I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! Of all the things that happen in The Pendragon Cycle, I was sure they wouldn't be able to pull off the bull dancing. And here they are, doing it FOR REAL, not even CGI. Looks exactly how I imagined it❤❤❤
I finished the first book recently and seeing that they're actually doing the bull dancing without cgi makes me unexplainably happy!

@@Uhtredrag1080 Not CGI, more like visual effects. Big difference, I doubt they are going to make a CGI bull for instance. More like video manipulation type of stuff, which is totally fine. Also, it does seem like she is in the arena at the same time as the bull but at a safer distance so probably camera angle DoF manipulation. Props to Rose for being physically involved in a lot of her scenes and also props to her stunt double.

This looks absolutely fantastic! I didn't think the bull dancing part of the books was going to be included in the series, mad respect for the entire production team.
Just imagining that ancient Cretan teenagers would do this back in the day for sport is mind blowing. Great job Daily Wire!

Holy shit. That looks incredible. That's something that's not even attempted by productions like GOT or HOTD. This looks exactly as what that major scene in the book is supposed to look like.

I understand the annoyance with overusing "literally," but in the computer age (when people are constantly speaking in hyperboles) it actually does have a time and place lol
I literally got emotional watching this, I don’t know why. I’m just so in awe and excited for this series and that it looks like it’s gonna be just as good as the source material.

I did too... always fascinated with the Minoans and their tragic end when Thera erupted, it devastated the entire civilization.
The production values on this look amazing. Don't trip over the finish line. Make sure a lot of time is spent on the editing. Looks fantastic so far.
I have just one request with this along with streaming of this please for the love of Mike give us a Blu Ray of this show. So that it can be passed down to posterity.

The stadium and the costumes are exactly as I imagined they would be when I read the book! Though I imagined the bulls to be more like small moving mountains but thats just my hyper imagination 😂 This scene was essential to set context to another action sequence later in the story so I'm so happy you decided to include it. After waiting so long for it was totally worth it! Well done team 🎉
I have been reading the books, and the one thing I hoped they would do but did not seem possible, was the bull dance! I can't wait!

Practical over VFX! Though using a paper matchet bull would have been a lot safer. I can't wait to see this on film!!!

Not that there is not a time and place for digital effects but always secondarily to practical effects.
P.S. The Oscar-winning special effects for 'Jurassic Park' still holds up after more than thirty years because it was such a great blend of both practical and digital effects.

I played bull hockey once in a rodeo half-time show and can attest that there is NOTHING else like being in the arena with a bull that has murder on it's mind. Now I have to watch this!

This is looking lovely. I found the pendragon cycle when i was in school. Read it and fell in love with the story. So much so that Charis-et became my screen name when playing mmos.

Watch the rest of the production diaries. It's been over a year and a half since their initial announcement of the adaptation of Lawhead's "Pendragon Cycle" books. More fantasy adaptations will surely come in the coming years.

I was on the edge of my seat watching this video! I just hope the editing and final presentation do this amazing work justice. I was quite disappointed with Tom Cruise's motorcycle jump in the last M:I film the youtube video was WAY COOOLER than what the movie showed.
