Berliner Platz is an important subway station in Essen. There is a pedestrian tunnel to the Limbecker Platz shopping center on the intermediate level. Below, there is a platform for high floor trains, indicated by a blue "U" sign. Another platform a further level down is served by low floor trains and indicated by a red "Tram" sign. Escalators provide dirct access to the lower platform from the intermediate floor.
