Actually I found food to be cheaper in Thailand than in Malaysia.
Food is expensive in Malaysia but you are right public transport like metro and buses and also hotels in KL are super cheap.

We have been to malaysia..two people...thailand,,malaysia,,combodia qnd jakarta...4 countries and 40 days...Total expensess = 5 lac each with teckits +hotel +food 😂...we came back last week..plus thailand govermant is good with muslims and malay governament is no good with muslims..plus malay people are no good and chinies people who live in malaysia from many years they are good..my request is feom malay governament and malay people is to be good as islam says to be good and impress chinies from your islam..thanks
