@@baldeaglegarage on a gmt900 2007-13 gmc sierra I got a good deal on a 2011 gmc sierra single cab short bed 4x4 z71 for 9600 with 150K miles and I traveled to nebraska for it (no rust) just needed a abs sensor that was about it
Great video. When I first saw you place the extra piece of foam seal into the hole of the cab, I thought, whoa where is he going with this. But it looks like a great idea along with the ties. Did all of that help with any rattling? Thanks!
yeah I'm not sure if it would have rattled to begin with. But after looking at the LED resistor just hanging, it seemed like a good idea. Its an old truck, so there's 99 rattles, but this LED resistor isn't one!
@@baldeaglegarage Thanks....I followed your instructions and my install went great. I have a 2005 Silverado LS Crew Cab. Just got it painted and trying to dress it up a bit. Thanks for your video. Once of the best I've seen.
Need to add a diode to the circuit, there’s a video on UA-cam that walks you step by step. I did it and now my led cargo works great along with led map lights, they were dim beforehand.
@@baldeaglegarage i get it. I just didnt remember if my truck had running light on the third brake light. I tested the connections on the harness from the truck. I have constant power to the orange wire. It also seems to me that the cargo light button is backwards. Its off while depressed and on when not depressed.
Great video and congrats on the sponsorship!
Thank you!
I miss those trucks, since they were easy to work on.
They used to be cheap, now they're going up in value.
@@baldeaglegarageno joke single cab z71s go for 10K now
Yeah I don't see prices coming down on GMT800s, only up. If you can find a deal, grab it

Nice!
Great video very helpful!

Nice truck! Thanks for the compliment!
yeah, I copied you…should keep it quiet.
Thanks for the vid. Now that I have one, I don’t think I’m going to install it. The led brake light seems less brighter than the stock
Glad I could help
I put HID for the cargo bulbs but they’re dim. They lit up bright for a second then they dimmed out
Yeah I'm not sure about that one. I used LED because they use less power. Maybe your HID are pulling too much power for the circuit.
Any updates on how this has held up?
Yeah, its still working and looking good!
Does cruise control still work?
Yep, cruise still works with this brake light.
Any water leaks from that third brake light?
I put HID bulbs on the cargos lights and they’re dim :( how do I fix that
Hey did you ever fix it ?

Anyone know how to make the cargo light turn on or what do you connect to it
There should be switch on your dash for the cargo light. Flip the switch and it should come on.

No running lights
What do you mean? Third brake light doesn't have running lights? It's not supposed to. Third brake lights don't light up until you press the brake.
