mottos of that Division Kris proudly served with.
When Kris played at the Casino Queen in St Louis,he made a reference to aging and how he had lived so long that the pretty girls reminded him of his granddaughters. I had been fortunate enough to get front row center seats and I responded that it sure beat the alternative. He looked at me out of the corner of his eye and after the last song,he stepped forward, leaned over and shook my hand. All I can say is WOW!!!
R.I.P Kris, we will remember you for many years to come, thanks for all you AMAZING songs, both that you sang and the songs that you let others make it to become WORLD HITS !!
I saw Kris years ago in concert at Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth. He was amazing and I’ll never forget that inimitable voice, his good looks and that smile! He’s simply in a class by himself - a true legend!
From being a helicopter gunship pilot, achieving a Ranger tab, turning down a teaching position at West Point. Then becoming a janitor of all things. Then landing a helicopter on Johnny Cash’s lawn to give him a cassette tape of his songs. This guy has lived one crazy life!
Great summary! Like the college professor who he could have been, he has taught us so much! The song "Jesus Was a Capricorn" often comes to my mind when I see intolerance, sometimes my own.
Kris is a legend and a kind soul. Was so cool to see him out there one more time. Its bittersweet seeing this, reminds me of the people we got so used to having around are getting very old. We will always have the songs, films and more so that is the greatness these men leave us when they say their final goodbye.
“Loving Her Was Easier” is my favorite of Kris’s. I was going to sing it at the Palomino Club in North Hollywood in 1979. I met a young lady who I had seen sing and asked her if she would do some background harmonies. We went out on the patio and rehearsed the song. I asked her to join me at a Party I was singing at and she said yes! She became my steady girlfriend, and then my wife a year later. So, “Loving Her is Easier” was TRUE for me…and a VERY Special Memory. ❤
I love Kris, he has always been my guy. My first husband introduced me to his music and I’ve loved it ever since. And him and all the highway men are beautiful people with beautiful music I loved it then before we started losing some of our guys and I still love it. I cryed listening to this just loved seeing him. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILLIE
I saw Kris in concert in the 70's at kings dominion park in va. He was great, and I've been a fan ever since. Here's sending him wishes for good health, and everything good.
He came to the Barbican Theatre in York, England, in '93, with just a keyboard player. There were 30 of us in the 1,450 seat venue. To this day I don't know why so few were there.
I recently randomly made a comment about the highwaymen on FB. Kris responded. I was blown away. He is and they always will be the best of country music
Kris was the sound track of my life, for the good times and the bad. God bless this kind and creative man who helped shape the artistic times in which we have lived.
Kris wrote some of country musics best ever songs.. Saw him three times here in Ireland. Always a great performance Very humble man. He is a living example that greatness doesnt save you from arthritis.
I remember my Mom and Dad loved country music. They got there music from the radio and great tv shows of their time. Shows like, The Johnny Cash Show, Glenn Campbell Goodtime hour and just like John 5, HeeHaw! I never seen them ever buy a record, that was until this unknown guy that they seen on Johnny's show one night, yes, they actually went out and bought a record album . That record was Kris Kristofferson's debut album! That's my first memory of Kris Kristofferson!
It's so sad to see that in a few more years they'll both be gone, and we will never see the likes of their creative geniuses again in my lifetime at 74 years old.
Thursday, June 22nd ---- TODAY ---- Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Kris, Happy Birthday to you!!!! I hope you find peace on this your natal day, and I so hope you realize how special you''ve been to so many of us!!!!! You've been my hero, my role model, my life-saver SO MANY TIMES!!!!! You gave me the courage to live a more truly honest, life-changing, fearless life than I ever would have been able to do without you. And that hug you gave me after that concert in New York City will go with me even into a next lifetime!!! It's tucked in my heart forever!!! I love you so much, Kris!!! Be at peace!!! Lynne Henry
We used to work for the same company flying helicopters offshore for the oil industry. It happens to all of us but it's still sad to see someone get old and have trouble walking. It brought tears to my eyes.
Thank You ROSEANNE...YOU HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A CLASS ACT...I remember meeting you years ago in OKLAHOMA City... Vince Gill was early in his Career...I was sitting with Vince's Mom...and Roseanne was amazed with Mrs Gills Ring...What a Memorable night it was....
I HAVE been a BIG FAN ever since I saw him in the movie " A STAR is BORN " with the Beautiful Barbara Streisand ..... OH HOW The TWO of them MADE Such BEAUTIFUL MUSIC TOGETHER 🎉 🎶 🌞 sending 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹 ❤️💖💕💘🤩🤩🤩
Diana - I also have been a big fan of Kris since I saw that movie...actually I saw it twice since I could not stop talking about it my daughter wanted to see it too. Now that was a long time ago and I was lucky to see Kris in concert when he came to California close by where I lived...I was in heaven.
Absolutely if I may simply say ditto to your words❣️ 1976-78 time frame 2-3grade it was Paul Williams (too much to list), David Crosby (CSN) & Kris (Star Is Born) brought music into my life Still I must have a full box of tissue & for those who might not have ever heard... Check out his song he wrote at 13 it is hysterical & great at the same time Love to all you fans who’ve posted I’ve so much enjoyed reading them...
I was fortunate enough to see Kris and his band in January 2016 at The Queens Hall in my home city of Edinburgh. Although almost 80 he did two sets of an hour each and he was awesome. He was just about to do a third encore when his manager came on stage and led him off because he was clearly exhausted! What a legend.
Agree. And do you notice he still has that great easy kinda smile. I was probably about 7 or 8 when I said oooo I like kris. Then mama took me to see him at carowinds. I've seen him many times in person. Then I grew up a little and a star is born with him is my all time favorite movie. I have the cd in my car now and I'm getting old
Kris Kristofferson has been and still is a handsome man. I cry at the thought of him not being with us. Even with the short clip of Willie singing with George Straight (another fine specimen of man) Willie sounds like he's still got that voice we love. Getting old just sucks.
I got to see Kris perform at Gateshead, England and he was 82. He was on stage for more than an hour and a half. He was amazing and had the audience in the palm of his hand. To see him honouring his friend of so many years was so touching. God bless Kris and Rosanne .Thank you for posting this video.
You can take the old guy out of the military. But you cannot take the military out of the guy. His salute at 86 yo is and was as sharp as any active duty soldier today. Mr. Kristofferson, Thank you for your service to your country while in uniform and to mankind since you hung up your uniform. I have been a great fan of your music and it didnt matter if it was you or someone else singing it. You are a national treasure.
i followed all these singer for all of my adult years & still doing same at 76yrs but now i shiver with feeling missing them every time i download & i doe it a lot thank god i heard their talent
I LOVE BOTH OFTHESE GUYS, AND HAD THE HONOR TO SEE THEM TOGETHER IN CONCERT IN HAWAII IN 79 I BELIEVE! IT'S S STILL ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS EVER!! I ALSO LOVE THEIR HUMANITARIANISM AS WELL AS THEIR AMAZING TALENTS AND MUSIC THEY'VE SHARED WITH US FOR ALL THESE YEARS... VERY HONORABLE AND RESPECTED MEN MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS THEM BOTH🙏🙏🙏 HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILLIE ANA MANY MORE. XOXO 😘😘😘
I saw Willie and Kris in Minnesota. Best concert ever! Favorite Kris song is from here to forever… gonna jam on the cello or viola to that, eventually. 😂🤷♀️👍
We had the pleasure of meeting Kris Kristofferson at the IP casino we were one of the lucky ones who got a meet & greet & had our picture taken with him. What an honor it was was for us this man is not only a great musician but is a living legend. I have always loved Kris’s music & will continue listening to his music. One of the best!
One night in the mid 70's Kris was singing at a club in Raleigh, NC. He sang a song with the refrain "if you don't like Hank Williams, then you can kiss my ass". After the show he was hanging out with the crowd and my friend told him I wanted to tell him something. He came over and asked about it and I told him "I don't like Hank Williams". He took a second or two to realize what I was asking and just cracked up and gave me a huge hug. Maybe the best thing that ever happened to me. Thanks Kris and I'll love you forever.
He was also an incredible actor. He was in both of the famous Dolphin Tale movies and he was so convincing as Hazels grandfather. And of course. He’s also an incredible singer and songwriter.
I love this sweetie!! Wow fantastic singing! I could only dream of ever being able to enjoy your moments in music in life!! Every moment should be enjoyable and remembered with happiness!!
I watched this when it aired, and it brought many tears. I was not a big KK fan, but my mom and dad are, and just thinking of how many years ago that was, where they would play him on the stereo, and I being so young, not paying much attention, but would hear it so many times, to the point I can still sing all the lyrics. Cherish every single moment, wether it seems small or big, because something this SMALL from many years ago, could bring this many BIG tears many many years later.
I cried seeing Kris ! Wow one of the best song writers of all time. Love him! God bless Kris and Willy those were great days in the 80’s and 90’s memories I will always hold in my heart.
Happy Birthday Willie.....so many of the greats are gone or on their way out.....sure hope these two hang around a while longer though....love Willie and Kris.
I dread the day I hear either are gone. If you've never heard it, please check out Seth Avett of The Avett Brothers singing "Willie Got There First," a masterful tribute song.
Got too see him perform with Merles Haggards band "The Strangers" 3or 4 years ago and he was amazing. Played and sang beautiful for at least an hour. He closed with an amazing rendition of "Why Me Lord" and had thousands of us singing with him. I had no idea so many people would know that song!
I did too!! It was such a tender touching performance!! Roseanne is just like a daughter and you could see the love between them!! So beautiful!! I would say that’s it’s heartbreaking to see these guys in their last days!! What will we do without them?? ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
My first husband’s grandfather was retired but he worked at supplying large buildings in Shreveport with plants and caring for them. One Sunday he was late coming home for Sunday lunch when he walked in with Kris Kristofferson. He had run into him at the venue Kris was going to perform at. They apparently got into a conversation. Paw Paw was impressed and invited him to Sunday after church lunch! Paw Paw had no idea who he was. He just liked him and was impressed. We ate, Paw Paw too him back to the venue. He enjoyed the fried chicken and we enjoyed his company!
I had the great privilege to meet kris after a show in Fresno Ca, he was so cool and laid back a true poet. It will always be one of my finest memories.

Add me too. He's such a professional, and he never let his fame go to his head.

Awesome! I am envious! 💖❤
Hello Rebecca, how are you doing??
My 3 favorite songs by Kris. Loving Her Was Easier, Me And Bobby McGee, Help Me Make It Through The Night.
OH YEAH 🤣 Best song's ...compared to what they write nowadays.... The oldies blow these days song's out of the water 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦. 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹 🎶🎶🌞🌞
I always loved Sunday morning coming down too
Why Me Lord ?
Sunday morning goin down always breaks me.
The pilgrim chapter 33 and taker for me among so many others
Hello Marlene, how are you doing?
Hello Marlene, how are you doing??
I love Kris Kristofferson so much I saw him and Rita in concert back in 1977. Was awesome.
I saw them around the same time in Jacksonville Fl. They had an unforgettable chemistry.
OH WOW.... THAT'S a PRICELESS Memory I'M SURE... They sang so beautifully together 🎶🎶🎶🌞🌞🌞 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹 💘💖
Thanks
I did too. I saw them in Baton Rouge La. Billy Swan was their opening act.

Thank you for your service to our nation sir! It is appreciated more than you know.
@@charlesbartholomew2910 That was both an incredibly kind and thoughtful response, Charles. It meant a lot to me. Take care, be safe…and thank you.
I believe the song Merle wrote for is brother is Listening To The Wind@@barbaraharris7004
Kris is a legend. No other comment necessary.❤️
Upvote!
Have loved him and his music for 60 years! Balling.
I had the pleasure of working in a Movie with Kris and Burt in 1977 and Kris caught up with me online about a year ago. Thanks for Remembering Me My Ole Friend 😊
What movie?
Kris Kristofferson has always been one of my favourite country singer/songwriter/entertainer since I was a teenager! I am sorry i didn't get to see him in person but i am thrilled that he was able to perform for one of his oldest and dearest friends. Im happy for Willie that his good friend could be there! Awesome! 😢😊❤
So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song. Hello
Hello barb, how are you doing??
Absolutely! Nicely said.
June lead him into Johnnies sights and finally he was recognized for "Sunday Morning Comin' Down."
The rest is history as his career not only made GREAT MUSIC but also GREAT MOVIES.
Google is your friend. You might try consulting it every now and then.
Urban Legends R U
He left giving a nice hearty 8th Infantry Division Salute---who he served with as a Helicopter Pilot in Bad Kreuznach Germany...."Follow Me" "Pathfinder" "These are my Credentials"...the many mottos of that Division Kris proudly served with.
My favorite memory of Kris will always be him as the "Rubber Duck" in the movie Convoy!!! What a legendary career.
All I can say is WOW!!!
ol Chris and Willie are the dinosaurs of the music industry in my opinion, along with Hank Jr. well he sings the song lol. HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILLIE
R.I.P Kris, we will remember you for many years to come, thanks for all you AMAZING songs, both that you sang and the songs that you let others make it to become WORLD HITS !!
It made me sob again to watch this. Warmest love I can send, from the bottom of my soul, to Mr. Kris
Such an amazing, intelligent, and talented man!
You omitted Rhodes Scholar, Oxford university.
@@brucewilliams9476 yea, I also omitted self admitted alcoholic once..
So much about that generation we don't know.
Loving Kris Kristofferson was easier than anything I'll ever do again...
Hello Connie, how are you doing??
Nice, agreed
“Loving Her Was Easier” is my favorite of Kris’s. I was going to sing it at the Palomino Club in North Hollywood in 1979. I met a young lady who I had seen sing and asked her if she would do some background harmonies. We went out on the patio and rehearsed the song. I asked her to join me at a Party I was singing at and she said yes! She became my steady girlfriend, and then my wife a year later. So, “Loving Her is Easier” was TRUE for me…and a VERY Special Memory. ❤
Just LOVE Kris Kristofferson... My favorite of Kris Kristofferson was with Barbra Streisand.... A Star is Born ❣️💕🇨🇦🇨🇦🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹❌⭕
One of the true Country artists left. Music is just not the same.
Johnny Cash and him were great friends!
Love seeing Kris. Willie your voice sounds soooo good! At 90! Omg! And still playing guitar like you always have. Your an amazing man. I love you.
We all love you Kris more than you can know!
Most definitely
Hello pat, how are you doing??
Lucky you, living here in Australia 🇦🇺 we don't get these country legends touring.
A complete and utter genius treasure gosh his lyrics 👏 never be repeated again soooooo thrilled hes happily married and has a beautiful family ❤❤❤❤❤
I recently randomly made a comment about the highwaymen on FB. Kris responded. I was blown away. He is and they always will be the best of country music
Hope you saved the comment!!
Waking in the morning to the feel of her fingers on my skin best lyric of all time
Saw Kris in NH 5-6 years ago, for the first and only time… but have enjoyed his talent for many, many years.
Kris was the sound track of my life, for the good times and the bad. God bless this kind and creative man who helped shape the artistic times in which we have lived.
Sending love right back smile more. Smiling can make you and others happy.Did you meet in concert?
KK has been in our lives for 50+ years…our go-to music forever. Love, love, love him and his singing…and we saw him in. Concert too!
Shows like,
The Johnny Cash Show, Glenn Campbell Goodtime hour and just like John 5, HeeHaw! I never seen them ever buy a record, that was until this unknown guy that they seen on Johnny's show one night, yes, they actually went out and bought a record album . That record was Kris Kristofferson's
debut album!
It brought tears to my eyes.
as far as i'm concerned, kris kristofferson is the greatest country artist of all time. what a brilliant singer\songwriter! what a great soul!
My favorite memory of Chris was the first time Johnny Cash sang " Sunday Morning Coming Down "
IT'S KRIS
@@Julia67126 i thought about that after I posted the comment, hoped no one would notice,
Love both Willie and Kris, they are very talented.

Now that was a long time ago and I was lucky to see Kris in concert when he came to California close by where I lived...I was in heaven.
Absolutely if I may simply say ditto to your words❣️
1976-78 time frame 2-3grade it was Paul Williams (too much to list), David Crosby (CSN) & Kris (Star Is Born) brought music into my life
Still I must have a full box of tissue
& for those who might not have ever heard...
Check out his song he wrote at 13 it is hysterical & great at the same time
Love to all you fans who’ve posted
I’ve so much enjoyed reading them...
Kris has always cried easily, it proves he is a real person!
Hello Linda, how are you doing??
REST in PEACE Kris. Your songs will never be forgotten. They will never grow old.
My favorite all time songwriter there will never be another like him a true poet
Das war eine schöne Geburtstagsfeier.Ich wäre gerne dabei gewesen. Herzlichen Glückwunsch Willie Nelson zum 90.Geburtstag 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hello young lady, how are you doing??
Rest easy, Kris Kristofferson. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world. You will forever be missed and loved🕊️
Many years ago I came face to face wit Kris in the airport.....love him !!!❤❤
So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song. How are you?
Bless his big heart. I love Kris Kristofferson. One of the best song writers ever. So very handsome and a great actor too. 😎
Them blue eyes
I'm a 60 year old man and I myself have gotten better looking with age but, I also think he's still better looking than me.
@@RedBud315 Then you've got older and better!
I got to see Kris perform at Gateshead, England and he was 82. He was on stage for more than an hour and a half. He was amazing and had the audience in the palm of his hand. To see him honouring his friend of so many years was so touching. God bless Kris and Rosanne .Thank you for posting this video.
Loved loved loved him in so many things. I just watched a star is born he was just gorgeous in that . I hope he's still happy in his life.😊
You can take the old guy out of the military.
He wrote some of the greatest songs. Of all time, yea Mr. K
i followed all these singer for all of my adult years & still doing same at 76yrs but now i shiver with feeling missing them
every time i download & i doe it a lot

Hello Pam, how are you doing??
I saw Willie and Kris in Minnesota. Best concert ever! Favorite Kris song is from here to forever… gonna jam on the cello or viola to that, eventually. 😂🤷♀️👍
We had the pleasure of meeting Kris Kristofferson at the IP casino we were one of the lucky ones who got a meet & greet & had our picture taken with him. What an honor it was was for us this man is not only a great musician but is a living legend. I have always loved Kris’s music & will continue listening to his music. One of the best!
Sending love right back, the world always looks brighter from behind a smile.did you attend any concert of the gem live?
Hello Linda, how are you doing??
One night in the mid 70's Kris was singing at a club in Raleigh, NC. He sang a song with the refrain "if you don't like Hank Williams, then you can kiss my ass". After the show he was hanging out with the crowd and my friend told him I wanted to tell him something. He came over and asked about it and I told him "I don't like Hank Williams". He took a second or two to realize what I was asking and just cracked up and gave me a huge hug. Maybe the best thing that ever happened to me. Thanks Kris and I'll love you forever.
He was tremendous in Billy the Kid
My favorite memory was seeing him and, Merle Haggard on the same stage at the Minnesota State Fair.
He was also an incredible actor. He was in both of the famous Dolphin Tale movies and he was so convincing as Hazels grandfather. And of course. He’s also an incredible singer and songwriter.
And don't forget A Star is Born with Barbra Streisand!!!
Hello dawn, how are you doing??
He is and will always be one of my favorite singer as well willi Nelson and everyone else in country singing ❤️ I am a big fan of country music
Happy Birthday you have been my favorite for a long time❤❤❤❤
So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song. How are you?
I cried seeing Kris ! Wow one of the best song writers of all time. Love him! God bless Kris and Willy those were great days in the 80’s and 90’s memories I will always hold in my heart.
Happy Birthday Willie.....so many of the greats are gone or on their way out.....sure hope these two hang around a while longer though....love Willie and Kris.
I dread the day I hear either are gone. If you've never heard it, please check out Seth Avett of The Avett Brothers singing "Willie Got There First," a masterful tribute song.
Have always been a huge fan, both Willie AND KRIS. THANKS FOR SHARING GODS GIFTS TO YOU WITH US! ROSEANNE, THIS GOES FOR YOU AND JOHNNY, TOO
Got too see him perform with Merles Haggards band "The Strangers" 3or 4 years ago and he was amazing. Played and sang beautiful for at least an hour. He closed with an amazing rendition of "Why Me Lord" and had thousands of us singing with him. I had no idea so many people would know that song!
I cried during the whole performance
I did too!! It was such a tender touching performance!! Roseanne is just like a daughter and you could see the love between them!! So beautiful!! I would say that’s it’s heartbreaking to see these guys in their last days!! What will we do without them?? ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
REST IN PEACE SIR. A LIFE NOT WASTED FROM A BRILLIANT MAN 2024
Goosebumps...thankyou, Willie, thankyou Kris, thankyou Roseanne, thankyou all them good ole country boys, God bless you all !!!
Precious precious Kris!
Love Kris to this day. I enjoyed his work with the Highwaymen.Bobbi McGee is a classic. Bless him and Willie.
Also Roseanne was awesome.
I had the great privilege to meet kris after a show in Fresno Ca, he was so cool and laid back a true poet. It will always be one of my finest memories.
RIP KRIS - Thanks for the music, movies, and memories - you will be missed !!!
