Joe Harkins - The verifiable evidence of existence of Allah (God). This whole Universe - Multi galaxies in space, Solar System, etc. wherever your eyes reaches and you get the answer and evidence is in front of you of existence of Allah (God). Who created all these?
If u are shi3a donkey femel just sray with ur (donkey mou3amimin) and dont try 2 put ur stupid knowledg or even show us our din or even ali and his familly radya allah 3anhoum ..go tamata3i just get lost u stupid ignorant dont worry ppl are reverting to islam not to worchipe graves or ali or hussein we know ur stupid 3akida ur just disgrasse to the umah..were done here
Assalamoalekomwwb. Brother it's not right to speak in this manner to anyone Muslim, non Muslim. Shia, Sunni or anyone else. We are Muslims and we have to first of all behave like one. Rasol saw was the most respectfull person to everyone he met ung, old, Muslim or mushrik. To be a Muslim you must practice his sunnah of good maners even if you think a person is on the wrong path. We as Muslim ummah must operate as one heart. Allah unite our hearts and strekthin our eman. Ameen.
Do you have verifiable evidence for the existence of a god? (Please note: I am not asking or challenging what you believe. I am only asking about the thought process by which you decide what to believe).
Joe Harkins Greetings, we believe in Allah (God), not because we have “physical” proof of his existence, nor because we have seen him. Rather, we believe because our reasoning is that if there is a God, he would send us messengers and prophets with the message to worship him alone, as well as with *signs* to show the people. The Quran mentions that “every nation was sent a warner”. Each prophet bringing miracles and signs for THEIR specific people to see. And we believe that Muhammad (pbuh) is the FINAL messenger sent for all of mankind until the day of judgement. Apart from the miracles he received in his lifetime, we believe that the GREATEST miracle is the *Quran* . For us muslims, we reason the existence of God through his ultimate sign, the Quran. Why? Because the Quran as we believe is GOD’s literal and unchanged word. The contents could therefore contain only knowledge which an *all-knowing* being would be able to convey. In particular, knowledge regarding the *seen* (various sciences including human anatomy/embryology/psychology, geology, etc and etc), as well as the *unseen* (God, angels, etc). Is it verifiable evidence? As a matter of fact, the Quran gives us *2 tests* in order to authenticate whether it is from God. *2 challenges* to mankind which they can use in order to prove/disprove whether the Quran is indeed the work of God, or an unlettered man claiming to be a prophet in 7th century Arabia. What are the 2 tests? 1. *And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah, if you should be truthful. But if you do not - and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers* [Quran 2:23-24] God challenges mankind to produce at least a chapter like the Quran, and in other verses God tells ALL of mankind to get together and produce anything even equal to it. After all, if such a book is written by a man, surely all of mankind together could easily surpass it. This challenge is primarily aimed at the arabs at the time of Muhammad (pbuh) who were experts in arabic poetry and prose in order to defeat the melodious and perfectly flowing recitation of the Quran. Furthermore, it is also aimed at many of the “literary” minded folk. MANY *western* scholars with Ph.D’s in their respective fields have taken up to learn arabic, and have mastered the “science” of poetry in order to learn its style and prose in arabic. And if you look up many of these scholars, although they are disbelievers, even they have categorically admitted that NO man could have possible invented the Quran, let alone Muhammad (pbuh), who was widely known even by his own people to be unlettered. Meaning: unable to read and write. 2. So what about the rest of us who aren’t exactly mentally inclined to study literature? *Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an? If it had been from [any] other than Allah, they would have found within it much contradiction* [Quran 4:82] What’s the significance here? The Quran, a book revealed over a 23 YEAR period makes many *bold* claims regarding VARIOUS topics/subjects. There are also predictions within, given the circumstances within which these predictions were made, would seem ridiculously crazy to any of us, and they have come to pass. Now as for the unseen, God has promised not to show us himself, his angels, and whatever else of the unseen until we die. Otherwise, what would be the point for the test of life, or our existence? As for the unseen, as I mentioned before, there are still many *bold* claims regarding many things. Ranging from the way the earth works, to human psychology, to the anatomy of human beings, to embryology, and etc and etc. If you want to delve into the specifics, whether on your own, or with me, I’d be more than happy to. The point is, even though some of the knowledge in the Quran is now “common-knowledge” in this highly educated 21st century. To pull all this knowledge, and from where at a time when the whole WORLD didn’t have a shred of this knowledge, from the byzantinian/roman or the sassanid persian super powers, or anywhere else is absolutely insane. Let alone a secluded, backwards, and by in large illiterate, 7th century Arabia, where people literally worshipped and feared gods they made with their OWN hands by stone and wood, who buried their daughters alive as a result of social stigma, and enslaved people amongst themselves, and a place where the arabs had NO civilization, a system of a written language, books, or anything. That is the miracle for us that enables us to reason, that truly this is not from a man claiming to be a prophet, rather an all-knowing God who knows the beginning and the end. And I encourage you to research these points and read the Quran as well to truly grasp what I mentioned here.
MisterMR Pack I never asked what you believe and I made it very clear that I am not challenging what you believe. I only asked if your belief is based upon verifiable evidence. Apparently you do not have verifiable evidence for the existence of a god. But you might ask yourself, why you wasted all of that time and effort to answer a question I never asked.
Joe Harkins Actually, if you read carefully, I gave you *reasoning* from a MUSLIM’s perspective. The HOW and the WHY. And if you look closely, it IS verifiable. Every faith will reason how they will, but I gave you an example of islam.
MisterMR Pack reasoning is not evidence and reasoning is not verifiable the way evidence is. You are offering me reason because you do not have verifiable evidence. That's a very simple fact. There is nothing wrong with not having verifiable evidence for the existence of a god. I have never found anyone who does. I have found a lot of people who avoid the question by answering different questions or even attacking the question. Some even attack me. But the question remains and that is a very reasonable question. You use verifiable evidence everyday for all the things in your life except this one thing. Everything that anyone claims exists can be defined or demonstrated by verifiable evidence.
Joe Harkins Actually, that is a flawed interpretation of everything I said. You specifically asked for our reason, I gave. You asked for VERIFIABLE evidence, then I gave you your verifiable evidence. It literally could not be any crystal clearer than the 2 points of verification in islam. It isn’t just mere “reason”, it contains a literary element, as well as a scientific one if you actually cared to do some research. Using the science and literature, and the signs, one REASONS their way to a God. The same way you know that your father is biologically your father, without carrying out a DNA test to prove he is related to you. In the case of God, you seem to have a very subjective view of what exactly “verifiable evidence” is. Look closely to the initial 2 points again, reasoning is a mere aspect of reflection regarding WHAT you do with the evidence that is in your face. The evidence itself is tangible, and does not depend on reason. Every time a scientist gathers “verifiable evidence” for something, they don’t stand there staring at it to tell them what it means. They interpret its meaning, and they REASON their way through....
