Well this hit the spot
None of that fonky chonky is going on here, more like some noodly woodly
Love your vids Daniel👌🏾👍🏾
Funny seeing you here piano boy
Danieeeel
Yeah. thats some of that **insert big horn noise here**
I love music where the pianist looks really excited and the bassist looks like they’re holding on for dear life.
Def one of my fav genres
YES
Drummer drives; everyone else rides.
Well you see if he wasn't holding on for dear life they'd make the arrangement harder. Such is the plight of the bass player.
please watch the live version of desire by the hiromi trio youd love it
As a bassist.... I have my seat belt on
For those who have never played the drums, I just want to stress how insanely difficult this is. This is just insanely good.
In damn deed
Definitely, talent.
@@josephbaldi681 Calling this talent kind of discredits the YEARS of training it takes to play stuff like that so smoothly
@@Hardcorius I got your point, she's soooo goood. I know that is not only about being talent.
In my case, I guess no matter how much I practice, I'd not do it like her. She's insane.
@@Hardcorius It really, really doesn't. Talent is a measure of your skill cap, or the potential to reach certain levels. The fact she achieved it inherently PROVES she has talent. Stop thinking backwards and trying to find negatives where they don't belong. You know you intentionally misinterpreted the intent behind their comment in order to be contrary. Utterly childish an immature behaviour.
If that's what a night in Tunisia feels like, I'm going ASAP.
Wait until you hear what a night boat to Cairo is like(!)
wait until you hear what spain is like
Just go to ipanema, it's pretty chill there
Fabulous tribute👌👌👌
the original is relaxing. ..
As a drummer, her solo was on the cusp of chaos, but it was all precisely calculated.
Agreed. Somebody's got to keep time. Accents are great, but not a constant diet throughout the tune.
It was amazing because she could completely let go of the time without wrecking the other two who are so tight. Most drummers don't do this because when they do things fall apart. Not chaos at all just unusual.
her drumming is crisp and clean and without fault, maybe she got the immaculate bit from Jesus
yeah, controlled chaos
caca
Jesus must be one of the top musicians on the planet today
Wishing for a partnership with him and Varijashree Venugopal, one of the top singers on the planet today as well
i have the power of God AND jazz at my side!
❤
He always was 🙏
Respect from Tunisia 🇹🇳
does this accurately portray a night there?
@@Skelo-i4ybro that made me laugh wtf😭
Respect from Night
I am a 114 year old vampire from Romania and this has reminded me of childhood so much that I have gone back to impaling people and playing fugues on my organ
What?
God (or like the master of darkness?) Bless you Sir!
Good for you.
Nice
*Toccatas
The drummist, pianoer and basser are all incredible 🙏
Wtf
believe the correct term is "basshead"
BASSER???
peanits*
No they are actually called the “boom chic chic ttt chic boom boom” person
I love that baseline.
It's so good. Not only are the notes nasty, he does this slight lag/hiccup in there somewhere, and it's just a big brain melter.
@@baTonkaTruckyes because it’s in 11/8
@@Dubz03 It’s not just that it’s in 11, the bassline is slightly behind the beat, almost swings it, makes it tricky to count without the drums.
I love Vaseline too 😊
Yes
The skill and concentration to do this from all 3 members is absolutely mind boggling
This is for all my fellow older friends who say there is no good music anymore. These kids are brilliant!
Never heard Night in Tunisia played at this pace, but it was stupendous. The bass and drums were phenomenal…Thank you!!
And a different time signature
those drums were perfection. incredible performance all around.
This drummer is a beast.
How did that room not collapse while handling that amount of talent in 4 walls? what a drummer, the bassist is insane and we all know how awesome Jesus is
What a trio! Breathtaking twists and turns! Bravo to the drummer! Kudos go to the bassist! Full unabridged admiration to Jesus!
The pianist did really well too
@@simpslayer4204 right. Jesus is the pianist's name 😊
😂
thE SMILE ON jESUS' FACE....HE EXEMPLIFIES HOW MUCHjoy MUSIC CAN BRING
Are you okay?
please type normal
You want to gain an appreciation of how good each of them are? Listen to this as .75 speed and see how in sync and naturally quantized their brains are. Inteeeeense
Crazy
drummer is out of this world
It is not from another planet. He is a Latin American pride.
No es de otro planeta. Es un orgullo latinoamericano.
Grande maestro Jesús Molina.
Totalmente de acuerdo, hermoso comentario!
@@amadioscomedu8057 así es😊...
Great singer,sax and soon gtr
Unbelievable rendition of the night in Tunisia, I visited Tunis, Tunisia as a Navy Photographer in 1996, rich culture, loved it.
That sounds like a cool job, whats the most interesting thing you've experienced in it? Just curious as someone whow asnt even alive then
Came for pianist, stayed for drummer
Me and you we share the same sentiments.
All these cats got chops...Roni reminds me of JD Beck, and Jesus is very good on keys.
I see
So in the pocket
Very accurate
Drummer putting on a masterclass in dynamics. Phenomenal.
Probably the best thing I've ever heard in my life genuinely
I keep watching and listening to this.
I think really?
They just totally laid out a modern masterpiece.
Three people with a perfect balance.
I can’t even image who I’d declare was the person who shined most.
Outstanding piece of music.
WOW!!
The three of you have restored my faith in humanity....... incredible! :D
Possibly the most metal version of this tune I've ever heard. I was basically head banging to this, it was so succulent and to the musical point!
Kinda like bringing DnB into jazz after DnB sampled jazz drums lol
Yeah it sounds very Animals As Leaders
That contrabassist looks in pain, definitely a night to remember xD
Это было словно бог в хорошем настроении забывшись напевал озорную песенку. Я прослушал трижды, и каждый раз только лучше. Браво! Божественно!
like one of the best recordings ive ever heard. props to the three musicians and also props to whoever mixed and engineered all this
It sounds like you already spent your whole life in Tunisia after listening to this Amazing Take
the drummer stole my heart and breath.
I need to know what my most watched video on UA-cam is. It’s gotta be this video, absolutely mesmerizing musicianship!
When I first heard it, it instantly became a classic to me. Like Take Five. I was happy to find out that it is actually quite new and that there are talented young people who write new music in this style.
It was written in 1942 by Dizzy Gillespie...that's why it is a classic
@ Ha! Thanks for clearing that up.
Lmao you serious😂😂
Yes
@@mirkomarkovic3438 not you 🤦♂️
The concentration on the bass players face is amazing. So locked in
They have to be, it’s not just the drummer just keeping the beat but the bassist still has to keep their tempo
Yeah 4/4tune in 118 will do thst...Jesus is still laughing thru it
Best thing I've heard in years
They are so locked in especially the drummer. She killed that her playing adds so much texture and feel🔥🔥
using the dotted eighths to fake the almost 4:4 quarter-note pulse for a few of those measures is just brilliant, I'm a high school drummer and I've started learning how to play this over winter break and the 3 of you are massive inspirations to me and the rest of my jazz quartet
Nice dude same but I’m in middle school lol kinda got it under tempo
I thought it was a quick time change to 4/4 for those measures but could be wrong
My favourite jazz instrumental. Really fresh interpretation. Fabulous work. Love pianist the way he's really enjoying it interacting with his colleagues. So expressive. People are at their best when performing music or rescuing animals. My humble opinion.
I am so glad you can still find quality music nowadays
I loved Roni Kaspi's drumming! Definitely one of the best drummers I've heard. But as I don't play the drums and don't understand them that much, I don't have much to say about them and I'd like to point out something I haven't seen people point out yet - the way the left hand of the piano doubles the bass creates such an amazing and rich texture! More people should be creating timbres by doubling the same line with different instruments
Jesús, I'm in love with your drummer friend. And the bassist. And you
‘’and you’’ hahahaha

Drum chops are literally my favorite thing in the whole world🎶🔥
havent heard that molina cover in 3 years thanks for reminding me
Who is this drummer? Stunning, I thought I accidentally had my playback speed at 2.00, but checked and its normal. Incredible.
Roni kaspi, absolutely amazing
I wonder about the few people who gave thumb down. Do have they ears ?
It's accurate, not already listened, fast, powerful.
It's the music I love. Thank you, Jesus and your fellow musicians ! 😀
All of them are phenomenal . Impressive piano . Bass is killing it and drums is so on point . Amazing chops. And give it up to the sound engineer. Wow what a sound!
Every day i watch this video and cry tears of joy...
matteo, su, non fare così....
I can just imagine dizzy being absolutely blown away by this
Started listening to jazz in the 50's. I was 6 or 7. So lucky to grow up during that whole time and hear the greats!!! This brings back tons of memories.
beautifully composed and played... wow
Great TRIO!!!!!
These kids are Renaissance Savants!!! The are all crazy great!!!
ouch man that drummer, is killin, sounds so tight!
Roni Kaspi she's a beast studying at Berkeley
Never got that good. She is excellent !!!!!
@@jumperstartful keep playing and switch genre, radically btw not from jazz to boss im talking black metal to reggae to gamelan ensemble its helped me do anything i needed to do.
@@redlight3932 That's very good advice. I've jumped around everywhere literally from blues, to jazz, to nu-metal, to marching (snare/tenors), tech-deathmetal, to reggae, to pop-punk, to ska, back to tech deathcore, and much, much more. Even though heavy music is my "home", I love *_all_* music. Always saying yes to every opportunity that came my way to play a new style/genre that's out of my comfort zone, and actually spending the time with these different genres/styles to study, understand, & learn them has done so much for me as a musician.
You don't have to wait for the opportunity either, by the way. I'm always studying, and practicing different styles, genres, and techniques on my own.
When you take the time to study multiple genres, you learn countless techniques, and stylistic things that can be carried over to any other genre of music.
These are more tools added to your toolbox. Tools that open up an unlimited number of doors to creativity, and gigs too.
Another thing that I always recommend is going back, and learning the basics, because so many self-taught drummers (like myself) skip over the basics. I'm talking about rudiments, learning & understanding time signatures, and even learning to read sheet music.
I've been playing for 25 years, and I still practice my rudiments.
Oh, and if you started out on a double pedal like I did (which is common with metalheads like me), and having that double pedal is your comfort zone - take it away & practice without it *(often)* so that you can learn to be proficient with a single pedal, and how to *_really_* work your hi-hats.
This makes your double pedal playing much better too.
These simple things can truly transform a drummer into a professional, and open so many doors.
It's done so for me, countless others.
*And it's **_never_** too late to do these things.*
You've got to stay passionate, and keep at it (like you said).
Being a musician is a never ending journey of learning, discovery, and growth.
It's exciting, and it's truly a beautiful thing.
Take care, bro. 🤘

I just say this because I'm producing a commercial for the John Coletrain Jazz and Blues Fest in Greensboro Labor Day Weekend 2024. Jesus, was just added to the show and I had to add his music. The first track that came up was this. THIS IS MY DAD's TRACK ART BLAKEY...and I must say he did its justice. Hat's off to you young man, you did my dad proud!! EBlakey...
Your dads a legend
A Diz tune...not Art...
Diz helped bring Latin rhythm and playing to Jazz idiom
Can't get enough of this track. It has 'favouite movie' energy.
I hope I'm not the only one who came for the best workout music ...
This is the world's most mesmerizing song
I love this so much! Makes me realize how far I have to go to being a jazz pianist...
Buaaaaa chaval, que riiiiico xoxo
This gives me hope for future generations
Phenomenal group. Shades of Chick Corea. Drummer has Lenny White attack. She is very dynamic. Sky's the limit for this trio.
Wow, Jesus! You make me dizzy playing Dizzy!
Jesus!!!, jesus. This is my first coment on your site. By now every body should know that you are a one of a kind pianist. Those people playing along with you are outstanding as well. God gave
You a great gift and you kindly share it with whoever wants to hear. Thanks Jesus.
This was beautiful as a drummer I can really appreciate the time signatures and changes. Just awesome
Everyone having fun. Talented youngsters. Such a huge sound from only 3 piece band.
Pianist looks like he's bing chilling, bassist looks like there's a gun pointed at him, and the drummer looks like she's bored to death, but in reality they're all listening and watching each other intently, looking for cues, and nailing each one. Brilliant musicianship.
the bassist looks constipated
@@LeoVidsNah I think he’s just trying to ignore how the bass strings are shattering the bones in his fingers
This is an excellent version of a jazz classic. Mr Molina and group are quite rightly an awesome band. Very technical and accurate.
man, you`ve got no ideia how my life has changed after I knew your job, you`re genius and your music it`s a really gift to all of us
What is his job?
It blows my mind how this piece became a trend amongst a variety of musicians
That snare gives the sprite from McDonald’s a run for the most sensational feelings/sounds of all time.
It’s crispy and clean 😂
One of the best of our time
Amazing. All three of them. God bless them.
This song is unbeliavble sounding. Just a whimsical experience to behold truly. The drumming is masterful, and the piano player just looks like they are having a wonderous time with this.
¡QUÉ IMPRESIONANTE VERSIÓN DE NIGHT IN TUNISIA! ASOMBROSO. ME HE QUEDADO ENCANTADO. Grandes músicos, los tres.

one of my favorite I cant wait
As a drummer, i can savely say. I could never 😢😢❤
Thank you brother for this masterpiece.
You gave back the shine of our linda Tunisia!
Dizzy choosed the right country to create this music, he composed it even before visiting Tunisia !!
The music of Faso is an inexhaustible source of sweetness.
It allows us to plunge deep inside ourselves and at the same time resonate with our fellow man, Yé Lassina Coulibaly❤❤❤❤❤❤
Song: "What time signature is this in?"
Jesus: "Yes"
Seriously did you manage to identify all of the time signature changes? If somebody did please share them
@@IL-saxophonist it alternates between 11/8, 4/4 and 6/4
That's an 11/8 and then a regular 3/4
Or a 6/4 and a regular 4/4 ( I meant)
When the 4/4 measure blows your mind
Hear, you can see a happy guy playing piano, then a bass player and drummer hold to their life by a pinch of a cord that is slowly breaking apart. Very. Very. Slowly, until it literally starts MELTING
This is addicting
Every time I watch something he's involved in, I'm completely blown away....it's like I'm listening to something a god in a different dimension created. Cant get enough!
This has been my favorites piece from you & of my favorites in general since your NAMM video. Keep it up
