The french team keep on doing the same mistake they did in 2019 at the Worl Cup in France, playing quarter-finals when they started playing dirty and one of the players hold by the arm Alex Morgan on the left side. The referee saw the foul and gave a penalty in favor of U.S. Rapeno took the free-kick and the first goal like today. The referee is not being strict enough. I was an assistant coach in California and sometimes a Referee. I never lost control of the game and my team won more than 95% of the games during the year.

This is their B team brought together for these friendly matches because their A team was sidelined by Covid or Covid contact cases. I wouldn't get too smug about England. England played their absolute best against the US in the semi-final of the World Cup and it was a brilliant match but then it's been downhill since then. They lost the match for 3rd place and very recently they lost to this very same French B-team 3-1! that the US beat 2-0. England also lost to Canada (2-0). I am not sure about the new coach, I would have liked if Emma Hays would have taken up the job, she would have been perfect, sadly she was not interested.

someone should take the trouble to establish the ratio of shots that actually go on goal and shots that miss the goal. Then have a competent head coach drill the team to find the goal more often. I also wonder what magic is at work when our players shoot straight at the goalie 75% of the time, at least in those rare instances where they don't miss the goal entirely. The thing is 23 feet wide and a goalie may reach perhaps 6 feet with outstretched arms. That leaves about 17 feet of clear and empty space to place the ball in. Try it.

But from where are you writing, I mean from which country or region, where women play a gentler, fairer soccer? Asians are generally less aggressive, exceptions not withstanding. North and South Korea, Japan and China play a more civilized game. Only rule changes and better trained referees would change that in the west.

They must be because the male reporter had a serious speech impairment, ending every phrase with ..aaaah or uuuuh or oooh. Mist anoying. It is not a speach pattern used by the French in general, so why is this man still reporting?

I just watched Holland v Czech from some months back... no penalties, barely no fouling, 95+% of the teams were actually European though.
