Mitchell glass packs take me back over 40 years. Hahahah. I worked in a muffler shop in the mid 70s -mid 80s. I can’t tell you how many glass packs I installed. Those sound just like I remember and the car sounds great.
WOW! The only thing wrong with this is...she ain't in my shop. Great work on my most favorite Ford. Flatheads are still the very best and thanks for keeping her "stock".
Hey there Matt. Thanks for another year of really great content. I'm hoping that both you and Kate, Mike and Steve and their families, and all of your other mates have a safe and happy holiday season and that the weather is kind to you all. Lots of love and blessings for a great New Year.
New tool Sears Craftsman sent (circa 1951) - made me laugh. My father used to work for Sears Lake Street store 1951, I was born, till 1977. Still have most of them
I have always liked the look of a '32 with the fenders and running boards. This is a classic build. Looks just right, and sounds just right with the exhaust!
This is MY type of hot rod. I like the full fenders and top roadsters for a daily driver and I would drive the wheels off it. Sounds great. Great job Matt and Steve. Thanks for taking us along for the 'ride'.
Great progress in this video showing some of the small bits that don't get included in the build but have to be done to make a car functional and have the look that is so important!! Thanks for the time you have taken showing us through videos the process of building a dream fleet of 32' Fords!!
Not in my books, what about Bad Brad, Vice Grip Garage, D&D Speedshop, Mortske Repairs, Puddin's Fab Shop, Turnin Rust, & on & on...ETC ETC..work just as hard as if not harder than ITG.....That's my opinion My friend......Exhaust sounds alright......
Good job guys! Always loved the wonderful sound of a flathead Ford (or Mercury) V8. There's just nothing like it in the world of cars. The the old '32 sounds just as good as a later model and COMPLETELY unlike the OHV engines. Hooked on flatheads here, and I'm 71!
Oh, I forgot to mention I'm a new subscriber. Never know how I missed you guys for so long. I had a '40 Ford tudor in the late '60's, but that's another story. Keep the good videos coming.!🚗⚙🔧
Workshop is looking much better to work in now that youve got that space up top for the other vehicles and parts storage. Gotta love the De Lorean, great original look👍
Looks great Matt. I could almost see flame shaped cones of exhaust coming out on idle. The sound was awesome when Steve gunned it. Merry Christmas and happy new year to you and the crew.
I just LOVE that V8 burbble. We just don't have cool V8's over here in the UK ; and the modern one's sound sooooo muted . Sounds Fand bloody tastic .Nice work .
Matt, it sounds good on Utube, I'm sure it sounds better in person. Glad to see you guys survived the Bruschetta I dropped off. I hope everyone (and Moon) have a Merry Christmas and a new year even better than 2022, where, I think, you got an incredible amount done.
You should market Steve’s “Devil Laugh” at about 21:10-21:20. That would be great for Halloween. Great job on getting the wiring together. Maybe sometime in the future you could feature tips on wire routing. I see many cool cars that have messy wiring. It is not hard to “neat it up” a little as you install it. That is a detail that many folks struggle with. From Frozen Texas, thanks for the fun. 🤠
Thanks Matt for anther great Year of letting us Old Guys live vicariously thru your adventures! I want to wish you and Mike & Steve and all off your Loved one's a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!.......Burrp!
WOW, great video to watch. You guys got a lot done on her today. She sounds awesome and all the electric lights look super cool 👍👍👍 . Merry Christmas to everyone
I have never sent a comment but when you started that car, the exhaust sound gave me goosebumps!!! Oh Man, those flatheads are sweet. Almost as good as the Mercury exhaust which really brought back some great memories. You guys are the best!!!
Hi Matt, Mike, Steve. Just thought I'd wish you a Happy Holidays. Love as always, Reading England. PS Hope that winter weather doesn't cause too many problems.
That's a really cool rod with lots of soul. I love the way you kept it sympathetic to its origins, and with that mild exhaust tone makes it a real class job. You are an artist sir with an excellent eye. Merry Xmas to you all.
Sounds GREAT!!!!!! Awesome job. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the entire IronTrap family, extended family and all your subscribers and their family. God Bless.
Your DeLorean is looking really good. It's nice that you are trying to bring it back --- as it was in it's day. Merry Christmas to you all --- and I hope the New Year will be good to you all also. ------- Rodney
put some rust inhibitor on the right hand door cause bear rusty metal was not how they built it, You can blend/age some paint/rust to look like the rest of the car. Then that door will look right and match the over all look of the car now. Your channel is one of the best for anyone that loves the old hot rods.. Keep it up and all the best in 2023
That’s the plan along with the areas that are bare metal where I replaced metal. Waiting for a good day to do it where we can clear the shop out and spray those areas. One step at a time…
Soon as I saw that Stewart Warner tach drive, I though you’d better have a good battery, or live on a hill. Watched some more and realised that you guys are way ahead of me and don’t need my smart arsed observations, but I’m sure looking forward to hearing 8000 rpm through your superb twin pipes. Merry Christmas.
I had one of those pipe cutters years back, worked great. I'm sure it was a Lisle tool Co. tool. Just looked it up obsolete at factory unfortunately but part # is 31500.
Heya great job! I’ve only recently come across your channel and I’ve been binge watching this delorean ford rescue. I know virtually nothing about this stuff and yet I’ve learnt so much in a week from you in regards to how everything fits together! Love the old numberplate but I noticed it sits slightly higher than it originally did? Before you could slightly see the year on the plate (finally seen the year clearly in the last vid of I watched where you restored that area), but now you can’t see it at all 😢 Love your work and thank you 🙏🏻 Jenny & lil Charlie 🐾🐾
That is way too cool that you have thew original mechanical tach drive. I am anxious to see it actually work. I love seeing old lights light up, but I am not crazy about blinking headlights. But, it ain't my car.
Good morning Matt and crew, love the progress!! Your artistic eye is phenomenal and what you do with this vintage iron is simply amazing!!! Merry Christmas to all of you and your families ❤ looking forward to 2023 and the ITG escapades, lol Happy New Year guy's 😎

New Zealand 🇳🇿
Happy Holidays!
Too bad the Delorans aren’t around to see it. What a great province. Matt, you and Steve are magicians.
I wonder if they were related to John Delorean of The ill fated DMC car company?
Yes. John’s brother Jack was the last one to drive it around. Watch the earlier videos on the car and it is described
New tool Sears Craftsman sent (circa 1951) - made me laugh. My father used to work for Sears Lake Street store 1951, I was born, till 1977. Still have most of them
Haha we try and keep it lighthearted! Still have some of my pops old craftsman tools in my box!
Sounds like I remember flatheads did with duals. A sound all their own especially the cackle when you back off against compression.
Matt it sounds awesome. You and Steve did a awesome job soughting this Hot Rod out !
Mufflers really sound good. BTW, I just want to say that Steve has really been a good addition to your team. Merry Christmas and happy New Year.

Listen To That Beautiful Ford Flathead !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ford Baby !!!!!!!!
This is MY type of hot rod. I like the full fenders and top roadsters for a daily driver and I would drive the wheels off it. Sounds great. Great job Matt and Steve. Thanks for taking us along for the 'ride'.
The DeLorean roadster sounds awesome. I can hardly wait for you to road test it.
Great progress in this video showing some of the small bits that don't get included in the build but have to be done to make a car functional and have the look that is so important!! Thanks for the time you have taken showing us through videos the process of building a dream fleet of 32' Fords!!

Love this one too.
How about a short bio on Steve. Does he have any old cars of his own? Did he work in the auto industry for his career?
Another great video Matt! Merry Christmas to you and yours, and your crew for a great year of videos, here's to a great '23!
