I stand with Drewberry. I'm definetly bored with Snap and feel like they have prioritized monetization over genuine content for to long. Tanking of gold values after selling everyone on double downs. Tokens becoming increasingly scarce, meanwhile filling the reward track with 10 boosters and gold tickets for a game mode that has been mostly dead for six months. Even silly fun stuff like emotes cost rediculous amounts of resources. Folks will defend this like "it's just cosmetics bro" but what else is there to go for in a feature lacking game. I hope it gets better one day, because I would love to go back. We're along for the ride brother. Thanks for all the great content for Snap, and I can't wait to see what comes next. I hope much more Rivals in the future!

Strangely enough I have kind of come to the same conclusion today. I woke up being super hyped for Sasquatch, rolled for him which took my last 4 keys and then read the news about their upcoming web shop 'event' which is basically just gacha gambling. As much as I like the game I realised that I dont think I enjoy it. It stresses me out, the constant fomo, crazy expensive bundles and overall greed from SD. This shit isnt good for me and I know i either quit now or waste a bunch of money and quit later, so I'm done.
Man, what a loss. You will be missed Sir. I always watched your videos on new cards and seasons etc. first. You did such an amazing job at it from the research to the visuals you set up and your willingness to be open and honest with us about if you'd be getting the cards yourself. You were/are still the best content creators in the community bar none, don't care what anyone else says. I've been wondering if we'd see something like this when I noticed a distinct lack of your snap or pass videos. I totally understand why you quit and I wish you well man. Much Love. 💜

I feel it man. I've been playing pretty consistently since Miles Morales season when I first started. Been a sub since around OG Leader meta. It's sad but I've been slowly playing less and less as well. Ill still be here 💪 and there's nothing wrong with change. Evolution drives Life.

I’ve been teetering wether or not I should quit snap for a couple weeks. Your video helped me realize that I really am burnt out from snap. I haven’t even have the will to do dailies. If you’re not having fun it’s better to put it to rest before it becomes a chore.
I got burnt out and quit a while ago. Caved and bought the season pass for the first time and the card got nerfed by the end for the third month in a row. The cards you can buy directly just happen to be determined to be too good right as the pass is ending. I don’t buy it the pay to win aspect couldn’t be more obvious. By this point I’d long run out of series 3 cards to collect and many people had as far as 6 months earlier. Maybe I’ll come back in two years when there’s a series 3 pool again.
I was burnt out for a while felt it wasn’t as fun as it used to be to be gave it like 5 weeks/1 season and it was really fun again it only natural to get burned out give it a break trust me
@@armanilibertini2832 I’m sure a lot of people can relate to that but I have no desire to come back especially without cards to unlock. The new player experience is fantastic and you get so much value at the start but then you hit a point where it completely switches up on you where it’s much harder to unlock anything without buying expensive bundles with keys that I can use to gamble on maybe getting cards I want. In other card games every card is accessible even if you have to use a lot of resources to add it to your collection. I get the appeal of playing casually but if I’m playing a game like this I want access to cards I can win with when I’m in infinite to account for more and more of the series 1-3 cards being power crept out. This was the last of burnouts of multiple similar card games so it also has to do with being tired of the ways these games incorporate monetization in general. I probably would’ve bought the season pass another 3-6 months before stopping to support the game if I was still able to unlock other useful stuff besides one new card a month. Had a ton of fun playing and I’m pumped for Ben Brode’s success after how much I loved Hearthstone in its first few years and enjoy watching content creators like Cozy and Alexander Coccia still (would’ve said Drew too for Snap if this wasn’t about him stopping) but I’m getting way more enjoyment out of smaller games with less monetization.
If you don't like it, it's better to quit, but it really doesn't take that much time to get all the resources every week. You just doing your dailies for like 10 minutes a day.
As a guy who was whaling, I just stopped supporting the game because while I do spend money, I’m also not a fan of the feeling that you HAVE to spend money a lot of people have. I made a fully free to play account and stopped playing immediately because it’s REALLY REALLY bad. I understand that they do need to make money, but it’s actually just greed. I can’t continue to support the game when it’s getting blatantly obvious they’re trying to profit maximize while not doing anything for the people who play and love the game. It’s 12 steps back, 1 step forward meaning there is no actual progress.

Honestly since the HUGE slap in the face during the Christmas bundle I completely fell out of love with the game…. It made me realize that the devs don’t care about their long time players…. So yeah, they don’t deserve me buying their season passes anymore. They got my $100 when I loved the game, now I just don’t have a lot of respect for them…

Good on you for doing what you enjoy! I started to despise Snap around November/December 23 when the monetisation became really, really bad and I played since launch. I can't believe how it must feel to be forced to make content for something you don't enjoy. Even if your view count may decline you can be sure that you are one of the most well liked content creators, I wish you well on any future endeavors.

Even my gf noticed i "dont talk about as much"...well yeah after spending 3 keys and getting duplicates, running into same decks and lame bundles. No point in going for infinity anymore

I think I may have played a total of 10 games this season, between Conquest and Ranked. At this point I’ll check back in for the Deadpool and Wolverine season.

Dude honestly I agree completely with you, and I’ve lost all trust with second dinner. I haven’t played since the black order update, when it released like the 4 new discard cards, and I was like “oh I don’t have the tokens to get them, and I don’t like discard that much anyways”, but then that became the meta for the next MONTH and I had none of the cards needed. Not to mention that being completely free to play like I was, is now nearly impossible with the amount of series 5 releases and crap, I just stopped caring.
Damn, but understandable. You always had the best graphics for stuff like spotlight schedules and general presentation. Will miss it, but wish you good luck in future endeavors!

Damn this video came out at the right time man. I wasn’t sure what I was feeling but the feeling of burn out is such an accurate statement I am feeling right now. It felt like I was really trying too hard to climb the ladder and keep up with the drops but I think it’s time to walk away😔 Was so fun but I do not like the meta it’s been in and I haven’t had fun for awhile now. Man, I respect why you left snap, I agree it has been getting boring, but im a free to play player, but I don't like how people usually have to pay to get gold, and rarely actually get gold in the game. but man what a loss to the snap community. Been watching for over a year now but mostly just lurked, I've loved the custom card content and you were always the person who's leak videos I would watch first. Really sad to see you go but I completely get it. I still love marvel snap but I'd be lying if I didn't say get squeezed and juiced by SD for every last penny I can give while batting away theyre disgusting psychological marketing tricks isn't tiring. It's so frustrating they have such an actually good game on their hands they don't need to do this stuff but they need every last drop man. Anyway glad to see I'll have someone I enjoy dedicated to covering Rivals, can't wait to hear your takes!
I normally play one session a day to do my 6 missions. Every season I get 9 rewards in conquest and reach rank 90 on ladder. I find my interest growing for the game but it’s mainly held back by the lack of any real competition scene. Most of these service games are hard to stick with for this long. They get repetitive, they can feel pointless after you’ve spent a long time being unsurprised by the game.
Honestly good for you man. It’s truly powerful to do something like this as a hobby and have the following you do. Your content brought a lot to the marvel snap space and I’m excited for you to bring that in to other communities too.

Proud of you for standing by your beliefs and setting an example for your audience who may feel like they've sunk too much time to quit. I quit last month after the Zabu nerf because I realized they're going to be treating the live client like a beta server instead of testing at all internally and that's too frustrating of a system for me. The monetization made me feel disrespected by Second Dinner and the game no longer felt tight enough to look past that. Enjoying my free time much more without Snap but it is sad to see such wasted potential

Very refrshing to see a video like this that isn't just bashing the game. The game has its issues but I also think people engage with it in some unhealthy ways, and for content creators, those ways are inevitable. What i mean by that is that this is a toilet game. This is meant to be played in short bursts, not for long periods. It's good as a game to log into, do some matches, and then go do something else. I think people can sometimes forget that this is literally a game to play on the toilet or on your commute. Really nice to see you play other stuff, I usually enjoy variety content more, both on youtube and my own hobbies, so it's nice to see someone do the healthy thing and change it up.
Honestly for me the game went downhill since there are cards that from series drop announcement won't go down like darkhawk and it hurt since they know at that time, darkhawk is a good card and people want it, but what they did is no series drop and drop a darkhawk bundle which tells us that "you want it? Buy it with ur money", and after that most of time they release series 5 cards and less series 4 or series drop, their greed make me drop the game Recently come back and yes, they still greedy lol, i don't mind that somethings are locked or pay because hey, it's their job and they want to be paid, but sometimes i felt that their greed is too much, their card acquisition method makes them looks so greedy So yes, really understand if you want to stop playing Snap, thanks for all your videos for Snap and have a good life man! 💪

Same feelings for me.. The game started to be too greedy, making me feel so behind that I don't want to play it anymore. Marvel Rivals looks dope, just do what you like, I will see you there. :)
NetEase is the publisher behind Marvel Snap and Marvel Rivals... they control how the game is monetized, so don't be surprised if it ends up the same way.
It's actually one of the more generous tcgs. But all tcgs are like this. They sell packs to make money. Yu-Gi-Oh you got to spend like about $3,000 a year if you want to play tier 1 because they banned the previous deck you have to buy all the new cards for the next best deck. And the mobile clients for online games like Hearthstone you have to buy the entire expansion which is like $200 every couple months. I tried that Dragon Ball super game which was fun but it had the worst mom initization ever you could never get any gems so you have to spend like $200 every two weeks or something. These games are never free. Just think of them as irl card games you got to buy a lot of packs.
I'm getting to that point too. For me it's a matter of just... Marvel Snap gives you 6 dailies a day and you have to clear them within the day or you're missing out on the currency. If you miss out on the currency you can't get the new cards which are the lifeblood of Marvel Snap. It's clear to me that if I stop playing I'll get fewer new cards, make fewer new decks and as a result play even less until I'm just out and there's no getting back in. Live games are just like that. I would generally agree that any live game you play for over a year is damn good, but you can't play them forever and once you're out you're out so... it is what it is.
I'm sure you know that you'll be missed in the Snap Community, but I can certainly understand your situation with the game and feeling like you want to move on to other things. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come out with for Rivals and plan on continuing to follow you. Best of luck in the future and here's to continued success :)

It’s crazy what this game has managed to do especially with its community and on UA-cam, idk how I found you since you were a small channel that basically just started but I’m glad I did. I’ll probably end up quitting snap too in a couple months would be my guess but I’ll definitely keep watching your videos

I ended up taking a break from Snap for a month or two because the game just became so grindy. I love the game, but I noticed that I was playing the game EVERY DAY just to make sure I was keeping up with my dailies and my credits so I didn't get behind on my Spotlight Caches. It felt like if I even just missed a small bit of playing, I would be set back too far and miss out on some new cards. Not to mention the meta was just EVEYWHERE. Their's almost TOO many viable decks in this game and the meta changes every week, sometimes even multiple times a week that it makes it really hard to prepare for every potential deck you could be facing in ranked. I've been slowly coming back into it recently, but man they really need to do something to make this game feel like less of a grind and not making players feel like they're being punished for simply just not playing the game every day.

I’ve been teetering wether or not I should quit snap for a couple weeks. Your video helped me realize that I really am burnt out from snap. I haven’t even have the will to do dailies. If you’re not having fun it’s better to put it to rest before it becomes a chore.
I got burnt out and quit a while ago. Caved and bought the season pass for the first time and the card got nerfed by the end for the third month in a row. The cards you can buy directly just happen to be determined to be too good right as the pass is ending. I don’t buy it the pay to win aspect couldn’t be more obvious. By this point I’d long run out of series 3 cards to collect and many people had as far as 6 months earlier. Maybe I’ll come back in two years when there’s a series 3 pool again.
I was burnt out for a while felt it wasn’t as fun as it used to be to be gave it like 5 weeks/1 season and it was really fun again it only natural to get burned out give it a break trust me
@@armanilibertini2832 I’m sure a lot of people can relate to that but I have no desire to come back especially without cards to unlock. The new player experience is fantastic and you get so much value at the start but then you hit a point where it completely switches up on you where it’s much harder to unlock anything without buying expensive bundles with keys that I can use to gamble on maybe getting cards I want. In other card games every card is accessible even if you have to use a lot of resources to add it to your collection. I get the appeal of playing casually but if I’m playing a game like this I want access to cards I can win with when I’m in infinite to account for more and more of the series 1-3 cards being power crept out. This was the last of burnouts of multiple similar card games so it also has to do with being tired of the ways these games incorporate monetization in general. I probably would’ve bought the season pass another 3-6 months before stopping to support the game if I was still able to unlock other useful stuff besides one new card a month. Had a ton of fun playing and I’m pumped for Ben Brode’s success after how much I loved Hearthstone in its first few years and enjoy watching content creators like Cozy and Alexander Coccia still (would’ve said Drew too for Snap if this wasn’t about him stopping) but I’m getting way more enjoyment out of smaller games with less monetization.
If you don't like it, it's better to quit, but it really doesn't take that much time to get all the resources every week. You just doing your dailies for like 10 minutes a day.

As a guy who was whaling, I just stopped supporting the game because while I do spend money, I’m also not a fan of the feeling that you HAVE to spend money a lot of people have. I made a fully free to play account and stopped playing immediately because it’s REALLY REALLY bad. I understand that they do need to make money, but it’s actually just greed. I can’t continue to support the game when it’s getting blatantly obvious they’re trying to profit maximize while not doing anything for the people who play and love the game. It’s 12 steps back, 1 step forward meaning there is no actual progress.

Honestly since the HUGE slap in the face during the Christmas bundle I completely fell out of love with the game…. It made me realize that the devs don’t care about their long time players…. So yeah, they don’t deserve me buying their season passes anymore. They got my $100 when I loved the game, now I just don’t have a lot of respect for them…

Dude honestly I agree completely with you, and I’ve lost all trust with second dinner. I haven’t played since the black order update, when it released like the 4 new discard cards, and I was like “oh I don’t have the tokens to get them, and I don’t like discard that much anyways”, but then that became the meta for the next MONTH and I had none of the cards needed. Not to mention that being completely free to play like I was, is now nearly impossible with the amount of series 5 releases and crap, I just stopped caring.
Damn, but understandable. You always had the best graphics for stuff like spotlight schedules and general presentation. Will miss it, but wish you good luck in future endeavors!

Damn this video came out at the right time man. I wasn’t sure what I was feeling but the feeling of burn out is such an accurate statement I am feeling right now. It felt like I was really trying too hard to climb the ladder and keep up with the drops but I think it’s time to walk away😔 Was so fun but I do not like the meta it’s been in and I haven’t had fun for awhile now. Man, I respect why you left snap, I agree it has been getting boring, but im a free to play player, but I don't like how people usually have to pay to get gold, and rarely actually get gold in the game. but man what a loss to the snap community. You are and still will be my favorite Snap youtuber. but this video is just facts, I really feel like people need to protest marvel Snap to lower the cost of the items and stop doing pay to get varient crap.

Been watching for over a year now but mostly just lurked, I've loved the custom card content and you were always the person who's leak videos I would watch first. Really sad to see you go but I completely get it. I still love marvel snap but I'd be lying if I didn't say get squeezed and juiced by SD for every last penny I can give while batting away theyre disgusting psychological marketing tricks isn't tiring. It's so frustrating they have such an actually good game on their hands they don't need to do this stuff but they need every last drop man.
Anyway glad to see I'll have someone I enjoy dedicated to covering Rivals, can't wait to hear your takes!

I normally play one session a day to do my 6 missions. Every season I get 9 rewards in conquest and reach rank 90 on ladder.
I find my interest growing for the game but it’s mainly held back by the lack of any real competition scene.
Most of these service games are hard to stick with for this long. They get repetitive, they can feel pointless after you’ve spent a long time being unsurprised by the game.
Honestly good for you man. It’s truly powerful to do something like this as a hobby and have the following you do. Your content brought a lot to the marvel snap space and I’m excited for you to bring that in to other communities too.
Sad how this becomes truer and truer every month. Tokens are now able to be bought with Gold. Sad as fuck how manipulative second dinner has become
You can’t directly spend gold on cards but you can directly cover said cost for cards with gold entirely in a lump sum…

I quit last month after the Zabu nerf because I realized they're going to be treating the live client like a beta server instead of testing at all internally and that's too frustrating of a system for me.
The monetization made me feel disrespected by Second Dinner and the game no longer felt tight enough to look past that.
Enjoying my free time much more without Snap but it is sad to see such wasted potential

Very refrshing to see a video like this that isn't just bashing the game. The game has its issues but I also think people engage with it in some unhealthy ways, and for content creators, those ways are inevitable. What i mean by that is that this is a toilet game. This is meant to be played in short bursts, not for long periods. It's good as a game to log into, do some matches, and then go do something else. I think people can sometimes forget that this is literally a game to play on the toilet or on your commute. Really nice to see you play other stuff, I usually enjoy variety content more, both on youtube and my own hobbies, so it's nice to see someone do the healthy thing and change it up.
Abit sad but also happy for you. Also the way to talk about the people that help you just remind me even more why you are a community favorite.
I've definitely cut back on Snap I haven't decided to quit yet, Rivals looks so much more fun and I'll continue watching your vids on Rivals.
Honestly for me the game went downhill since there are cards that from series drop announcement won't go down like darkhawk and it hurt since they know at that time, darkhawk is a good card and people want it, but what they did is no series drop and drop a darkhawk bundle which tells us that "you want it? Buy it with ur money", and after that most of time they release series 5 cards and less series 4 or series drop, their greed make me drop the game
Recently come back and yes, they still greedy lol, i don't mind that somethings are locked or pay because hey, it's their job and they want to be paid, but sometimes i felt that their greed is too much, their card acquisition method makes them looks so greedy
So yes, really understand if you want to stop playing Snap, thanks for all your videos for Snap and have a good life man! 💪

NetEase is the publisher behind Marvel Snap and Marvel Rivals... they control how the game is monetized, so don't be surprised if it ends up the same way.
It's actually one of the more generous tcgs. But all tcgs are like this. They sell packs to make money. Yu-Gi-Oh you got to spend like about $3,000 a year if you want to play tier 1 because they banned the previous deck you have to buy all the new cards for the next best deck. And the mobile clients for online games like Hearthstone you have to buy the entire expansion which is like $200 every couple months. I tried that Dragon Ball super game which was fun but it had the worst mom initization ever you could never get any gems so you have to spend like $200 every two weeks or something. These games are never free. Just think of them as irl card games you got to buy a lot of packs.

I'm getting to that point too. For me it's a matter of just... Marvel Snap gives you 6 dailies a day and you have to clear them within the day or you're missing out on the currency. If you miss out on the currency you can't get the new cards which are the lifeblood of Marvel Snap. It's clear to me that if I stop playing I'll get fewer new cards, make fewer new decks and as a result play even less until I'm just out and there's no getting back in. Live games are just like that.
I would generally agree that any live game you play for over a year is damn good, but you can't play them forever and once you're out you're out so... it is what it is.
I'm sure you know that you'll be missed in the Snap Community, but I can certainly understand your situation with the game and feeling like you want to move on to other things. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come out with for Rivals and plan on continuing to follow you. Best of luck in the future and here's to continued success :)

I quit the game months ago, and good to see you "come back" to making content about things i'm interested about
I ended up taking a break from Snap for a month or two because the game just became so grindy. I love the game, but I noticed that I was playing the game EVERY DAY just to make sure I was keeping up with my dailies and my credits so I didn't get behind on my Spotlight Caches. It felt like if I even just missed a small bit of playing, I would be set back too far and miss out on some new cards. Not to mention the meta was just EVEYWHERE. Their's almost TOO many viable decks in this game and the meta changes every week, sometimes even multiple times a week that it makes it really hard to prepare for every potential deck you could be facing in ranked. I've been slowly coming back into it recently, but man they really need to do something to make this game feel like less of a grind and not making players feel like they're being punished for simply just not playing the game every day.
