    I have made some tooling out of H13. It is amazingly tough. Nearly white hot I had to use power hammer to move it at all. I don’t know how to go about anealing it.
    Nice video Gary.

      “Annealing, Soak thoroughly at 840-860°C before furnace cooling at a maximum rate of 20°C per hour down to 600°C followed by cooling in air.” That is straight off the net.

      Lol! You must be new to the channel, that has been covered many times before. I cut through it with my plasma cutter.

      @@garyhuston Not new at all, been here since you´ve had the hand surgery or thereabouts. I´ve just never noticed weirdly enough.
      Thank you for your videos, it never gets boring watching a professional work.

    Would a drift be forged at the same angles as a head stamp?

    • @garyhuston
      @garyhuston  4 роки тому +1

      Depends what the drift is for. But probably not, a lot shallower I would have thought.

    Could you please show how you punch holes on the hooves of new horses straight out of factory? Or are they punched already?

    • @garyhuston
      @garyhuston  4 роки тому

      Your comment isn’t very clear but if you mean machine made shoes then yes, they come ready punched from the factory.

      @@garyhuston I don't mean shoes. I mean hooves. Those thingies at the ends of horse feet. I have seen people using electric drills.

      I have no idea what you are talking about! Just watch a few of my shoeing videos and see how it’s done.

      @@garyhuston You hammer nails into horses through the holes in horse shoes. I just wonder if there are readymade holes in those horses.
